These two topics pretty much cover the Todd Sees story

Thanks! Well, there goes another one. Without some one who knows what to do, ask, and look for on the scene asap the facts fade away. Sorry about Mr. Sees, has to be rough on his family.

Yes, I second your thoughts. The Sees case reached big time status, and then exploded into a hoax. This kind of report takes the credibility of the UFO investigators back about 5 years, and awhile to recover. It is unfortunate, but just one of the negatives of the job I guess.

Dr. Hynek always made this point in his books and lectures. It takes a lot of financial backing to keep a group of UFO investigators going, and ready to fly anywhere when a report appears to be genuine. It's just like the scene of a crime. The quicker you respond, the less evidence is lost.

Thanks for the reply rocketman. One thing that I don't understand about alien abduction is their trying to suppress abductees memories... it isn't working. You would think that they would have figured that out by now. Maybe the "who's going to believe you" angle would work better for them. smiley

Memories of an early abduction:

Novato California
1958 time is unknown
The witness, a 12-year old boy at the tie, had a vague memory of striking someone with his air rifle after he had seen a UFO on a hill. There were several hours of time unaccounted for. Under hypnosis ten years later he remembered being forcibly taken into a UFO where 2 tubes were inserted into his chin and a blood sample was taken. The "spacemen" were about 5-foot tall, with big heads, big eyes, & stubby fingers. The boy later developed sores over his body, and hair on his head fell out, & two bruises appeared on his chin.

Sorry guys, the story is from the old HUMCAT
listing, and if Harder had any more details those are
probably in the APRO archives and who knows where they are.

Yes I have to agree with backlit, you would have thought by now they would have figured the hypnosis stuff out. Unfortunatly in the world we live in the chances are that it would be easier to just let people think you made it up. Maybe they do it so you don`t remember the probing or examinations, or the nasty stuff. That would mean at least they realize that what they do can be extremley painful or stressful. But it cannot be can it or you would not remember it. even under hypnosis. Thats a good point Backlit. I`m going to ponder that one.

Good point on last post. It does seem like that the earlier abductions from the 60s and 70s had the "strong suggestion not to reveal" in them. Now those abductions come lately seem for the most part to be void of this part. Am I wrong?

The witness, Cecilia Torres, was lying in bed when suddenly she heard a loud humming sound. Suddenly several tall human like figures appeared, grabbed her, and somehow transported her into a huge hovering triangular shaped craft. The beings were described as white, with long blond hair and wearing bright red tight fitting outfits. Onboard the craft she was apparently examined by the beings. She was later brought back to her bed. Her parents heard a loud humming sound, ran to her room, and found her apparently paralyzed & lying on her bed. Looking out the window they saw a large traingular shaped craft enveloped in a bright bluish light that was quickly flying away from the area at high speed.

Oh boy! the Abduction Diaries are going to premier on the Sci-Fi channel Friday along with something about Roswell. Back on subject...
Some of them seem to have a bit of compassion for our physical pain but when it comes to psychological distress they are somewhat lacking in the ability to suppress this. Yes Rocketman it seems to me that more and more the abductions are "message" oriented. As in Goblins article where the victim is paralyzed, isn't that more of the norm now than say back in the Betty and Barney Hill era? I don't recall the Hills being paralyzed. I'm usually wrong about this stuff anyway. Say, don't these beings do information sharing? I wonder how many people you have to examine to figure out humans are pretty much the same. I wonder if it is some kind of genetic tracking thing going on.
