SCIENTISTS EXPLAIN ALIEN ABDUCTEE THEORY

SCIENTISTS have found people who claim to have been abducted by aliens tend
to believe in fantasies, suffer disturbing experiences in sleep, and 'dream'
even after waking up.

Research by the American Association for the Advancement of Science, said
'abductees' believe so strongly in their experiences that they display real
stress symptoms similar to traumatised battlefield veterans.

Up to four million Americans claim to have been abducted by
extra-terrestrials.

Professor Richard McNally from Harvard University, said people who believed
they had been abducted had 'pre-existing new-age beliefs - they were into
bio-energetic therapies, past lives, astral projection, tarot cards and so
on.'

In addition, episodes of sleep paralysis and hallucinations were also common.
This would lead to visits to therapists who would suggest alien abduction,
which would then be accepted as a logical explanation.

Professor McNally's rational explanation of alien abduction, recounting
abduction experiences under lab conditions, has been endorsed by other
psychologists at the University of California.

As you say, hj, the key word here is theory, and there are plenty of those to go around!

This particular one does nothing to address the testimony of multiple witnesses, or the fact that for many abductees these experiences begin in early childhood - long before they've had a chance the develop "New Age" ideas.

Perhaps another angle on the personailty traits mentioned (although I don't see that they are always consistant), is that an individuals interest in, or openness to, a particular event would naturally up the odds that they might experience such an event. For example, if I have a deep interest in archeology and have spent time studying, exploring, digging, etc., I would be much more likely to uncover an ancient artifact than, say, someone whose interest is model trains. Who knows, maybe such open mindedness is actually a prerequiste to the experience, something necessary to accepting an event so outside the "norm". Although again, there are plenty of people who never give UFO's or New Age ideas any credibility who become abductees.

Lots of holes in the theory. Besides - why would such traits or interests discount the possible reality of the abduction? After all, a soldier whose life has been the military can still suffer from post traumatic stress syndrome.

Hope everyone is well in these trying times. Arion

There are always theorists who claim to know so much, but I always say the proof is in the pudding. I have recently gone through some of my files while I have been transfering them to a new and bigger server. In doing so, I decided to separate my articles into more specific sub-topics. I now offer everyone a page full of true life alien abductions. See it here:

http://www.ufocasebook.com/alienabductions.html

Each case is totally unique within itself, this is why I dislike cover-all explanations for this phenomena.

cool bjbooth Since you have been going through your files have you come across anything on the Groom wars and the Dulce wars? I have several files but cannot seem to find anything else on it. If you have info I like to look at it if you would let me. I have been looking into unmapped caves or endless caves for entrances into the "lair" not guarded. Just for informational purposes LOL Peace and Safety AbductedSoul

I did have some info on underground tunnels, caves, etc, dealing with military secretism. I won't have time to look through them all for a little bit, but I believe you will find them on one of these two pages.

I think it is nightmares, spirit channeling, the Paranormal, earth energies, people energies. Angels, wicca, rainmakers, witchdoctors, clairvoyance clairaudiance, remote viewing, shamanic initiation, and more.

Hello grin, i just joined the forum and was immediately impelled to reply to you 'Abducted Soul'. I see from your post that you have a negative view of contact, i personally don't use the term 'abduction' it is a very negative term and implies that the contact happens against the persons will, what i mean by this is, that on a soul level i am a willing participent in the union, it is only my conscious ego that would become afraid, if i were not as attuned to my soul, so i can understand your view, if the people you have witnessed are not attuned to their higher nature, and have no purpose in life, as states in your list of 'symptoms' then their experiences would surely be negative and dark( not forgetting their are dark entities)

For me, as i have said i am a willing participent, you see it is my theory that the entities i have contact with, whom are more advanced spiritually, in some cases,( so are more attuned to their higher mind than their conscious ego's) hear three voices, the loudest, is the higher mind/soul/spirit of the human they are interacting with, this voice says something like" i am a willing participent in this union, for i know it is good for my growth", or something of this ilk, the second voice is that of the sub-conscious, which is not as loud as the higher mind(as the higher mind is in control, within a spiritual union) say for instance the human has had abuse in their life, then the second voice would say"abuse me, because that equals love" or something of the sorts. The third voice, the quietest to the entity, is the voice of our conscious ego, normally the loudest voice, in an average everyday person, to the entity it is a meak voice in the backgroung saying" go away, leave me alone" after all our ego does not like being out of control eh? So from this theory you can see why a person who is more spiritually aware, can have a more spiritually fulfilling experience, because we are more aware of the voice of our higher mind, and through my contact experiences, which are still occuring, i am learning to overcome the fears of my conscious ego wink And am having great fun, creating lot's of wonderful opportunities in my life " I Love this Planet! It's Everything The Brochure Said It Would Be".

I have been a contactee since the tender age of 8, the larger part of my experiences have been very positive and fullfilling fo me, i will discuss this further if you are interested cheesy

Thanks alot for you thoughts, and welcome to our Forum. I hope you will continue to share your views here. Our board is open to all ideas, that is how we expand our mind and learn. It is true that alien contact in general has adopted the tag of "abduction" as many of the first reported ones were not a good experience for those involved. Of course, that is not the case in ALL of the cases of contact.

Hi, B.J. Like H.J. I have never experienced this either. I keep a close eye on the boards and have as yet I have not seen any problems. That does not mean it is not happening to others?

I would say that Abductions are both figments of the imagination and real life experiences. Because of the current popularity of alien abduction stories, a person's imagination may interpret the light as an encounter with aliens. Alien ships always seem to be described as just slightly more advanced than our own technological development. This would be hallucinatory and sub conscious reality. Most of all, it leaves us with the knowledge that in exploring this
phenomenon, we may at times have to revise theories to make them fit the facts,
instead of revising the facts to make them fit the theory.
We can experience real life abduction experiences, because during regression some abductees mention things that their reactive mind and subconscious mind do not have..it's really surprising. We just have to follow our intuition in this.. huh
