I find it interesting that we judge Aliens by assigning them Human traits Could be that they know nothing of the way we behave in our lives and they watch us to learn and try to figure us out. To someone with no previous knowledge of human behaviour we must almost be incomprehensible. I would imagine that Aliens are as complicated and varied as we are and there is sense in the statement that you would either want them as neighbours or not. but by merit of the fact that they are aliens, they may have behavioural attributes that we haven't even considered

In our [human] conscious perception, we tend to see things with polarized eyes. This is part of what we are, duality, good and evil, etc.
Just try to imagine a life form that has either came from another perception of reality (think another spacial dimension) or has risen beyond the duality state of being.
If a being is still playing the same old song and dance as us humans, bouncing around tinkering with worlds, then they are not that advanced. Just a few clicks beyond what we can comprehend. But I would imagine beings that are multidimensional would seem totally and absolutely foreign to us. Most people would be terrified but not all.
In The Emerald Tablet, it is written, "What is the above is from the below and the below is from the above. The work of wonders is from one." - said to be the writings of Hermes Trismegistus - 1/2 Greek God and 1/2 Egyptian God. I believe this to be from the perception of duality. So if this rings true, any being that still resides in our perceptional range and hangs around Earth is more or less the same as humanity with varying degrees of benevolence to malevolence.
It would naive to assume all intelligence life would be from our duality take on the cosmos. Perhaps some beings must "appear" to a human as something we can understand? Perhaps this is where some of the myths of angelic and demonic entities arise from? Depending on how a person would perceive them.
Many human beings live in a state of fear. The unknown seems either "spooky" or can take on some form of idealistic "good aliens" aspect.
I personally think that there are a few races that are on Earth for their own purposes, unknown to us, while others simply observe.
But until Mork from Ork says nanoo nanoo [some pun intended, lol] to me, I can not say with any definitive assurance what any other form of intelligent life would look like.
Maybe the Goetian Demon King Baal, which is said to have 3 heads (center human, left frog, right cat) and walks like a spider, is one such perception?
There are reports of translucent craft appearing out of no where. Ever think some of these "craft(s)" may be a living multidimensional being? That can, at its conscious will, visit other spacial dimensions. Just how could these beings present themselves in a way that wouldn't frighten us humans? Is time and duality even a concern to them?
Think quantum mechanics. What if a being could be in more than one space at a given time until it is observed. Hmm, the possibilities are endless.

The good ones are just good at mind manipulation, keep your mind integrity, at least after. When you should be frightened and your are not... this is not a sign of goodness. Respect and a feasible approach to mutual knowledge would be 'goodness', not this.
