Man does that soothe the bones, very relaxing indeed probably the first time I have heard any Bruford solo stuff etc. Now playing Halford Insurrection Live, brutal industrial neo gothic metal...The Metal God, PowerKnight wink

Glad you liked it.......I have always been fan of melodic jazz.
I don't often listen to loud rock anymore....as in metal or very hard rock...I must be getting too old. I still play some intense prog rock but not the in your face crunch metal kind.
Bruford only plays jazz these days (for the last 20 years more or less..) and is mostly retired from what I have read.

Not a bad track...I have a confession to make...I still haven`t got this album, okay you can shoot me if you like that`s fine! I still love my hard rock/metal and there is nothing quite like a full frontal brain assault with the decibels at max volume.
I can`t hack all that nu-metal stuff, nothing in quality or quantity, it`s lost that focal point in direction, PowerKnight wink

Brilliant choice MOKSHA, that is vintage classic Scorpions, Klaus Meine is a vocal legend always trips me back to my middle to late teens with so many memories from that time, PowerKnight wink

Impeccable musical taste, drwu.

I particularly enjoy the Lark's Tongues in Aspic series of instrumentals, probably because Fripp is a maestro. Here's number four:

Great stuff.....but then I am biased. grin
I still like parts 1 and 2 the best but 3 and 4 are also nice.

Another of my favorite KC tracks with a similar chord style:

I've never heard of this group before. The retro keys (love those), lively bass, melodic guitar, and percussion are all quite excellent. This is one I'll have to listen to again and again at different times in order to fullly appreciate the various textures. Thanks!

I still listen to old metal. Here's an old favorite of mine from back in the day:

I also can't forget Joe Satriani.

Never heard of Chastain before....good guitarist but didn't really care for that track that much... typical fusion metal.
Satriani of course is well known as well as people like Vai...again both excellent guitarists but in the end they seem derivative of earlier guitar styles. They play fast and clean but I don't hear a lot of 'soul' in these flash guitarists. Not knocking them, that's just my impression.
I liked Psycho Monkey better than Andalusia because I like psych rock and it had that edge.
btw I have a very large collection of older psych rock (1966-1979) and prog rock (1969-1980) as well as many new prog bands from 1980-present ...if you have any bands you want to know about just ask.
