What a great clip and track.....that's my favorite Trower lp but I have all the early ones. He left Procol Harum bcause he wanted to do Hendrix type blues rock.
Yes, I've read the Trower interviews where he talked about how he was mystified with the way Jimi's sound didn't match his fingers. BTW, not many people are aware of Jimi's secret Blues ambitions. I have a lot of his relatively unknown Blues works.
THAT WAS REFRESHING TO LISTEN TO....ANOTHER PICKER WHOM DREAMED OF HENDRIX... ROBIN WASN'T STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN...BUT BOTH DID SOME QUALITY HENDRIX RENDITIONS...
Yes, he did Zetar. It's not surprising that pickers like Robin and Stevie emerged. Jimi changed the way the guitar is played, all by his lonesome. But true to form of any great artist, he deferred all the credit to Elmore James. I still have a few releases from the man of the coke bottle glasses as well.

;Bloody great stuff, Ghost Chickens In The Sky , first time I have heard an alternative version of this classic! Love the banjo player, seriously this is not only the greatest country n western songs ever it`s one of the most exquisite and beautiful songs ever recorded end of. Checkout The Blues Brothers version, it`s so good it`s spooky with the added FX, PowerKnight
