I have always been a hard rock/metal fanatic but over the years my musical spectrum has expanded beyond anything I would never have imagined years back! Actually the film score from Eyes Wide Shut the Kubrick classic and a very tasty soundtrack to go with it. PowerKnight wink

It`s not exactly the best soundtrack in the world but there are a few tracks that stand out, I probably got it for just a couple of tracks from the actual soundtrack itself. PowerKnight wink

Never been a huge King Crimson fan but yes they were a good band very progressive but talented. I generally love 70s progressive rock a golden moment along with the early to mid 70s hard rock/metal bands. Long Live Rock n Roll...Long Live Ronnie James DIO. PowerKnight wink

Maybe we should start a list of 'songs for the end times'...?

Actually, I thought that video was cool. Hated the song though.

Alanis sings her heart out. Unfortunately not to the quality of Janis or somebody like that. But she definitely earns her points for effort. I think where she got herself in trouble was during that political phase. It's not the sixties anymore, and a generation just hasn't been able to develop a consensus since those days. After issues like Sinead Occonor or the Dixie Chicks ran into? It's probably wisest for performers to keep quiet about their opinions these days.

They're entitled to have them. But it seems like their pocketbooks suffer if they vocalize. With what the RIAA has done to them in recent years, they can ill afford that.

And in my humble opinion, the RIAA has almost killed rock and roll in America. But wasn't that their all time record Golden Goose? Idiocy knows no bounds. grin grin

Over a very long period of being a music collector I now explore avenue`s of nostalgia and exotica. It makes music collecting and of course listening much more interesting, currently playing 60s Brit pop and a host that inspired a generation including the very simple and very basic pop record from that time, PowerKnight wink

Absolutely yes...you sound surprised? I also love 50s rock n roll and even 40s swing with a little jazz. My entire complete music collection spanning about 35 years or so take`s up an entire small boxroom from floor to ceiling.
It keeps getting bigger and in fact there is so much material I will never actually have the time to play every single item in my life! Anyone remember vinyl...I have around 3000 albums, singles etc and that too get`s bigger...left out my sci-fi memorabilia etc. Peace and love guys...the vibe is still there. PowerKnight wink

Not surprised.....just curious which pop. I have all of those Brit groups also but I have unloaded most of my vinyl years ago and replaced it on cd. I only have about 400 lp's left (mostly classic rock, folk, prog ) and own about 500 cd's. I have winnowed it down over the last few years and now I collect mostly prog, my passion, both known and obscure bands from 1969-present.
