That`s a good track and a good song Jethro Tull are a very good band, lovely Christmas song in typical medieval Tull style. Anderson is brilliant a great frontman multi-talented great voice to go with it.

Yeah, I remember them from the Aqualung Tour. Got to love Anderson's act tossing that flute like a baton twirler. Great singer though. I only wish they would've been more active after that, but they turned into another Traffic. Tour when you wish, write when you feel like it. Maybe.

Ah, the problems of being rich. grin

All true. I wonder if Jimi ever realized he was changing the way artists in every branch of music would use the fretboard forever? Just one man. And not one person taught him squat about playing the guitar when he first started. A true natural.

Great track and yes Jimi Hendrix was pure raw talent he didn`t need to refine what he was doing it just poured out of his soul.
His greatest solo among many...All Along The Watch Tower...if that solo doesen`t stop you dead in your tracks then I don`t know what will. Every time I hear it even now it`s spellbinding...floating notes done with little ease and I haven`t heard anyone do that since. Can you imagine had he lived longer how he could have refined his style into another dimension of playing. PowerKnight wink

He actually got close as it was. Arranging so many tunes in a series of repeating ripped licks like that. People got the hang of that, as well as his method of using power chords. But who has ever mastered the use of constant feedback on the other strings for background fill? Vaughn came close, as did Trower. But they were trying to, and as a result, it showed. They still made great music though. But the depth of Jimi's raw talent will be hard to match.

Despite resistance from stuffed shirt types because of his drug use, Seattle still erected a memorial for him, leaving little doubt as to who is considered the city's favorite son. That was quite the accomplishment back then. The man was black, and ate enough acid to give an entire army hallucinations. It's a real tribute to his talent for him to overcome all those biases in those days.

Ticks me off that he died before I could catch a concert.

To be honest if it wasn`t for his love of acid etc he wouldn`t have created many incredible moments, the solo I mentioned sounds and feels like dreamy floating note`s just pouring out of his axe. Took on all the white players and beat them hands down, incredible beyond talent, PowerKnight wink

Hendrix was good in the beginning. By the time Electric Ladyland came out he was just pumping out long ego feeding noise.
'Hey Joe', 'Foxy lady'; love them. The late stuff; rubbish.
