@reasoner - continuing on your points -

He has written several books. I think he probably has read a number of books in his lifetime. He speaks not like a 4 year old, but he speaks so that he is not talking over the heads of the people he is trying to deal with, in the case of being in Kentucky, it's not necessary to use multi-syllables to make the same point you can talking like an ordinary person would do at a rally for blue-collar workers.

What else.... come on .. is that all you got?

Could the lens you are using be one of something you perceive to be important, but many do not? Like Johnson, Lyndon, who would speak while doing number 1 & 2 on the toilet to his staff?* Our presidents in the past have been drinkers, been in the pockets of special interests and have had sex addictions..

Again I ask.. what lens are you using?

*while standing there with door open watching him.. shocked
(now that is worse than anything you can imagine .. right?)

grin

Tommi,

.. or listen in on a good female drinking session.. you would be MORTIFIED..

Got to agree with you there. There are few things a vile as a collection of drunken women.

Trump is going to to take America down the pan if the republican Grandees don't keep him in check.

Interesting that you think the good people of Kentucky can't string two syllables together.

"There is nothing new about a Russian government seeking to exert influence in Western countries. For many decades, the Soviet Union supported Western communist parties and ran disinformation campaigns {Operation Infekton, the campaign to convince the world that the United States invented AIDS, was one of the most famous}. The KGB slipped money and guns into the hands of terrorists and extremists, the Red Army Faction, and the Irish Republican Army among them.

After the demise of the Soviet Union, these games stopped. The KGB was in disarray; more important, a large part of the Russian establishment then wanted to join the , not undermine it.

But now we live in a different era. Russia is run not buy 'reformers' but by very rich men who believe that Western institutions, and Western democratic ideals, threaten their power and their stolen money.

They have returned to their old tactics --- but with new twists."

I stand corrected in that Trump didn't submit an invoice. The part of me that felt the story was too incredible didn't win out, as I felt it was indeed something Trump would do.

To Tommi:
As far as calling Trump vulgar, and that being subjective... of course, it's subjective. Rather than a point by point rebuttal to the rebuttal, I'll just shrug my shoulders. You clearly have made your views on Trump clear. You've also let me know that I must be some wimpy liberal who wants to help out with women's marches. Quite an excellent observation. Attack my masculinity to make me come around to your point of view. I stand by my earlier remarks that belief in the Trump phenomenon is nigh unswerving.

To cosmicjbw:
Thank you for revisiting with kind words. I don't agree with you about Trump, nor about globalists vs. globalization. Globalization is definitely a thing, and many business and political people state that they are onboard and prepared to meet the demands of it. I think in their earnestness, they ignore the inherent pitfalls of globalization of which those pitfalls sometimes carry a steep penalty for populations. I've personally been affected by offshoring, and that has been a serious setback in my life. However, (and I state this without any evidence) I don't feel that there is a globalist elite coordinating an effort to subjugate the peoples of the world with globalization. I just view all of this as corporations gonna earn money, no matter who they have to step on. All that being said, I hope you enjoy your time on the site and find the discussions rewarding.

To HAL:
As far as military build up, we're screwing our social net so that we can have a bigger military. Whether we need a huge military or not can be argued ad nauseum, but in THEORY, it's an excellent deterrent, and as you can see, well, the United States certainly does stay in practice with using all that hardware. I'll leave that argument for another day, but to the specific question of how much is too much...

I don't understand why we have to spend so much more currently. I think it may have to do with revamping the navy, as things are changing in the Pacific with China. Ships are expensive, yo.

Well, actually I didn't mean YOU in particular standing out in the rain, in a pink pussy hat, waving a sign that says "Grab Them By The Pu**Y", standing next to a feminist with purple hair hanging out of her hijab headscarf, with the American flag imprinted on it, standing next to someone dressed up like a vagina, but instead from a distance looks like a hotdog in a bun... and the demonstrator's cries of the Islamic prayer song are winning over the drums in the distance, all the while nursing a fascist mentality and growing a mindset and movement like Antifa..

No.. I wasn't speaking about you in particular, just what the left has become in general..

And you criticize Trump?? grin grin

Reasoner,

... Attack my masculinity to make me come around to your point of view...

It's what these feminists do. if they can't crush your spirit they try to crush your balls.

...I stand by my earlier remarks that belief in the Trump phenomenon is nigh unswerving...

Right on, Brother.

Tommi,

...into all this fake news that is out to get Trump....

? Perhaps a few examples will help .

I'm not a feminist, I'm a unicorn, and I've been a ball buster since I was born. Has nothing to do with feminism and everything to do with good debate.
cool

In fact, I remember my father telling me if I was ever in a country like Sicily, I wouldn't last 20 minutes.. so you can just imagine how much I come by this naturally.. I think!

@Hal

Let's see.... that he presented a bill to Germany. That he lies all the time. That he p*ssed in a bed in Russia that Obama slept in. That he is in cahoots with Russia. That he and his wife looked unhappy together. That he sleeps with pandas. That he is an antisemite. That he hates blacks and is a racist. That he doesn't like KFC. That he does like KFC. That he doesn't read. That he only reads cartoons. That he is a dictator. That he doesn't like dogs as much as cats. That he wants to destroy the US constitution. That he wants to destroy America..... should I go on?
