Hey Flat,

Those fake videos are everywhere now. Disheartening.

Hiya Crystal,

Those fake vids sure do a disservice to the cause! I'm a creative type (retired design guy), so I'd actually like to try my hand at making a video just for the fun of seeing how realistic I could make it, but then I'd be one of THEM! (So I'm not going there.)

I like the old cases because they often have lots of supporting evidence. The Phoenix Lights sure was an interesting one. I read a book about triangle UFOs and it was shown that those types of UFOs were observed quite a while ago. Many believe they are products of the US, but that's not supported by the old reports.

Good morning Flat,

I believe the Hudson Valley sightings reported triangle UFO's. Don't have the book, had to give away many books when we moved. I am a book hoarder grin

"Night Siege: The Hudson Valley UFO Sightings" is what I am thinking of.

As for your fake video, why not make one as long as you mark it as such. It's when they try to pass them off as real that I get so p'o'd.

Well, my copy is pretty well worn, but.....

Night Siege

The Hudson Valley UFO Sightings

Dr. J. Allen Hynek, Philip J. Imbrogno, Bob Pratt
(Copyright 1998 by the Hynek Estate, Imbrogno, and Pratt; Hynek died in '86)

Preface

"Something truly extraordinary happened not too long ago in the Hudson Valley just a few miles north of New York City. Hundreds, and probably thousands, looked up in the sky and saw something they had never seen before.

It was enormous, awesome, and spectacular. It was seen not just once but many times over a period of more than three years. No one knew what it was. No one yet knows.

Many people believe it was a spaceship from another world. Whatever it was, it was described by many competent, professional people as a startling series of bright lights, generally in the form of a V or boomerang.

It moved slowly and silently and was easily as big as a football field--some witnesses said as big as 3 football fields.....)

Thanks Swamprat & good morning to you cheesy

I couldn't stand it, I just slunk (slinked? slank? slunked?) over to Amazon & got a used copy. The Hudson Valley sightings were much more prolific and spanned a longer period than I imagined before reading the book.

Crystal,

I'm familiar with the Hudson Valley flap but I didn't read the book. Looks like I'll have to get it! That one seemed to be the same thing that was seen over Phoenix a few years later. Very interesting how these things are reported in several places around the same time, and then are not seen again.

As for making videos, I know of one person who was good at it did just that- he made a disclaimer saying that they were fake and just for fun, but the videos were copied and passed off as real sightings by others. I think I'll pass on it.
