You are so very right Betty...it's just like Wag The Dog? They divert you away from a main issue to something else, and before you know it, that issue is dead and gone. I'ts kind of funny if you read between the lines on some things there you may or will find out some truths..
Undergrounds are all around the world..Even not far from me in New York and I hear there is also one in Penna..but I'm not sure on the location of that one..(Mountain Region)

Taking the underground facilities one step further there is a underground base near where i live it can be accessed by road or rail the entrance has very little security and it is said that in the time of war or whatever i live in the UK by the way, The Government and the Royal Family would be moved here. It is also said that there are other secrets stored here what exactly no one knows

I was born in a city called Temple, Texas, and although I have moved a bit here and there, I, in my older days, have moved back within about 12 miles of my birth town.

Living about 25 miles from Fort Hood most of my life, I have heard stories about what is kept underground at a base called Grey Air Force, which is separate from but adjacent to Ft. Hood. About anything you could image had been put forward as to what was kept there, atomic bombs, secret weapons, communications center, etc.

In 1965, yes I was already alive then, I was an angry, young, long-haired hippie who played in a dang good band. Lead guitar and back up vocals. We played Beatles' tunes, Stones, Doors, Rascals, you name it.

Anyway, we got the gig for New Years Eve at the Grey Base, which paid 400.00 for about 4 hours, there were 4 of us in the group, and that kind of money in that day was a weeks salary. We jumped on the opportunity.

Our manager, Mr. William Blackburn, was a well-known business man in the Killeen, Texas area and managed the reputable Cowhouse Motel there. His son, Bill was our drummer, and a good one. Anyway Mr. Blackburn was given instructions on how to approach the base, and get clearance.

On that New Year's Eve we took off to the base in three vehicles, and one trailer with our equipment. Located just off US 190, we came to the front gate. There was a security facility, with one soldier manning the rarely approached gate.

Mr. Blackburn led the way, and stopped at the gate, we were all rubbernecking to see what came next. In under 60 seconds, two jeeps approached us. We were instructed to follow the first jeep, and the second one brought up the rear.

Each jeep had one driver, two armed guards which kept their weapons at their side the whole time. Also, each vehicle had a mounted machine gun on the back. We followed the first one in to the place of the New Year's celebration. As we arrived, the two guards on the first jeep led us into the dressing and stage area. They stayed right by the stage througout the gig. Each hour we took a fifteen minute break, which meant exiting through the dressing room door and going outside, where the other two armed guards watched us the whole time. They said nothing to us, and we nothing to them. The two jeeps were parked nearby, the driver still sitting behind the wheel.

After about 4 hours, the entire process was repeated as we left the base. This brings up no closer to the truth behind the mysteries, but it does tell us something. There are things hidden from the general public that are guarded heavily, and anyone who would attempt to access these secrets would pay with their life.

This one looks just like some of the craft that have been photographed.

Agile and stealthy
It is a single seat, single engine design and with a reported maximum altitude of 6100 metres (20,000 feet). Its top speed is a relatively sedate 480 km/h (300 mph).

The aircraft has been revealed but the stealth technologies remain secret (Image: Boeing)
The unconventional configuration of the Bird of Prey suggests it has been designed to be highly agile and stealthy. But even though the aircraft itself has been revealed to the public, the stealth systems designed to suppress acoustic, infra-red, radar and even visual signatures are likely to be as highly classified as ever.
Sources suggest they may include active camouflage systems to reduce visibility by using panels or coatings that change colour or luminosity. This could allow safe combat missions in daylight, rather than being restricted to night flying. "And that would represent a revolutionary milestone in aerial warfare," says Cook.
It is known that such technologies have been studied for several years, most probably at the remote test site in the Nevada desert near Groom Lake, better known as Area 51. This was also the probable location for the Bird of Prey's 38 test flights.

I saw an excellent documentary on Area 51 the other night of the History Channel. There were a number of things I learned from the show. They did talk about the secret planes and such, but also about how the government has slowly bought more and more land thereby keeping the public further and furthe away.

Yes, I believe that there were some pretty brave people that had come a little close, and taken some still and moving pics that got out to the public. They stopped it cold.

In regards to Bettys comment I should agree that area 51 holds our attention sort of like a traffic accident. I personally feel that anything of great interest has left there. That is not to say that highly secret testing of first generation conventional aircraft no longer goes on there. But my bet is somewhere out in the middle of nowhere Canadian wilderness is where they went. Low population and the bears don't talk. UFO's don't need much runway to speak of.

You could be right about this, I am sure at least, that Area 51 is not the only place that ultra top secret programs are conducted. It's popularity has made it a magnet for UFO truth seeks, and therefore virtually eliminating interest in many of the other underground facilities.

What better way to hide the fact that U.F.O`s and their occupants exsist, than keeping Area 51 in the limelight so to speak, whilst moving it all elsewhere, and there are plenty of elsewheres.

If you think about it deception is a big weapon of the military it's used big time in the event of war get your enemy looking the other way so to speak whilst you sneak in the back door i honestly think there is no longer any alien stuff at area 51 anymore thats not to say that there wasn't at some point once the rumour got out they switched the experiment to some other facilities else where.

There was a time when you could take some pics with a good camera, but Uncle Sam has slowly but suredly bought up more and more land around Groom Lake, making it farther and farher away for general public access.

Yeah, but for what purpose. Could this be a way of keeping the limelight for anything extraterrestrial at area 51, or keeping us focused on area 51 whilst the extraterrestrial stuff is elsewhere.

Did you know area 51 has uk links!!

I'm not saying there are UFO's involved but there shared technology certainly is. There is a airbase on the western scottish coast called RAF Machrinish (bad spelling im going from memory) which has a very long runway and in UK terms is very remote so what you may think but on may occations civilian radar operators have picked up unidentified fast moving aircraft in the area of this base which is supposed to be inactive there is even a civilian part to the airfiled which i believe is only used once or twice per week. The UK government is the total opposite to the US govenrment when it has something to hide they place very little security around as they can then say look if this had something worth while we would have more security i hope im making sense. Anyhow it has been said that during the small hours strange looking aircraft have been seen landing at this faciility why would the US government want to fly a top secret project with reverse engineered alien technology to the UK well it has been well documented that BAE systems had a part to play in the construction of the F-117 Stealth fighter so who knows maybe they have staff and personel working at groom lake. There also is another base located not far from stonehenge which is basically the UK equivalent of Edwards one night i forget how long ago there was a accident of a top secret us black project a/c whilst on take off which im told killed the pilot it was still on the runway at first light and it was covered over by a tarpauling and was shipped back to the us in a galaxy transport which is very hard to hide and very unusal to see at this base. I think that area 51 does have alien artifacts and is in the position of reverse engineering the technology for military purposes at this time im sure something will filter down given time. Oh i also read this is a little off topic but recently a radar operator in the area of RAF Machinish reported a object doing 3000mph but was 10 MILES long and so many miles wide you work that out.

Hi here's some info regarding RAF Machrihanish,
