This is my problem with the government doing this whole thing behind our backs. I personally don't trust government and I know a lot of others feel the same way. Do we want these CIA types to be the ones acting as ambassadors to an alien presence? Do we want this kind of greed to be what aliens take away from their meeting with us? Instead of trying to be diplomatic we conspire to shoot down their vehicles to steal their secrets?

I am amazed we havn't seen any of these UFO's becoming hostile yet. Perhaps they consider us attacking them as a non-threat and they could stand to lose a couple of guys, especially if the greys are really just surrogates for controllers that live somewhere else, controlling them remotely. It would be like losing the mars rover. It's just a loss of money and effort and not any human lives. They may view this the same way.

Either way, this is why Von Braun was so against space based weaponry. He knows our capacity to SCREW up diplomatic relations by deciding to shoot first and ask questions later.

Stew,

Dude, watch your language. If you keep getting "banned" that is why. It isn't that difficult. We all do it here. Okay? wink

But hey, I agree with you. Our whole way of being, socially speaking, is corrupted by a militant reactionary-ism. Our national structures are violence prone and all based on selfishness and an implicit compulsive desire to gain the advantage over others.

And the worst part about this is that the military types, the people we empower with this "special" secret knowledge, are the biggest knuckle-dragging, gun toting Bubbas on the planet. We send out the toothless idiots as our "welcoming party". The single scariest thing about Corso's book is the recognition that he is a prime example of this mouth-breathing, hillbilly mentality.

He actually convinced himself that we were "at war" with the aliens, and that he was somehow instrumental in "winning" said war. The guy was a moron for the ages. He was a moron that made other morons look like amateurs. Nothing quite says "welcome mat" like sending out the Bubbas with their guns and a kill first, ask questions later, mentality.

I guarantee that if there was an actual war with the green guys, they would have turned our colons inside out and have been wearing them as hats faster than you could say it. All of that hillbilly stuff would have been ancient history in the blink of an eye. And, for this very reason, I think it is safe to say that the aliens have no nefarious plans for the violent overthrow of humanity.

It is all a paranoid human fantasy that has no basis in reality. Sweeet! tongue

Stupid is as stupid does. If that is true then we are truly, spectacularly, over-achieving, inspiration-ally stupid. "Hey green guys, we are humans, and we make a bag of hair look smart!"

I believe we as men and now women wanting to be helping men in battle. We have programmed mankind for centuries. If someone is near your place hate it and get them back as far away from you as possible. If they do not go away make them. And as time goes by lets help others do the same.If we do not like what they do they are nothing and should either be controlled or killed.Makes no differences if it is animal or humans.Just in my generation not really old at all.But started with cowboys against Indians. Cops against robbers . In nether one of these child games was I thought to capture these opposing men .I was taught or thought I should be killing them. Now here we are in the future of my childhood and people not all.But many movies aliens bad humans good .Do not capture aliens kill them.I believe this mentality goes as far back as mankind itself.I know this is a bad topic and I do not mean any dis-respect this is just my stupid human opinion. Even if you go back to a very old book of the bible or Koran or some of the other books at the beginning once there was more then 2 men on the planet one would kill the other one.Even if you do not believe in any of these books at all.The stories were written thousands of years ago.We had no guns no nuclear .Not even anything but rocks. And that was enough to kill someone and we did.How many men including myself watch the movies of Bruce Lee or Rambo and do not get a feeling of bad butt in us.How many of us do not before we are married go and put on some tough guy act one time or another. Why is this.It is like it is in us.Boys do not cry.Stop being a pansy .All these things we would be better off without as a planet. I believe the beings may have never had this gene.Perhaps they put there energy into technology into stopping sicknesses .All working together.Even now countries will work on stopping and fighting cancers but all separated not all together. All our technology is like this.I worked in Infra Red materials at Raytheon Research for 13 years. One lab would be working on Y203 or Zinc Sulfide or Spinel or some other type materials. One process could help another but do to people wanting to do things on there own and have there name on the top of the paper millions wasted .All because one man did not want to ask the other lab I have a problem how do you clear up your material in the H.I.P. It makes no difference about what all this short terms mean I have written here . But it is just to show why we could be so much further then we are today if there was much more cooperation between us and less fighting or less its all about me.

Boney,

This may well be the best and most eloquent post you have ever written, and there have been some spectacular ones!!! I could not agree with you more, and it stuns me that people can project such an enormous state of stupidity, but then it shouldn't... I've been watching it manifest in various ways all of my reasoning adult life. It seems there is no END to the monumental stupidity certain members of the human race (those with, as you so aptly put it, their "knuckle-dragging" mentality!) are capable of. Heaven help us all!

Still (and I almost hate to say it, knowing full well the ridicule it will bring down on my head, by those who think they have the market cornered on truth, wisdom and the American way, haaaaaaaaa! Ask me if I care wink), I remain ever the optimist. It occurs to me that since we do all create the reality we inhabit, I can simply choose a different one from that of the moronic bozos purported to be running the show, and thus step into a future monumentally different from the one they're creating for themselves and those that fall victim to the propaganda they spew grin Shall I save you a front row seat on my bus to a new and bright tomorrow? wink No need... I feel sure you have your OWN bus! wink grin

I think they probably have used Area 51 for some really strange things. I don't know if I really believe they had ufos there but they had or still have weird things there. I doubt they use it much anymore since so many people know about it and research it. I know they use other places and I think a lot of them are underground now.

Actually, Area 51 (now known as the National Classified Test Facility) is still a very busy place. There are around 2,500 military and civilian personnel working on multiple test projects. Facilities and infrastructure have been improved and expanded over the past decade and the entire fleet of Boeing 737 commuter passenger transports was upgraded with new aircraft.

I know we are all bound to have our own opinion and point of view on this subject, but personally I believe while there may be lots going on at Area 51 in terms of military and civilian test vehicles, I do not think it it presently being used as a an alien base or that alien technology is being reverse engineered there as it was believed to be in the past. It's too well known now, and very likely any top secret stuff involving aliens has long since been relocated. Personal opinion only, folks grin

BJ

I don't know what might be going on at area 51, but I agree with Seeker, probably nothing to do with UFOs, and possibly nothing secret at all.

Area 51 is so subject to scrutiny that it is probably only used for subterfuge by military intelligence, the more people they can keep looking there the fewer people looking elsewhere. The stuff that may once have been at area 51 is probably 100 feet beneath an Iowa cornfield or somewhere similar.

That is how magicians work, they get you looking one way whilst doing something out of site.

and what if the magicians were so brilliant as to have us all distracted by the idea that UFOs and ETs come from outer space when in fact they are extra-dimensional beings, from another dimension. It may well be true.

Here is a very frightening take on it all and on area 51 that suggests ETs are not in fact what we think they are, it does fit all too horribly well with Art Bell's frantic caller and suggests that the secrets of area 51 are beyond what we have imagined:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rpUtbCpXv4&feature=related

I have always been skeptical but I do believe ETs must be extra dimensional. The arguments about their abilities to disappear, appear, go faster than the speed of sound without making a sonic boom etc make too much sense.

Hello Tristania

I agree with you about other dimensional beings, but from recent findings it seems that humans have developed ufos long ago, and are abducting people too (copycatting).

Seeker is absolutely correct that Area 51 is NOT "being used as an alien base or that alien technology is being reverse engineered there."

The Groom Lake facility never had any connection to extraterrestrial beings or technology. That was an "urban myth" that unfortunately became an indelible part of popular culture.
