My brother lives on the North shore of rice lake and he has seen ufo's also. I live in Windsor, ON and I have seen 2 triangles identicle to the Belgum craft. I have also been given a gift from a friend who was an experiencer when he was just 12 years old. He is now around 55. He has seen cigar craft most of his life. One day at my house we were having a BBQ and he was out having a smoke on the balcony, so I went out to keep him company. He then points up above our heads and says, "look no wings no tail just sitting there". I look up and WOW a large cigar was hovering above our heads in broad daylight no more than 400 ft up. It was sort of grayish silver and the air around it was distorted much like heat coming off a hot road. He obviously has ties with these beings and they came for a visit. I was blown away and will be ever grateful for the experience. We are NOT alone and never have been. wink

We live 45 minutes east of Peterborough in roule....

Back in August of 2010....I watched an orange ball move across the night sky...the object made know noise..... I was aware of and it was moving slow....

I could not judge it's hight or distance as it passed a line of large trees on the shore of the lake...I did see it
was large and pulsating.....my husband was sleeping on the sofa in front of the television and I woke him to come outside....by the time we returned to the spot it was almost out of our sight....and...he could have only seen it for about 5 seconds.....

What I seen.......large round orange ball that had a rim of yellow all around the outside...it was pulsing....almost like it was breathing.....it was silent and did not move fast.

My husband.....seen the object only seconds....but believe it to be a army chopper or hydro chopper huh??

We are not sure what it was...and...have never seen anything that compares...in size, shape or colour...

If any one has seen something to compare to this could you let me know......

Always watching the night sky..................................

July 2012-End of July around 10:00PM my husband and I had just gotten into bed. It was a really hot night and we had the window open. I saw a bright light just above a tall tree at the end of our driveway that seemed to be just sitting there. I got out of bed and checked thinking it was just a bright star. There was no noise as we live out in the country just before Warsaw Ontario on the First Line of Douro. We are about 20 minutes from Peterborough,Ontario. I got back into bed and just stared at the light for about 5 minutes. Then all of a sudden the light just started moving behind the tree line toward the north about 100 feet from where it was. I jumped out of bed to look out the window and it stayed there another few minutes so I told my husband to come look. He watched for a bit and wasn't sure either what we were seeing and was sceptical it was anything as he didn't see it move. He then got back into bed and then I decided I must be nuts and went to get back in bed too. Just then the light moved real fast straight across the sky towards a conservation area and hovered just above a neighbors home. I got my husband to come with me to our front door and watched just as the light then speed further away. There was a car heading down our street and stopped at the stop sign. The car sat there for a minute so I though maybe the person/persons? saw the light speeding away too. We have no street lights out here either. My husband didn't know what to make of that and I've since purchase heavy curtains for my bedroom window as I didn't sleep at all that night. Don't know what it was and avoid looking out my windows at night now. Wish I could say I was a braver person, but don't like knowing about what I can't explain.

Hello and welcome Beec. That must have been a night for sure. Are you able to estimate the size of that object?

Hi and thanks for the welcome. It was bigger than a bright star. I think about the size of a beach ball from where I was.

Another time about 4 years ago now we were heading to Bridgenorth to get pizza and noticed a light bigger than the one we saw this past summer. We were on the backroads and noticed the light. It was white light with red and orange flashing lights. I don't know what would do that. I thought maybe a weather balloon, but I don't think that it was one. We weren't the only ones that saw this that night. There were quite a few people that saw it. There were also people in their yards looking up as we were going by and my husband stopped and asked them if they knew what it was and they said no clue. They didn't think it was a weather balloon either. We watched it all the way into Bridgenorth and then on the way home from the pizza place and noticed it moving upward slowly and then it was gone. If I had to judge the distance away I would say just over Chemong Lake near causeway. We were coming from family's house on Fife's Bay road when this happened, but we didn't see the lights until we were closer to Bridgenorth. There was talk about those lights for a few days afterwards, but no one I talked to believed it was a weather balloon either. It was beginning of summer 2009 I think.

Thanks. And how far away is the tree line?

Of course there's no way for me to tell since I wasn't there but after watching many (actually too many) UFO-vids it seems to me that if an object has blinking lights that it could be nav-lights which would suggest either a plane or helicopter.

Your account matches several other reports of glowing lights around the area. It seems to be a common trend, as well as the triangular craft (these especially in the vicinity of the General Electric factory in Peterborough) .

I was fortunate to see a chinese lantern flying very close to me for the first time a few weeks ago, which traveled higher up and farther away after a few minutes. From a far, I could plainly see why people mistake these for actual craft; it was pretty cool to be honest. One more way of ruling out strange lights in the sky with a real life comparison. It was an eerie orange glow just under the clouds, and if I didn't know any better, I would have thought it was a craft of some kind.

Though I do agree with philliman's statement, that flashing lights usually indicate man made craft, you do have to factor in the pattern of the lights, the colour is key as well. Random patterns, very fast or heavy pulsing lights are not normal aircraft activity, but one must always be open to the idea that it is man made.

I do know for certain, both Warsaw-Buckhorn-Bobcageon area and Biridgenorth, are areas where multiple sightings have occurred. Some of these I believe to be very legitimate experiences, and have had the chance to talk to a few of these people.

For the future, if you have another sighting ask yourself these questions: Do I hear any noise coming from the direction of this?
What else could cause this light source? What is its flight pattern similar too (comparison to helicopters, planes, satellites etc.) or does it move more like a dragon fly or a butterfly, floating and bobbing yet moving rapidly and efficiently? Does it leave a light trail, like a tail effect? How is your general state of mind at the present moment, while viewing this object? Do you feel aware and awake? Or do you feel in awe, stunned, or entranced? Are there any more in the area of view (focus tends to be fixed on the initial object)?
Try to determine an answer for what it could be. You may find that you can't, and that is the coolest part of all. To accept the fact you have seen something you can not explain, without a doubt, can do wonders in conquering your fear of the unknown, especially in cases like these.

I encourage you to do some digging on local sightings, if anything, you will find you are not alone in these experiences.

I thought that the lights we saw going to and coming from Bridgenorth might belong to a helicopter or something. There was no noise this night that we could hear either. Some neighbors of my brothers around Chemong Lake in the Fife's Bay area said they had saw unexplained lights and I was hoping that they would tell me it was maybe just a weather balloon or something. I'm not good at digging for info so will just have to wait to find out if anyone can explain it to me. I know I was definitely awake and alert both times, but a little on the scared side with the incident at home here as we are out in the country with neighbors far apart and fields and trees everywhere. I've only every heard of a farmer out this way seeing a white light a few years back along the Payne Line just before Warsaw in a field. It was close to the ground and shot upwards. I don't know how true it is as I've never met the person and heard it directly from him, but most of the people that retell it seem to be sincere on his behalf.

From the tree line to our house would be about 3 or 4 car lengths away. There was no noise that night either. Just the light.

I'll just keep watching all the posts and maybe someone will shed some light on what I've seen.

If the tree line is that close then I can't imagine that it could have been a helicopter. Even if it's a silent one you still should be abel to hear the "flap flap" it's making.

I live north of Lake Ontario and have been investigating activity in the area for some years. The action has started to pick up again just recently.
I hope to interview one couple this weekend regarding their experiences that appear to be ongoing and will be taking cameras and night vision equipment with me.

Reference URL:

http://fierycelt.tripod.com/xposeufotruth/triangle_reports_so01.html

The map there shows some locations where triangular craft have been noted in the past year or so.

In the historical list on that page is the July 2004 sighting over the GE facility in Peterborough.

The latest report, on 23rd March 2013 was as follows:

"Was awakened by a very strange noise and the bedroom seemed to vibrate. Went to the window in our bedroom on the second floor and noted this huge darkish grey massive object over our homes. It was so strange I wondered what it was. The sky was blacked out but the edges were not. It occupied the space of almost the block of our homes. It was between one am and one thirty in the morning.

There was this strange feeling. You just knew it was there. It hovered so low it scared me and then was gone in seconds. Something so large and yet so fast. The sound was not a rumble but like vibration with a extremely high pitched sound but not a wining noise.

I knew it was a UFO immediately. I wasn't afraid at all in fact I attempted to see markings on the bottom surface of the object and looked at the points and sides. It just ascended and was gone. Not even a noise . It was huge! I didn't want to tell anyone.

It was just right there over us. Amazing. Not my first experience. Wondered why it was here. We live near Lake Ontario and a marshy area. I have seen things out in the lake near here as well

I seen almost the exact same thing back in the 80,s. it was close enough to see the occupants looking out the windows on the side. they looked very military dark gray(or blue) uniforms and a female with a berret I did report to mufon but that was the last I heard it travelled east to west south of the 401 near rougemount the headed south over the nuke plant it was HUGE. but deffenatly man made unless aliens have a rivet gun?

Hello coti:

Are you referring to the 23rd March 2013 report from Whitby?

Which MUFON did you report your experience to? Was that the old/defunct Ontario version called MUFONTARIO?
Was there no response at all?

The diagrams of the 5th July 2004 event over the GE plant in Peterborough show what appears to be rather clunky construction.
http://ufoinfo.com/sightings/canada/040725a.shtml

I was not sure if that was the event to which you were referring.
That Peterborough event certainly had a profound effect upon that person!

Hi Coti, any chance you could upload that copy and the photos you have available to Casebook?
