My dreams are always foreboding.

A common dream for me is that I can not find my classroom in college.

I do not understand, college for me was years ago.

Anyone have happy dreams?

I have happy dreams sometimes! Most are thought driven from past experiences such as playing football and baseball or just fishing.

As for not finding your classroom. Being lost is a common dream. It usually means you have something on your mind and you feel lost trying to find an answer. IE you're searching!

I used to have happy dreams. Then I grew up and learned about the world outside my back yard.

Hey Silver, I dream very varied, which includes some nightmares and yes happy dreams as well. I notice many of my dreams are completely new/original, stuff I've never dreamt of before. And the exact opposite to Skizicks: in my older days my dreams are much happier than when I was young.

Could you try your hand at posting one (nearly) complete, negative/unhappy dream here? It will help me to comment.

I think I dream less now than when I was a child. There is always a variety.

Sex dreams are happy dreams...... smiley I still have them and sometimes even wake the wife. (She doesn't usually appreciate it though.... LOL)

I don’t dream much but maybe that’s down to the fact I only sleep a few hours, last night I dreamt for the first time in a long time and it sure as hell wasn’t a happy one more strange than anything else. The door to the house was open as one of my dogs was out for a pee then he came bolting in with two huge female pumas after him, I was cutting onions at the time and had a large knife in my hand so ran at the pumas and got one as it tried to bite my face off by running my hand right across its inner mouth cutting its jaw muscles. At this point all my six dogs attacked the cats and tore them apart. Now this is the strange part, I looked up and saw this huge Black Panther standing in the yard watching everything, now I have a spear at the outside door so I grabbed it and ran at the panther that just looked at me turned around walked a few steps then just disappeared. Ok this panther is playing on my mind as it has been on a killing spree here for the last few weeks and I am worried about the horses after the last attack as the Shetland ponies wouldn’t stand a chance against it but for some reason this dream seemed to give it some magical property.

Hello hyundi

That is an interesting dream..... I will take a shot at it.... first off you are inside your home.... (your own psyche)... this dream is about you and what is going on inside you.

The black panther is a spiritual messenger and it is probably about Kundalini.

I first started seeing a black panther a few years ago.... I didn't see it in dream though. I laid down to sleep and suddenly there it was, while I was laying with my eyes closed and still fully conscious.

Here is something that may help you..... also look up black panther Animal Totems. Also look up what it means to dream of attacking big cats....

EDIT: Btw I often have happy dreams, and wake my husband up with my laughing.... smiley

Thanks Luvey, as you know I am not into all the psychic stuff but I found your link unnerving as it was too close to home I related to a lot that was in the link and links it led to. It seems I have a lot to learn and understand so baby steps for me.

Hello hyundi

It doesn’t matter whether you are into the psychic stuff or not…. It just happens, then we can either fight against it or flow with it. I chose to flow with it…. We are all a part of nature and nature is a part of us….. Animals come to us in dreams and reality to give us messages. I have been experiencing it for quite a while now. Crows came to me in dream and reality just before I nearly died of Anaphylactic Shock a few years ago. A white owl came to me twice just before one of my brothers had a heart attack. I also had a dream to hang onto him before it happened. I have had lizards, owls, ducks, herons, hawks, black panthers and others come to me…. In dreams and reality… You always know they are imparting a message because they act out of the norm.

As it says in the article:

As the awakening process intensifies, all sorts of archetypal and symbolic material comes up with it. Some of it we receive with an instantaneous "eureka!" of recognition -- we simply know what it means. Other things remain perplexing or barely noticed until we are led to discover their significance.

The signs and symbols that are most significant are the ones that come to us unbidden. Yet for this reason, they are the ones we are most likely to ignore or reject. This is particularly true with some of the bizarre images and mystical episodes that occur to us during spiritual awakening.

With you I see that you went to the top of the class and got a glimpse of the afterlife, then came back to learn the steps on the way up ….. smiley

Its just me Luvey , I have had my lot with this ET stuff and just want a normal life back so another paranormal event I would prefer to avoid but sticking my head in the sand only delays the inevitable so I can but see where this new scenario leads me , looks like another road trips on the cards lol. Question, would all this chanting and drum type beating I hear and can record be connected?

Yes, I believe it would be. I have been hearing different sounds for years... mainly bells chiming and sometimes Tibetan bells.... I have been hearing them for around 30 years now. I have heard other sounds too.... not drum type beating though. One night both my husband and I heard the bells.... so its not just me, although that was a one off.

Hey purr,

I know this is days late, but my most reoccurring dream is that I wake up in college early to give myself plenty of time to get to my classes.

Then as I start out, I can not remember where to go for my classes and this really upsets me.

As I wonder around, I meet strangers who tell me information, but their information is always wrong.

The strangers are usually faceless, and I do not know them.

At the end, I just want to sit down and cry.

I wake up full of anxiety and depression.

Sometimes I am so upset when I wake up, I wonder if I am going to have a hear attack?

Can a dream kill you?

I welcome your thoughts.

Great to hear from you, Silver, I read your reoccurring dream with interest.

Last things first (trying to give my best comment), the dream you describe is not the type that can kill, even though it seems to cause immense stress and painful emotions in you.

I've heard of types of dreams which may kill its experiencer, but they are specially induced from outside. Supposedly this may be done working Black Magic spells designed to take a victim's life. Or in very rare cases by a powerful evil spirit known to regularly haunt the residents of a specific area. Pretty rare, with some stories coming out of South America and Africa, Indonesia. Mmm, folks to whom this is happening usually are dead.

So I'm guessing your dream will not give you a heart attack. It is no fun though.

To the dream itself. Seeing you wake up early so to make it to class in time, to me indicates you are not guilty or negligent in achieving your life's purpose. You did not do wrong, and indeed the list of 'negative' emotions listed in dreamquote does not include guilt.

Seems your dreamsoul is not ACCUSING, but shedding light something important (from soul-perspective) is MISSING in your life.

Again, 'crying', 'anxiety', 'depression' felt powerfully inside your dream/as you wake up, are the emotions of loss and intense grieving.

It may be your soul is pointing to the loss of an important Teacher or Mentor early on in your life.

Of course what is missing and lost in dreamreality is attending school. You can't make it to classes.

I really love simple. Imo the message of your dream simply is that a vital change is required in your life. The hidden purpose of Silver requires it, the fate of you asks for it. Go to school (and in dream logic it is entirely possible you have already begun such a process!). Find a course, any form of education or training containing knowledge which interests you. And study/train hard.

The final bit is not to opt for trusting faceless strangers with wrong information. If my idea sounds about right to you, very carefully search out a place of learning yourself. Your deliberate choice! Nice thing: if you manage to (symbolically) replace a missing part of your life, the unhappy college dreams will end, and new dreams will take their place.

All I can think of now.. I wish you happy dreams.

laugh

Thanks purr,

What a wonderful reply.

I was poor as a child growing up, and my family lived in my mother's mother's (grandmother) house for a good while.

I was about the only one in the family who went to college.

My parents were difficult, and I was always seeking their love and approval.

My parents did not give back love so easy.

I made sure I did not make the same mistakes with my children.

I have had a wonderful adult life, but I feel like I am missing a piece of the puzzle.

I am always seeking and looking for something, but I do not know what it is.

My wife has been my best friend and has kept me calm.

I don't know if they can kill but they can induce some overpowering emotions.
I would guess that one with another problem could get pushed past their load limit.
