I don't know who they are, can you elaborate?

I can take a wild guess what you're getting at.

The drone issue and the analysis is pretty much dead, all the work was already done here and OMF months ago. The current events are SF and the following he has created and LMH and the ignoring that she has done to many emails sent.

The story is actually turned wholly towards Mr. Salad now that he has achieved his goal of proving to many that this can and most likely is a hoax. He has single handedly closed the drone case, and nailed the drone coffin shut.

It's fun to "analyze" the drones, but in the face of the video produced by the one of the ultimate pro-hoaxers around, it is almost impossible to be creative in public anymore.

Why did people get upset about Mr. Salads video but not at droneonline's music?

1. Droneonline made an artistic creation of music (nothing to do with drones) and added that to REAL voices that were part of the interview/investigation process.

2. If Droneonline would have made static electricity sounds in his song people would have been confused and possibly been upset.

3. Mr. Salad went out of his way to create CG that mimics real photos knowing very well that the question of hoax/real is in the mind of many.

4. Mr. Salad mixed real photos with CG further blurring any future investigation, now investigators will be asking what is real and what is CG. I sure as heck do not feel like spending another minute answering newbie FAQs generated by Mr. Salads confusion.

Does nobody see that the video was generated and MOTIVATED by someone who believes that this was a hoax. Read between the lines of the video. Mr. Salad has achieved his goal, many more now believe that it was a hoax, he has worn them down, attacked their reasoning.

Locking this thread or banning people will only alter history even more. I vote to keep it alive and let it all be hashed out in the open.

We see what we want to see, and we hear what we want to hear. That goes for every one of us.

Personally, I think the effects of Saladfingers art projects have been highly over rated. I also happen to think that the video, if anything, presented the drones as a question without offering an answer. As to CGI in general, every UFO report these days that makes it to the Discovery or History Channel has a very realistic CGI re-enactment that goes with it.

As for Linda Moulton Howe - disappointed? Sure I am. Said it plenty of times. But I won't pretend to know for a second what may or may not be going on behind the scenes. We can imagine all we want, but we don't know.

Elaborate? No. I have too much respect for the members here who wish for the grenade tossing to end. However, when an individual continuously posts about only one thing and does so with sarcasm towards another individual, I'd say that persons motives are pretty darn transparent.

Onthefence - you're a very bright individual and I look forward to your insightful posts. Do you enjoy it when someone presents every argument as if theirs is the only right answer and hammers at it until you cry "uncle" and agree with them, otherwise you're a dimwit? I sincerely doubt that you do. No one does! There's never any excuse for bullying.

I'm sorry if you're disappointed in my efforts here - trust me, I didn't ask for this assignment. I inherited it. I have tried my very best, since my first post on Casebook, to remain open and respectful. This is no more or no less than we should each expect from one other.

Mark, I for one think you are doing a great job.

The one bad apple has no audience, however the bad apple has a point, and the bad apple might be right in the end.

I dont approve of the method and the madness of said apple, but I do agree with the fence.

Perhaps the bad/mis-understood apple will re-think it's approach.

Now here is a bit of French humor,if there is such a thing,

"There are always people who take pleasure in parazitizing research (what research?). On UFO casebook, the non salad version, Interocitor, for the 32 message, showed that it (?) was only there to cause and sow confusion with this new montague in the manner of the GREAT LEVIATHAN 66."

In other words like Mr. Salad?

I am once again receiving messages from members upset at the direction that this thread is taking.

There is a huge difference between presenting a viewpoint, and doing so with regard to the intelligence of others, and heavy handedly shoving an opinion in the face of others as if it were the only truth. There is also a difference between using a forum as a place to exchange ideas and using it as a place in which to publicly squabble with another individual.

The individuals involved in this negative behavior know who they are. I would seriously suggest a time out for reflection.

No one has ever stopped anyone from presenting an idea or defending a pet theory when it was presented in a way that respected those same rights for other members.

I might mention that posts like this are very unproductive and certainly off topic. We are staying on topic and have not gone off-topic, well except for that ET, meteorite, hikers thingy, which had ET in it so it's not really off-topic. And, if I recall, there is an understanding with the webmaster that moderators are suppose to take things such as this up with the members in PM and not in open forum.

My posts are not negative. MY posts are funny. If you see them as negative then you need to go out and buy a comic book or watch a good comedian on tv because you've completely lost your sense of humor. rolleyes rolleyes

I clicked back three pages and I cannot find the negative behavior anywhere. What page do I need to go to. I hope you're not talking about DrDil because he's just messing with me because he likes too, just like I like to with him because we're friends, not foe. So what page is this negative behavior on anyway?

I think maybe you're just reading things in a tone not intended by the poster Mark.

Eileen, I don't have the time, energy or interest to play games anymore. My next post will make that quite clear.

Power corrupts, even when power is just a delusion. The original drones are real and Mr. Salad has proved this. This is now beyond doubt thanks to his efforts. If you can not see this, then look closely again. On topic?

To my friends here at Casebook,

Sometimes we have to make tough decisions, and it stinks.

I have a life. A very full life, with all of the stresses and strains that come with it.

Casebook was a place to come and share experiences that are beyond the pale for many, and to explore ideas that would challenge even the brightest of minds. Logging on was something that I looked forward to every day. When I opened my email box in the morning to find - 45, 78, sometimes over 100 - notification replies, my heart raced! Maybe something really exciting had happened overnight! Casebook was my time. My chance to go into a place that was special because, quite frankly, not everyone fit in there.

I've met a lot of great people, some (I hope) lifelong friends, from all over the world. I've seen my share of rude people, bullies, paranoids, and just plain unpleasant people, too. But, they seemed to pass through fairly quickly once it became clear that their behavior wasn't appreciated. Something's changed recently. There's more aggression and less tolerance than there was before. There are more people who "need" to be right, no matter what the cost or disruption to others. It's stopped being enjoyable.

I was recruited to be a Moderator, nominated (as is the process) by existing Moderators. I considered it an honor. I gave it a lot of thought before I agreed, I wanted to be sure that I could do justice to the position.

So folks, it's decision time. This open letter to my friends here, will also serve as my resignation to BJ. I will make it effective Sunday so that someone else can step in. Enough really is enough. This makes me sad. Truly.

There are several members here that are more than qualified to have a go at it, and I'm sure that BJ will make a wise choice. Thank you all for your understanding. To those who continue to be disruptive - please show some consideration for others, and respect for yourself, and find a more constructive way to interact.

I'll still be around, maybe come back in as a member later on. UFO's and ET are a part of my life and have been for a very long time. I look forward to the day when we all have our answers. I hope they're the answers we most want to hear.

In the meantime, my very best to all.

With Great Affection,
MarkM

I believe you’re a man of your word MarkM and this time I wish it wasn’t so.

I for one will be saddened to see you leave.

I do believe you should do what you feel is right and more importantly what makes you happy.

Sincerely DrDil

Actually Mark and honestly, in a big sense you created it. The inheritance came out of the creation.

That's sort of interesting. I quit because of you and you quit because of me. BJ loses and that's about it.
Again, you're reading things into todays posts that aren't really there.

I can say that LMH is a lousy researcher and dropped the ball because she is and she did. Things like that have been said in here multitudes of times ever since early June but nobody said anything to those people.

Same goes for CGI. If I think that Steve Neill is not capable of judging CGI for the real thing then I have the right to say so and the same goes for Marc Antonio if I felt the same but in his case I didn't.

If I think that someone has come into the ufo community with a case of disinformation something greater than Wright-Patterson AFB during Roswell then that's my prerogative and it's been said hundreds of times amongst various forums as well as this one by others but nothing was said to them in the past.

This is why...........

1. They have that right
2. The forum rules do not keep anyone from voicing their opinion.
3. Skeptics are absolutely allowed to make their point and not be kicked out for doing so.

I am a skeptic of sorts because I thoroughly believe that one single individual happens to be no more then a disinformation entity.

But more importantly, and I'll reiterate - you are reading things into posts that aren't really there because from what I've seen in here there are no rules being broken.

I will take my ball and go home. No, because I will always come again. It is my job. Invisibility is very, very useful. The original Drones are as real as this reality allows. Be seeing you in time.

No, actually AC it's not because of you. I don't remember that being part of my post. I hadn't realized that we were enemies.

Whatever, I wish you the best with your new website, a project long over due and a step that I was glad to see you take smiley.

There just comes a point when one has to decide the best use of ones time.
