Ever penetrating the envelope of creation itself our resident artisans of Leviathan return home to the Red Room..exhausted but not undaunted by their long climactic journey unpeeling layer after layer of the great cosmic onion of reality. Certainly their latest creation challenges how we look at the mundane and innocuous , to pause and reflect on the possibilities and veer in new directions from our endless meandering marches of mediocrity.
So stop and contemplate..Time for R&R ..
the wisdom of the ages even..will tell us
All work and no play makes Johnny a dull boy.. grin

A poster TimeTraveler33 had placed some nice visuals of the Tardus room to connect to the Drones. Very nice styling though I could not see the connection, except for the spikes and circle ports on the rings which the Lap rings had..smiley this would be all post 2007.

.The first 1963 Tardus blueprints of Dr Who actually had a better semblance blueprint wise to the LAP, imo .
Many thanx to Wings Of Crystal who caught this and made it part of the stuff thread..so many goodies there I encourage everyone to keep visiting. I consider it one of our crown jewels at UC

I must say, that came out nice .. the Borg really made the drones a household word more than the defense dept..truth be told. over a decade later..even AW can't match the exquisite expression of a concept..by the old craftsmen.

the latter was like watching someone churn butter for several hours on an Amish farm.

We indeed are One.Its a great message..and one that needs to be repeated over and over..in these times that have divided all of us ...

I hope Sean forgives my using his splendid art as an example of that..to bring us together..

http://www.getoffthisplanet.com/gotp_old/html/spf%20gallery.html

As a caveat the website is not for those with short attention spans..many great works going back to the 90's..stellar examples of interactive guis..are posted there ...the main page takes some time to load..
it's open to all but the impatient..perhaps meant for a select few that might be inspired to emulate, improvise, add on..and eventually carry on his concepts.
who knows..our drone may have been influenced by this very art..but just like there is only one drone like ours..there is only one Sean Floyd..SPF33

This is for Marvin if he per chance stumbles on it..he would like to read this

Keen also came out of my childhood entertainment--the series was totally inspired by Warner Bros. cartoons, but most specifically those directed by Chuck Jones. The takes with the eyes, the look of the characters, the bold color choices and crazy devices...all of that was in great service to the master."
