Sysconfig,

Then you need to listen to 'Pheadra' by Tangerine Dream.

GForce,

Yes, it's the right version. Thanks for shortening the link. My original was just how it came out when I Googled the Music.

I have the original Phaedra LP. Must set up my hi-fi and listen to it through a decent set of speakers; Warfedale. naturally.

Now, who was that sophisticated fellow with the Bose headphones ? Lucky *****rd.

Sys,

Actually I rather like the bagpipes. And there is no braver sight than a the Black Watch pipers marching along.

Ay, the swirl o' the kilt and the skirl o' the pipes. Stirs the blood, laddie.

Thank you guys on behalf of my people. The sound of a lone piper stirs nationalism in me. It is a mournful lamentable sound. I can imagine some pour souls listening to that when the Highland Clearances happened. When the English Bastard King wanted more land to breed sheep. Of course the pipes are a versatile instrument and are often the life and soul of a party.

I have four big peavey speakers. The whole street can join in with me if I choose to turn them up. grin

I wish DrDil were here..he tried joining the RAF some time ago as a pilot...but couldn't cut the mustard as he was colorblind..He wanted to see the UFOs for himself he told me, instead they assigned him to work the hangars washing planes, painting them, that sort of thing. Every single time he would wave those flags for guiding the planes on the tarmac it was a heartache..a missed opportunity to see the real deal. Some of his fellow mates would rib him and say they did..and he would be like a puppy..all eyes and ears. He would draw what they told him..after a while..he gave up..completed his tour disillusioned..and turned to organic gardening. When the issue of the Dragonfly drones came up..and the Hangar pix the most famous pictures in ufology..no one could touch him on his knowledge of the tarmac..not to mention experimental craft..having spent almost every waking moment on every kind of layout there was... Just that portion alone began the unraveling of the first layer of many in the Drone..saga. When Nick the desk jockey came out..Dr Dil was there waiting..with Breathtaking results..and he made short work of him with surgical precision.... he had come across dozens of these types in the service....you never know when just a little seemingly insignificant thing you do day in and day out will come in handy to reveal a truth or a fact later ..
In a hypnosis session at a Rendelsham AFB clinic, quite the fad in those days.. I was fortunate enough to be present..He was asked Michael ..what do you really want to be when you grow up? He answered I just want be like Billy Meirs and fly a ufo, almost in a whisper but left the matter in no uncertain terms.. ..and his second choice to play the tuba at the London symphony.
Truth be told I was almost in tears.. cry
Thats how close we were in the ARC and why he was chosen..
He certainly has the green thumb..and grows humongous non GMO dills and squash..and they are the talk of the town the name of which, for national security reasons, I cannot divulge for now
Anyway..thats enough nostalgia..onward and foward..

I love coincidences. If this was a UFO forum, I would think, Eco really meant me, when he said that. wink

in the end it is what it was..
