I'm glad there are provisions for oil paintings.. but in my case it was flattened metal.. with sharp edges..(I taped over to protect fingers..)

You can also submit that way if you had to but not really needed since the days of scanners.. Decent quality ones at least grin
Unless the tin can itself is a work of art then see my previous post.. wink smiley

And..... Hello??

My attempt at finding out if this is the case or not is plainly obvious here by encouraging any creators who may read this thread to stop being stupid, quit their mission and go get a copyright registration.....!

Now that I like. grin

Some paper labels I had to submit but because the print was litho'd on to the tin, I think that is why it was requested in that manner for those items with printed cans not labels. But it was requested that way. Dunno why.. I didn't argue that's for sure.. smiley

I am looking into this for you but I do believe we have the copyright for the Alienware language.

"I do believe?"

Copyright for the Alienware language?

What language? A distinctly dissimilar type of related symbol inspired by the LAP symbols or are you saying they copied them, and now they ain't so sure who owns what and like all good clerks.. he/she is non-committal.

If you want to investigate this, please do, but ask them what submission they have in place for the LAP design they have been using, of which those original symbols originated from..

Let me repeat.again.the second memo disallowed his use..that means know we dont grant permission to use the design..not just the letters..
who do we believe you or her in a normal day of business transactions..You're not marketing are you? how would you know. Are you a marketing specialist too?T
Why have'nt you written..in fact written anyone?
Was it all telephone, the person who hired the PIs, a founding member of the DRT,playing exile?
thats verifiable..Had the chance to end it all really..sending the scans to a group..capable of analyzing..certainly cost was no barrier..you are still paying PIs..
Embarassed at one point to ask anyone important, a question? No thats not Enbarassed..thats consistent with not taken notes and called Cunning..it was never supposed to spill out into the real world..the DRT, Linda, and Levs Blogs, was supposed to control the flow..but it backfired..
I'm the one who coresponded AND supplied you the the price quote from that professor, remember? What did you suggest..give it to a group of students as a project? Are you daft, the case of the century?
Yet here you post voluminously an understatement....on a forum..but not one shred of written work or proof..not a doodle or meandering thought...on a dreamy day..

The second memo disallowed again, Phils use....Now who do we believe ..you or me and Phil and the AW correspondence......you can argue both have crazy ideas..but who was honest and has the paper trail to back them up..what do we have from you Tommy..nothing..absolutely nothing except word games..

Believe you or her? .go back do your homework..you might find doing homework helpful..
But not taking notes, and ignoring intentionally the obvious..you won''t do either..but talk about tin cans..empty ones at that. thats whats left of the case..thats all that that you have left to throw...and its very fitting..
No Tomi you write these people. write Nelson..write Angie..write their attorneys...you should feel comfortable with that dealing day in and day out, bending the old elbows with them , as you claim describe to us..but can't provide a shred of proof..of even that..

Right, I agree with you sys on one point for the first time. I should be the one who annoys the lawyers at AW/Dell... just hope they haven't been aware of this thread... But I will attempt to find out everything I can.

@Tomi or any other expert grin grin out there:

Is it a mere coincidence that internalastronaut.com went suddenly offline OR did the lawyers at AW/Dell issue a 'cease and desist' notice?

Except for the odd user downloaded and/or search engine cached CARET/LAP/DRONE ALPHABET internalastronaut.com images and as some are probably stored on miscellaneous servers and on home PC's, much of that stuff seems to have been recently scrubbed away and associated IA links dead-ended.

Seems pretty coincidental that the NEW AW/DELL computers with the outside/inside CARET/LAP/DRONE ALPHABET designs started their fall introductions and then the IA site goes offline shortly after.

So did Virgil and Partner suddenly NOT pay their HostMonster bills or what?

(Sorry if someone else picked up on this before...)

Scrubbed scrubbed and scrubbed..
Even wayback machine scrubbed.

The only other one I've ever known who has ever been so thorough in doing that is Lev... smiley
(with his blog of course..)

But what do YOU think about this:

Is it a mere coincidence that internalastronaut.com went suddenly offline OR did the lawyers at AW/Dell issue a 'cease and desist' notice?

Did a legal warn-off happen?

I was showing the IA site to someone very close to the time I started talking about copyright here. A week earlier it was up. If I wanted to imagine that they were taking the long view on things with what AW was doing.. then getting out of any crossfire would be the prudent professional thing to do.
Kids and amateurs don't make take such prophylactic action as seriously as IA seemed to...
and it makes me wonder. . . . . .

Have you seen a copyright mark on their LAP designs?
How can they give a cease and desist order to something they are hoping to hang on an alien??
We are coming to grips with this .. give me time.
I'm going to filter everything I do and find out through drdil so I know there will be verification and even better note taking than me wink

Yes I agree Tomi...and although a minor lead, it might be something we ALL can look at here instead of debating copyright/servicemark/trademark legalese...(now I can see why lawyers get their unsavory reputations).

I am 100% interested in this as something dosen't smell right.

The thing to bear in mind here is everything I've said concerns Copyright Law, as opposed to Trademark Law and Patent Law which are different entirely and I know nothing about.

But the big thing to remember with AW..is their exquisitely vulnerable position when it comes to Copyright Law.. You can't get in a worse legal chess position than being a big ticket manufacturer with lots of distributors carrying your line and everyone gets hit with a copyright law suit...
