Nah it can't be him, there's only one edit to the post. Sys's posts have a minimum of 12 edits. cheesy

Does anyone here know where the good DrDil is?

Hasn't posted since the 16th or thereabouts
and some are getting a tad concerned.

I’m right here!! grin

Well, after an unexpected fortnight’s absence, sincerely though, thanks for yours –and others- concern (personally though I’m just pleased someone noticed!! laugh)

Still a humour thread, right?

So I'll contribute with a query:

The powerful LEVgruppe used to post
their popular (perhaps) blog link
under their signature in all past
post up to a couple of days ago.

Now...OOPS...no blog link a'toll!

Where'dgo?

What Mod or Admin-type ordered
the 9 pleasant researchers from
here, there, and everywhere
2 cash out and remove their
external advertisements?

The good Dr. in silencio mode,
perhaps? grin grin

Not guilty, why on earth (pun intended) would I want it removed when the vast majority of it is dedicated to yours truly?! grin laugh

And it’s great to see some of the old-timers posting again even if it is only a fleeting visit wink, whilst I somewhat share their disillusionment hopefully their brief sojourn/s back ‘into the fray’ will become a little more permanent.

Cheers. grin

Dr.Dil, it's my sincere pleasure to read you. As you can well see from the past posts, certain people were taking obscene liberties , to put it mildly, with other posters. Not being a snitch by nature or practice, I will withhold further commentary on the matter. I am happy you have returned, I thought perhaps that cucumber bacteria scare may have given you pause to return. Certainly it affected my friends business in Macclesfield, Cheshire, a cucumber business selling other items of consumption. The culprit, bean sprouts. Personally I think it highly suspect this is alleged to have occurred in in the Saxton area of Germany, an organic farm with very high standards. They found a link in a garbage can, which are veritable breeding grounds for all sorts of bacteria. I am glad it had limited effect here and you returned. I'm only vaguely familiar with this Caret or Carrot thing, and googled the name "sysco, sys_config, sysconfig, system configuration, sys.ini, etc.", and went directly to the site suggested by a poster here. I was more fortunate. I must grudgingly agree with everyone, just what did he see in these random collection of pixels?
I just see pixels, nothing else. Here he labels one Fairy Tale, which I took to mean the Caret/Carat/Carrot episode, is just that, a fairy tale.

I see no recognizable artifact or pattern. This is very peculiar, and can understand some peoples continual frustration with him, poor boy. He was probably exhausted. Looking at too many clouds, no doubt, does that.
Where ever he is, I wish him well. Still, what could he have seen? Just boggles the mind. Peculiar, most peculiar.

Sys should be credited with the discovery of pixelarizational cognitive regression theory i.e., a natural extension of the Mandelbrot Set. Of course, at a more advanced level. Some day it will get the acceptance it deserves.
It was vital in exposing the hidden messages of the Caret documents and drone images. Nothing will ever compare to the study of the patterns in the punch hole borders of the PACL report. It indirectly led the way to revealing the individual responsible for one of the drone photo series as evident in the image below.

Now here’s something interesting. I was watching the Yankee Cleveland game today on the tube. Around the 8th inning or so there was a shot of the Yankee dugout. The right arm of a player was visible and I swore it was tattooed with several of the Isaac fonts! The one that jumped out at me was the symbol that looks like a 7 with the = through it. I was in shock. I don’t know who the player was but if we can identify him it may help solve the drone saga.

We need to stay focused in this quest and not allow ourselves to be distracted. That is what those who want this to die out quietly want.

Hi Aggie & it's good to read you as well!! grin

Whilst I feel like I’m preaching to the choir (as it were wink) you asked so nicely that I feel compelled to at least briefly indulge you.

My opinions on what Sys found is that as the images used were not only mainly lossy formats but due to real-world and digital imagery restrictions there is no possible way that the massively zoomed images he posted could have revealed any details whatsoever let alone the level of detail that was suggested (purposefully embedded or otherwise) and perhaps the (why do you think they call it a) Dopefish being his finest hour:

Well, I always found it amusing but generally I always thought it was apophenia, or more precisely pareidolia as basically we’re (i.e. humans) not hard-wired to perceive/recognise true randomness.

But however you qualify it (I always liked Shermer’s 'patternicity', i.e. the tendency to find meaningful patterns in meaningless noise) I’ve always thought it boiled down to the beholders “reality tunnel” which is tailored to our personal experiences, thoughts and belief-systems.

I too sincerely hope he’s doing well…..

Cheers. smiley

Doc, I'm glad to see you're back! I started to think the rumors that you had been abducted by reptilian aliens were true. Honestly I'm a little bummed out that you weren't. I thought maybe if you had been you'd have some insight if they really ate humans. Now its back to the drawing board! Thanks for nothing!!!! grin

This Just In department:

One of our mathematicians has just informed me via electronic mail that the analysis of Aggie's posts is complete. There is a lot of techno lingo in there about weighted cumulonimbus sum-things or others, and the guy's own writing style is quirky enough to cause a rational person to wonder why our Research Coordinator assigned such a project to him in the first place, but what I was able to boil his message down to was that Aggie is not Sysco but rather Mrs. Plimpkin.

For What It's Worth department:

This same mathematician (who, for some reason, drives to work in an ancient Hillman that has been converted to run on truckstop gravy, which he gets wholesale from his uncle) told me last year that the Mets were sure to win the Superbowl. I never know when to take the guy seriously. I know he is telling the truth about the car because nothing else smells like burnt truckstop gravy.

Good To See Ya Back department:

Hey DrDil! Glad you were not really abducted, at least that you can recall. shocked

Hey it's Mur! Pull up a chair, Mur. Good to see you. Shads stopped by the other day and we had a few beers. He says to tell ya hey. Did you happen to see Tomi on your way in? Well get a load of what she's wearing, but try not to stare. She says it's for Sys, or because of Sys, or something like that. I dunno, Man, if I was Sys I wouldn't know whether to be scared fartless or what.
