Marvin...Indeed...Closer than most can imagine! shocked

I like cats, they are intelligent, furry, affectionate and horrendously independent.

However, this is my dog she is very smart, loyal, strong, and protective. She also is part Wolf.

Thanks sys grin

I am in the process of installing an OSD (on-screen display) system in a drone. In the drone all this wiring seen in the beginning of the video will be neatly sorted. The OSD provides a lot of valuable information. FPV (first-person video) provides a video of what the drone sees. The OSD provides information on top of the FPV video.

With this combination of information I can fly the drone out of sight and bring it back just by watching the information on the monitor. On the right of the screen altitude in feet is displayed, on the left, speed of the drone in miles per hour is displayed.

Other information includes the number of satellites it sees for GPS, top right. Bottom right shows the in-flight time and signal strength from the transmitter. Bottom left shows current draw and battery voltage. Center shows the direction of the drone.

Even without this information the drone has three different methods to return to home.

Home is initially set before the drone takes off and requires the reception of at least seven GPS satellites. If transmitter signal is lost it will automatically go into RTH (return to home) mode. A switch on the transmitter will also put it in RTH. Another switch on the transmitter will bring it home no matter where it is but reception is required in this mode.

Even with FPV itís easy to lose orientation so itís important to fly high enough to avoid trees. When the drone locates its home at altitude it will land automatically on RTH or manually.
