Hi Zig and welcome. So TT, how do I expend my consciousness to increase my awareness? What studies do you recommend?

I don't want to answer for somebody else.
My answer is through meditation.

HJ,

The easiest way to expand your consciousness is to become a skeptic. Not a negative skeptic, but a person who questions all things, including their own beliefs and assumptions. By assuming that we do not "know" everything, we allow our thinking to expand to new ideas.

People who hold strong beliefs fail to question those beliefs and thus have closed minds. The things they believe close their mind to the possibility of new knowledge and understandings. Essentially, belief curtails inquiry. It kills curiosity and our ability to learn.

If you read my posting, third one down on page one:

http://ufocasebook.conforums.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&num=1211269521

Under the heading Science, Skepticism and Belief I explain how beliefs limit our thinking and the exercise of TRUE skepticism (keeping an open mind) can expand our ability to appreciate a broader range of ideas.

I hope this helps! grin

The best way to raise your consciousness is to mentally move your mind above the level of the "herd mentality" and question
all accepted beliefs and concepts. If they don't make sense to you, then open your mind to your Angels and let them give you the higher awareness and consciousness.

Thank you. I'm very sceptical of just about everything though. This includes the UFO, psychic......actually of anything I can't prove to myself. I see both sides of the arguments though and find myself on one or the other side on a regular basis. Meditation may be what I should try.

Could try some psychedelics. If your worried about breaking the law, there are several legal herbs.. Such as Salvia Divinorum, your local "pot shop" likely carries some.

P.S. Salvia is very intense and not exactly for the "fun", like mushrooms or lsd can be. I have learned from experience it is more about viewing things in a very, very different, open conscious, not about fun.

Salvia is also sold on ebay for pretty cheap.. You want the extracts, and a good, very hot butane lighter.

Jake,
A lot of the people I went to school with, used those "for fun" things you mentioned. And they ended up messing up their minds, those weren't for fun at all. They didn't really expand their consciousnesses. How could anyone recommend something even worse?

Ah funny how you have a open mind to look at the evidence for ufos in this forum, but not a open mind to view that substances with no addictive or direct harm on the body (alot of psychedelics) are evil. They were legal and sold in the U.S. until too many people used them which seemed to spark movement against the government's policys.

I agree, people who cannot handle or control themselves should not take psychedelics, but I was assuming this person would know whether or not he could, and not jump out and buy them because someone on the internet said so, it was a suggestion. I assume you never tried psychedelics, but it does seem to open your mind to a different consciousness. Infact, it heightens many things, including all of the 5 senses. We call psilocybe mushrooms a "drug" because they have a different use on the body than other mushrooms, but when god or whatever created everything, don't you think that was on purpose? The world is filled with natural "drugs", and for someone who is on this forum, its funny that you jump to what your government tells you. Do some research first before you try to tell me that everyone who does psychedelics "messes up their minds." It is extremely rare, as mushrooms and lsd have a tolerance, where you cannot do them for about 4 days apart.

Responsible people CAN and DO use these substances for good. If you are a junkie and want to get high every 4th day off them, that is your choice and your problem. They can be very useful in moderation.

Salvia is "even worse?" explain please.

You said it was much more intense than the two "for fun" substances you mentioned. If most peoples' psyches can't handle them, more intense becomes worse.

Those two for-funs didn't become illegal because some politician was feeling bored one day. It's because they cause too many casualties, and the person about to become a casualty is usually the one least able to realize they're at risk.

Read my first post, where do I say Salvia is more intense than LSD and Mushrooms? I imagion it possibly could be if you take enough of some very strong extract, however Salvia trips last about 10-30 minutes. (Peak)

There have been NO casualties from LSD or mushrooms. No overdoses, (I will admit there is one case that MAY have been because of a extremely unbelievably high dose of LSD which was mistaken as speed, but that is not proven) of course, there have been STUPID people, who do stupid things while they are under the influence, but that happens with alcohol as well. So don't tell me that is why it was made illegal, I'm sure that is what they told us. How can you make a mushroom that can grow on your front lawn illegal anyway?

Anyways... I'm not even going to look at your next post, you are very missguided, and this is not the forum for this kind of debate. It was a suggestion, I suggested a legal substance. Last post on this topic, no matter your response, unless you want to PM me some good proof to back your claims, (No government propaganda please - its easy to tell).

Thank you!

I think the only addiction that I would seek is understanding and to try to do good works in the time I have left in this incarnation. Remember the stories of persons who took LSD and who thought that they could fly and they jumped off roofs to their deaths? I tried smoking marijuana one time and this lowered my consciousness level. I do not need artificial drugs or chemicals to raise my consciousness level.

Hi hjdelight,

Why not try "Autobiography of a YOGI" by Paramhansa Yogananda. You'll definitely need an open mind for this one. If you do decide to buy then I would highly recommend tracking down a copy of the Original Unaltered Edition.

I don't think it is a matter of the human race fixing its problems. History has proven already that the human race is suicidal. Were it not for the intervention of Angels and UFOs this planet would have been destroyed several times in the past. The more we advance in technology, the more dangerous we become with the possibility of genocide and the obliteration of the human race. I'm so happy that our technology is so primitive compared to UFOs that they can control and monitor and safeguard our weapons of mass destruction. Don't forget that we are part of the solar system and connected to the universe, therefore, the Angels and the UFOs have a vested interest in protecting us from self-destruction.

I have no faith in the human race. I put my faith in Angels and UFOs.

I don't feel we are born with the explicit instinct to hurt or kill. When you were very young did you feel like going around hurting or killing people? A killer is not born a killer in my opinion.
We choose violence over peace now because prosperity is not shared equally among us all. Because energy is only in the hands of the few. Just think for a minute about what the world would be like if we ALL had access to free unlimited energy to do as we please. Remember energy is everything you see, hear, touch, taste and smell around you. And it should be said it is everything that we cannot see or sense as well.

Technology is dictated by how you view the world around you, and this in turn ultimately determines what is possible and what is not. As long as science continues to believe that in order to create you must first destroy we will never taste true freedom and therefore continue to live in a violent world.
