They acknowledge the time span, but I don't know if they will explain the restart of the X files, a crashed saucer might have something to do with it?

The first hour of the X-Files seemed "force" and "uneven".

Maybe the next 5 hours will settle down.

The idea of humans using alien technology against other humans, and the E.T.'s take the blame is an interesting idea.

It was boring. I thought Carter would come out swinging but it was very low key. I hope it gets better.
btw...that's pretty much the same plot that always ran through the old one.

I was expecting more, maybe tonight’s episode will tighten it up. I just hope this doesn’t end up being Mulder and Scully looking for the elite cabal using alien technology to conquer the world. Seems a little far-fetched that we could’ve reversed engineered alien technology so long ago when the materials to create such a vehicle were probably not even invented yet.

The X-Files were trying to make Gillian Anderson to take much less money than David Duchovny.

She made them pay before she said yes to the x-Files reboot.

This is a unequal pay issue for women.

Sad to hear that and yet Hollywood is supposed to be so liberal but yet so hypocritical. Hopefully the season will be successful. Second episode was typical X files which I enjoyed.

In this series aliens are a given and the only question (to me) is how we interact with them, other than reverse engineering their technology?

13.5 million people still want to believe and watched the X-Files.

This number is said to be be a B+.

Fox TV claims X-Files is a hit, and they are thinking about negotiating beyond the first 6 hours.

I would rate the first two episodes about a 7 on a scale 1 to 10.

But hey, it is like eating ice cream. You may not like the flavor, but it still tastes refreshing.

Season finale tonight. So far I’ve enjoyed the X-Files. More humor if you watch Mulder on his mushroom trip. He certainly is talented but I don’t think he actually did the backflip.

I'll be watching tonight but I have been disappointed in the quality of the writing and the acting. No where near as good as the original.
