DARPA to Begin Testing Satellite-Launching Fighter Jet This Year

by Mike Wall, Space.com Senior Writer | February 10, 2015

The United States military's ambitious plan to launch satellites from the belly of a fighter jet should get its first in-air test later this year.

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) aims to begin the flight-test phase of its Airborne Launch Assist Space Access program, or ALASA, with a demonstration run in late 2015. If all goes according to plan, a series of 12 orbital flights would then commence in early 2016 and wrap up by the middle of the year, DARPA officials said.

"The plan right now is, we have 12 [orbital] launches. The first three are fundamentally engineering checkout payloads," Bradford Tousley, director of DARPA’s Tactical Technology Office, said Feb. 5 during a presentation at the Federal Aviation Administration's Commercial Space Transportation Conference in Washington, D.C. "The other nine will be various scientific and research development payloads that we're after."

The ALASA military space project consists of an F-15 fighter jet carrying an expendable launch vehicle underneath it. Once the F-15 gets up to a sufficient altitude, the rocket releases and ignites, carrying its payload to orbit. The F-15 would then return to Earth for a runway landing, after which it would be prepped for another mission.

The current plan calls for flights to originate out of Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, with launches occurring over the Atlantic Ocean, Tousley said.

The goal of the ALASA program is to make launching small payloads much cheaper and more efficient. Indeed, DARPA wants the system to eventually launch 100-lb. (45 kilograms) satellites for less than $1 million each, and to be able to do so on less than 24 hours' notice.

HEY SYS, Z, SWAMPRAT & ALL OF OUR UFOCASEBOOKERS cheesy

USA Today

Alexa N. D'Angelo, The Arizona Republic
10:55 p.m. EST February 18, 2015

PHOENIX — The government's massive coverup of the existence of extraterrestrial life can be vexing to believers, but once a year dozens have the opportunity to gather near a Phoenix-area resort where they can discuss the "cosmic Watergate" in peace.

That time arrived with little fanfare Wednesday morning with the opening of the International UFO Congress and, as always, an opportunity for believers to meet with a hypnotherapist to recount their experiences of alien abduction and rehabilitation.

"It gives people the opportunity to talk about their abduction experiences without fear of ridicule," said hypnotherapist Yvonne Smith.

There will be no ridicule at the We-Ko-Pa Resort near Fort McDowell Casino, said Alejandro Rojas, one of the event organizers, because the International UFO Congress is dedicated to disseminating information about UFO mythology.

The International UFO Congress was established in 1991 and held annual conferences in Laughlin, Nev., until 2011 when it moved to the Phoenix area, Rojas said. The event continues to feature speakers, panels and Smith's popular therapy sessions where survivors can talk openly about their alien encounters.

Smith said many of the people she speaks with have symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and are traumatized from the event they experienced.

"Most often people just want to know what happened to them," Smith said. "They ask if they are crazy or if it was all a dream."

Jeanne Madden, an attendant of the conference, said she was visited by an "entity" multiple times since 1995.

"It's happened about 15 to 20 times," Madden said. "In 1995, I was taken from my bedroom at night. I remember being on tables and seeing a tractor-beam light at the foot of my bed."

"I like to think they were helping me on some level," Madden said, "I believe I have an implant. They shoved an instrument up my nose and stapled something in my head."

Madden said she was frightened after she was first visited because it was "beyond reality," but said that an event such as the conference would have helped her.

"It would've helped having something like this to listen to other people who have similar stories to know you aren't crazy,"Madden said.

Everyone told Travis Walton he was crazy after he said he was taken from a wooded area in northern Arizona and held for five days by alien life forms.

"I was hit by a blast of energy," said Walton, author of Fire in the Sky and The Walton Experience.

"I remember being on board the craft and in pain, I didn't know where I was," Walton said. "I saw creatures and flipped out ... In hindsight, I realize they were trying to revive me."

Walton described the creatures as being hairless, big-eyed and less than 4 feet tall. Statues fitting this exact description were littered about the conference.

Those sorts of descriptions are common, as are the government's efforts to cover up the existence of extraterrestrial beings said Stanton Friedman, a nuclear physicist who was selling copies of his books detailing the government's plot.

"Secrets are kept by security clearance and need-to-know basis," Friedman said.

Friedman, 80, said he has been giving lectures and writing books for years because he said the inaccuracies in Project Blue Book, a study by the United States Air Force about UFOs, enraged him and from there he found an interest and a passion for the subject.

Project Blue Book, which was declassified last month, did nothing to quell true believers' convictions at the event on Wednesday as they traipsed through a room full of booths with books detailing the stories of those who had been abducted by aliens and listened intently to speakers.

Derrel Sims recounted his experience with aliens at the conference and said that he, like Walton, saw small creatures with big, black eyes.

Sims, a private investigator, was at a vendor booth filled with paraphernalia of extraterrestrial items that had been removed from people on different occasions.

Sims, a self-described "former CIA employee," said his purpose is to find physical evidence of alleged human and alien contact after he and his son were both visited by "entities."

"I remember seeing a pure white body in my room," Sims said. "It was skinny and spindly. I thought he was going to bump into the wall and he heard me thinking that because he turned around and looked at me."

Sims said his crusade for finding proof truly began when his son was visited when he was 6 years old.

"I was within 18 inches of one once," Sims said. "I am looking for DNA evidence."

Sims said he has encountered various people with credible stories and physical proof, including three NASA employees and a district attorney.

Sims said the district attorney was abducted with his wife at 11:29 p.m. and has three hours of time he cannot account for.

Sims then pulled up a watch he said was the district attorney's at the time of the abduction and showed that the time was frozen on 11:29 p.m..

The watch was also melted from the inside, Sims said.

Sims will be a speaker Thursday at the event where he said he will tell stories and show his evidence.

The International UFO Congress lasts through Sunday and has different panels, speakers and films each day.

A Time Machine in the Mojave Desert

A four-story structure designed to recharge cell structure is now a recording studio and tourist attraction.

The sign said, “Dedicated to Research in Life Extension.” George Van Tassel, an aviator and UFOlogist, put it outside a structure he described as "a time machine for basic research on rejuvenation, anti-gravity, and time travel” in the Mojave Desert in the early 1950s.

In fact, the story of George Van Tassel’s Integratron, as the machine is known, is so outlandish, so otherworldly, and so enchanting—encompassing UFOs, electromagnetism, Nikola Tesla, Howard Hughes, Moses, and an alleged German spy—that it’s little wonder the site continues to attract tourists, artists, reporters, drifters, and spiritual pilgrims more than 60 years after Van Tassel began to build what would become his life’s work.

The white wood-domed structure sits four stories high and 55 feet in diameter, just off Twentynine Palms Highway in Landers, California, about an hour north of Palm Springs. According to Van Tassel, the site was determined by its relationship to the Great Pyramids in Gaza as well as its proximity to magnetic vortices. It is a 16-sided metal-free building constructed using a technique called joinery—no nails or screws were used in an attempt to avoid interference with the conductive properties of the machine. Inside, the acoustically perfect sanctuary made of Douglas fir rises three stories high and features sweeping views of the desert from its 16 small windows. The Integratron remains open to visitors today, although it’s no longer outfitted for the purpose of time travel—the machinery is, mysteriously, long gone.

The story of Van Tassel’s time-travel dome begins under a rock—yes, an actual rock—where he lived. It was here, a few miles from Landers, that the inventor established an airport which he ran for 29 years on land leased from the U.S. government. It’s also where he incorporated a science philosophy organization called The Ministry of Universal Wisdom, one of many UFO cults that sprouted up in California shortly after the 1947 Roswell incident that brought UFO culture into the mainstream.

The most infamous of these groups is probably Heaven’s Gate—whose members committed suicide in order to ascend to a spaceship following the Hale-Bopp comet—but there’s also Scientology (founded in 1952), the Universal Articulate Interdimensional Understanding of Science (1954), and the Aetherius Society (1955). The organizations held in common the belief that communication with extraterrestrials was possible and that by channeling their messages (many aliens, believers said, were concerned with the earthlings' attempts to develop a hydrogen bomb) the contactee could ultimately help save mankind. “The UFO culture of the 1950s arose after the end of WWII, and rockets, nuclear weapons, and new aircraft were being designed and built based on war effort innovation,” notes Bernard Bates, a professor of astronomy at the University of Puget Sound. “People were afraid death could come out of the sky... and they were seeing all sorts of natural and human made phenomena which they didn’t understand.” It was during this era of increasing distrust among Americans of the U.S. government, the beginnings of the Cold War, with the possibility of nuclear weapons looming and the new-age movement in California blossoming, that Van Tassel rose to local, then national prominence as a charming, well-spoken UFO expert. Much of his notoriety was a result of the annual Giant Rock Interplanetary Spacecraft Convention, which he hosted for more than 20 years.

Seven stories high and many thousands of tons, Giant Rock dominates the desert landscape and became a local landmark due to its size. It was underneath the boulder that a German immigrant named Frank Critzer carved out a 400-square-foot house for himself where Van Tassel would visit him occasionally. The story goes that Critzer also installed a radio antennae on top of the rock and came under suspicion by the authorities for being a German spy shortly after WWII. Accounts vary, but a tear gas canister from a botched FBI raid is said to have somehow ignited Critzer’s store of dynamite and blown him to bits. Van Tassel moved in shortly thereafter with his wife. And on August 24, 1953, it was here that Van Tassel received his instructions regarding what would become his “tabernacle”—the Integratron.

Van Tassel liked to say that both he and Moses were compelled to build their tabernacles via instructions from a man that came out of the sky—in Moses’s case it was God, and in Van Tassel’s, an extraterrestrial. Van Tassel writes in his memoir I Rode a Flying Saucer that he awoke one night to find a man standing at the foot of his bed. “Beyond the man, about a hundred yards away, hovered a glittering, glowing spaceship, seemingly about eight feet off the ground.” The man introduced himself in English as Solganda from the planet Venus and invited Van Tassel aboard his ship, where he divulged the schematics of the Integratron. Its construction would become Van Tassel’s focus for the next 25 years.

Scientists May Have Found Proof Of Aliens Creating Life On Earth—Report

By Jaskiran Kaur
February 19 2015 5:15 PM

After examining a mysterious tiny spherical object, scientists are suggesting that alien exists. The scientists further claim that extraterrestrial beings may have sent this circular object to create life on earth.

According to The University of Buckingham, astrobiologist Milton Wainwright and his team of researchers from University of Sheffield and the University of Buckingham Centre for Astrobiology found this “microscopic metal globe” in the stratosphere of Earth. The balloon sent 27 kms in atmosphere to collect the debris from space stumbled upon this metal object.

According to Express UK, the object is made up of titanium and vanadium which ejects liquid, said to be biological in nature. The discovery of an object that is the width of a human hair has prompted multiple theories of the origin of the object. The scientists reportedly believe it is an alien microorganism or a “seed” designed by “intelligent species” to create alien life on Earth.

“One theory is it was sent to Earth by some unknown civilisation in order to continue seeding the planet with life,” Professor Wainwright hypothesizes. The professor notes that this theory comes from a Nobel Prize winner, a molecular biologist Sir Francis Crick and it is called “directed panspermia.” According to Panspermia theory, life can be found throughout the universe as it continues spreading through meteoroids, asteroids and comets.

It was earlier found that the DNA can survive in harshest space conditions. A plasmid that was attached to the exterior of a Texus-49 rocket was sent into space by researchers from Sweden in 2011. When it returned, it was noticed that the DNA was unscathed.

Professor Wainwright is a British microbiologist of the Buckingham Centre for Astrobiology, University of Buckingham. He is the discoverer of “dragon particle” and “ghost particle” that they believe is a proof of alien life in space.

Wainwright suggests that there is a possibility that this metal object may have landed in space from a comet. “For the moment, we are content to say that the life-containing titanium sphere came from space, possibly from a comet." NASA is undertaking similar research by sending a balloon into Earth’s atmosphere. Wainwright is hopeful that the NASA scientists will get similar results as they have.

Professor Wickramasinghe, the supporter of the theory that alien life continues to enter Earth from asteroids and comets, said: “Proving that the Earth is in a constant exchange of matter with the larger cosmos would have implications not only in terms of our identity, but could also give us insight into alien viruses which may be important for our group identity, evolution and survival itself.”
