This Controversial Startup Is Attempting to 'Reverse Death' in Brain-Dead Patients

What could possibly go wrong?

KARLA LANT, FUTURISM

Bioquark is about to begin a begin a trial that will attempt to bring brain-dead patients back to life using stem cells. However, the trial is raising numerous scientific and ethical questions for other experts in the field.

Researchers seem to be setting their sights on increasingly lofty goals when it comes to the human body – from the world's first human head transplant, to fighting ageing, and now reversing death altogether.

Here's a UFO that hung out near Brainerd, Minnesota for a while [VIDEO]

Tuesday, June 6, 2017
by Mike Mullen in News

For those who haven't visited -- do; it's nice! -- Brainerd is perhaps best known recently as the setting for some of the major events in the movie Fargo. And boy oh boy, chief Maggie Gunderson would've had herself a heckova time gettin' her head around this video that showed up on Youtube last week.

The five-minute clip was uploaded by SuspectSky, which claims to feature "the best sightings, analysis, and thought-provoking research" on unidentified flying objects (UFOs). SuspectSky's bio adds it is "Always critical, always vigilant," so, pretty much like your mom.

This particular video is said to have been shot at the Highway 210/371 junction, and cars zoom right on through the shot continuously. That leads to lots of ambient noise, though not enough to drown out the eerie music SuspectSky has piped in to give our UFO video the full effect.

"This single bright object soon becomes several," reads a white script that shows up on the screen. In fact, it does: Two lights, then three, then four. When our videographer/driver's car system announces, "GPS signal lost," the caption reads, "GPS Signal Lost." This is some of that "best analysis" they'd promised.

That GPS signal is one of several plot twists in this UFO sighting. Note when SuspectSky says the triangle shaped pattern in the sky "appears to try to make a diamond." As if the attempt failed. As in, aliens traveled through light years of space to reach earth -- Brainerd, Minnesota, specifically -- and then couldn't figure out how to turn on their headlights.

Do not skip the comments under this video. "they are here...just watching us...," reads one. "They always have been," reads another. "They are doing more than just watching us - I assure you," reads a third. "To me it looks like military flares as when one disappears then another one will appear at a higher level and come down"-- hey, who let that guy in here? That is clearly not the "best" analysis we demand on real UFO videos. Like this one.

I observed a daytime fireball/bolide over Kingman , Az while observing solar/planets. I was about 12 then. It was incredible . It glowed extremely bright as it broke up in several pieces. The trail behind it was huge and stayed visible for about another 10-15 minutes ( or more ). cool

Enjoy the early morning show !

Good for you and thanks for the neat link, Cliff-67! Liked the Jupiter double eclipse sequences the most actually. I can imagine seeing a bolide made an "incredible" impression at 12, enough so to vividly remember today. In my late twenties I was in our backyard, living close to the Hague-Netherlands, with our family dog late one summer evening, looking up and saw a meteorite seemingly streak straight down to where we stood. No way to tell if the downward line of fire marked the passage of something big, volkswagen car size at 10 kilometer elevation, ending in a firy explosion and peaceful dark sky returning. Or that it was a small, fast dimishingl piece of space rock a mere kilometer (or even: 100's of meters directly overhead, that's how it appeared/felt to me at the time!). What made it unforgettable, the wonder of it, was seeing this firy thing coming down towards our home, and blowing up above. Thinking what are the odds (uh... astronomical cheesy), and where did it come from and how long has it's journey been. Mindboggling stuff (and I still can see it as I write this post).

That's awesome Purr. cool

I'm friends with at least one other astronomer who witnessed a daytime bolide.

The one I saw broke up over the Hualapai mountain range. Not sure if it impacted . I was observing sunspots, Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, and Venus. They were in conjunction East of the sun and relatively easy to find with that small 50 mm, even during the day. I just happened to be taking a break from the eyepiece on that hot Arizona summer day.

The total eclipse of 79 was cool from Kingman also. I can't wait to see the next total in August. cool

Woman accused of pulling son’s teeth out with pliers in Walmart bathroom

Aris Folley, AOL.com
Jun 6th 2017

A Utah woman is facing charges of child abuse after allegedly pulling two of her son's teeth out with pliers in a Walmart bathroom.

Police have called the event "child abuse in its purest form."

They told reporters, mother Jeannine Cherilynn Isom entered Walmart on April 2, where she purchased hand sanitizer and needle nose pliers. According to the local authorities, Isom then took her 7-year-old son into the restroom and extracted two of his teeth using the new set of pliers.

"She proceeded to use the needle nose pliers to extract both teeth, both of his upper front teeth in his mouth," American Fork Police Sgt. Cameron Paul told the local ABC4.

The child's older brother and a store employee reported hearing the boy screaming and took him from the bathroom. Documents say his mother didn't use any type of anesthetic."When she proceeded to extract them, they didn't come out in one whole piece. There were multiple pieces," Sgt. Paul continued. "So that illustrates that they were still very attached to this child's mouth,"

Paul said only one of the teeth was loose "and the other was only a little loose."

Isom was charged with a second-degree felony for "intentionally or knowingly inflict serious physical injury upon a child" and one count of child abuse.

THE US REMOVED TWO AIRCRAFT CARRIER OFF THE COAST OF THE DPRK

Two US Navy aircraft carrier left the sea of Japan. On Tuesday, June 6, according to TV channel NHK with reference to the representative of the Pentagon.

https://rusreality.com/2017/06/06/the-us-removed-two-aircraft-carrier-off-the-coast-of-the-dprk/

In the official in the us military announced that the ships of the “Carl Vinson” (USS Carl Vinson) and “Ronald Reagan” (USS Ronald Reagan) went after the three-day exercise, which took place in the area last week. It is known that the “Carl Vinson” is directed to the place of their permanent home in San Diego (California).

However, the Pentagon has said it will continue to monitor the situation on the Korean Peninsula, and stands ready to respond flexibly to changing situations.

HMMM...I'D SAY THE RIGHT MOVE ON THE CHESS BOARD GIVEN...

SEOUL, South Korea -- The further deployment of a controversial U.S. anti-missile battery should be suspended pending an environmental impact assessment that could take more than a year, South Korean President Moon Jae-in's office said Wednesday.

ONE COULD CONCLUDE...THIS WILL BE ONE EXPENSIVE ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT grin

http://www.military.com/daily-news/2017/06/07/south-korean-president-calls-thaad-deployment-to-be-suspended.html

Concerns about the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system are a key issue threatening to put the new South Korean administration at odds with its longstanding U.S. ally.

The presidency stressed it wasn't calling for the withdrawal of two launchers and other equipment already positioned on a designated site in a remote southeastern area.

"But those that have yet to be deployed will have to wait," a senior administration official told reporters, according to the Yonhap news agency.

Air Force cadet creates bulletproof breakthrough

Air Force Academy cadet creates bulletproof substance

Air Force cadet Hayley Weir had an idea that turned out to be a game changer. "It was just the concept of going out there and stopping a bullet with something that we had made in a chemistry lab."

The 21-year-old Weir approached Air Force Academy Assistant Professor Ryan Burke with the idea. He was skeptical.

"I said, 'I'm not really sure this is going to work, the body armor industry is a billion-plus-dollar industry," he noted.

Weir's idea was to combine anti-ballistic fabric with what's known as a shear thickening fluid to create a less heavy material to use in body armor. She demonstrated the principle to Burke by combining water and cornstarch in a container and asking the professor to jam his finger into the paste-like goo.

"I jam my finger right into this bowl, and I almost broke my finger! Hayley's laughing because I've got this finger that I'm shaking and I'm saying, 'You know, that's pretty impressive stuff.'"

Convinced, Ryan worked with Weir for several months in a small lab at the Air Force Adacemy in Colorado Springs. They were helped and advised by Dr. Jeff Owens, Senior Research Chemist at the Air Force Civil Engineer Center at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida.

They tried combining several different ingredients to come up with the exact formula for the shear thickening fluid, and the correct way to layer it with ballistic fibers.

"The pieces are not new," Weir explains, "everything that we've used in there has been researched (before) in some capacity for ballistics protection."

They tested their combinations on the firing range, failing time and again, until one day their quarter-inch thick design repeatedly stopped a round fired from a 9mm handgun.

Weir and Ryan's excitement was tempered by the range safety officer who pulled his .44 Magnum and told them bluntly, "This will fail."

Ryan says, "We loaded it in and it stopped it. And it stopped it a second time, and then a third time."

They realized they had hit on something special, that could potentially lighten the average 26-pound body armor kit worn by servicemen in the field by as much as two thirds.

"This is something that our competition doesn't have right now," Weir explained. "And with this advantage our soldiers, if they wear this body armor, will be able to move faster, run farther, jump higher."

Body armor for the military and first responders may not be the only thing that can be improved by the new fabric. It could possibly be used to reduce or replace the thick metal plates that protect military aircraft, tanks and other vehicles.

"And there's some significant gravity and weight behind that," Ryan said. "And what it could mean for people like my friends who are still active duty in the military, that are going downrange, serving overseas."

A patent for the as yet unnamed design is pending, and if money is ultimately made, the Air Force will share the profits with Weir, Ryan and Owens.

"It doesn't feel like it's that great of an achievement," Weir muses, "just because it's been something that we've enjoyed doing."

The Air Force believes it is definitely a great achievement. They are providing the newly graduated 2d Lt Weir with a full-ride scholarship to Clemson University, where she will earn her Master of Materials Science and Engineering, before returning to the Air Force to continue her work.

Agreed, Swamprat, amazing story of discovery and... one step closer to a personal force field...
