Discovering Bigfoot: anticipating a frightful Netflix documentary
Prepare to feel real fear in Discovering Bigfoot, the new documentary coming to Netflix in December...
by Rob Leane 13 December 2017
An intriguing new documentary is coming to Netflix UK in the middle of December: Discovering Bigfoot, which chronicles a three-day expedition into the heart of Sasquatch Country. The film uses scientific and systematic methods in a bid to confirm the existence of the American folklore icon, Bigfoot.
Here’s our primer on everything you need to know about the movie, and the Sasquatch species...
Since this is a British website, it seems sensible to kick this article of with a quick paragraph or two about what Bigfoot actually is. Also known as Sasquatch, this creature is a huge part of American folklore. It is a giant, simian-like creature that allegedly inhabits the forests of the Pacific Northwest.
Today, scientists led by Stephen Hawking are using high-tech scanners to discover if a huge, cigar-shaped 'comet' is in fact, an alien probe.
Now, one astronomer claims that the space rock, named Oumuamua, could be an alien spacecraft with broken engines that is tumbling through our solar system.
Dr Jason Wright from Penn State University suggests that a broken alien spacecraft move in exactly the same way as the interstellar comet.
Oumuamua is about a quarter of a mile long, 260ft wide and currently travelling at 196,000mph.
Rather than moving through space like other space rocks, astronomers believe that it is 'tumbling' through our solar system.
Writing in his blog, Dr Wright, an associate professor of astronomy and astrophysics at Penn State University, says: 'Such derelict craft would, if they are not travelling so fast that they escape the Galaxy, eventually 'thermalize' with the stars and end up drifting around like any other interstellar comet or asteroid.
'In fact, since they (presumably) no longer have attitude control, one would expect that they would eventually begin to tumble, and if they are very rigid that tumbling might distinguish them from ordinary interstellar asteroids… and in fact, just because their propulsion is broken doesn't mean that their radio transmitters would be broken.'
Oumuamua is a Hawaiian term meaning 'a messenger from afar arriving first'.
Most intriguingly, it is the wrong shape for an asteroid — they are typically round.
Another oddity is that Oumuamua is flying very 'cleanly', without emitting the usual cloud of space dust that astronomers observe around asteroids.
Experts say this suggests it is made of something dense: probably rock, but possibly metal.
Analysts also say its faintly red colour indicates it has been subjected to interstellar cosmic radiation which is harsher than we experience in our solar system.
The fact that it doesn't seem to have engines or show signs of propulsion may wreck the interplanetary-spacecraft theory.
If a radio signal does come back from the object, Professor Avi Loeb, Professor of Astronomy at Harvard University, suggests that we will need to proceed with caution.
Speaking to MailOnline, he said: 'My recommendation, as in any dialogue, is that we first listen and do our best to understand what we are hearing.
'Once we figure this out, we can decide how to respond.
'Overall, I am an optimist. I believe that a very intelligent civilisation will be peaceful, and we could save ourselves millions or billions of years by learning from it.
'But there is also the possibility that such a civilisation will have hostile intentions and risk our existence, so we should deliberate carefully in any future contact with them.'

UNDER ATTACK? UFO 'filmed firing laser at International Space Station' in NASA footage
THE International Space Station (ISS) may have come under attack by hostile aliens in a UFO with laser blasters, a conspiracy theorist has suggested.
By Jon Austin PUBLISHED: 19:04, Wed, Dec 13, 2017
NASA footage from the ISS live cam yesterday shows a strange object opposite the space station, that appears to emit a red beam at intervals, according to YouTuber Streetcap1.
He posted the clip to his YouTube channel which regularly puts forward alleged evidence of aliens and UFOs.
In his video entitled 'UFO Fires Red Beam at the ISS?', he said: "These lights appeared next to the space station. "I checked the pre-archive footage and they don't appear on any other footage as far as I can see "Look at the red light coming from them and going to the space station… its pretty strange."
The object itself that he thought might be a UFO appeared to resemble many other alleged ISS sightings that have been previously debunked as lens flares from the camera or reflections of the ISS itself.
The ISS also did not appear to sustain any damage in the clip.

UFO author Stanley Romanek sentenced to 2 years to halfway house for child pornography possession
by Saja Hindi, firstname.lastname@example.org Published 3:43 p.m. MT Dec. 14, 2017
Witnesses and defense attorneys painted two starkly different pictures of the same man at Thursday's sentencing hearing for Stanley Tiger Romanek.
Four months after his conviction for possession of child pornography, Romanek was sentenced to two years in Larimer County community corrections, a halfway house program for criminal offenders.
Friends and family of the 55-year-old Loveland UFO author who says he is an alien abductee spoke of a man who was selfless and caring and would not hurt anyone. Prosecutors described the lengths of deception and denial he took to avoid a guilty verdict and blame anyone but himself.
A 12-member jury found Romanek guilty in August for felony possession of child pornography but not distribution, ending a more than three-year-long court case.
In addition to the two years in community corrections, Judge Susan Blanco sentenced Romanek to 10 years probation as a registered sex offender, no contact with any victims and individual sessions for mental health treatment. Romanek was taken into custody immediately following the sentencing. His attorney, Ted McClintock, said Romanek plans to appeal the conviction.
McClintock told the judge Romanek had spent time in the hospital in the previous day and was feeling unwell because of seizures, but Blanco ruled that Romanek was fit to go through with the sentencing hearing.
Defense attorneys called on nine people who spoke to the judge, including Romanek's wife, Lisa, and his sister Ann.
Deputy District Attorney Joshua Ritter said there's no way to sugarcoat the case and the degree of deception used by Romanek and the defense team to to try to place blame on others. He cited their allegations of hacking by a paranormal organization or by the government and explanation that someone else, such as his stepson, placed the pornography on the computer. Ritter alleged much of the evidence presented was doctored.
McClintock argued the no contact order shouldn't apply because Romanek didn't even know the children in the videos found on his computer and has had no prior contact with them, and some of them are probably in their 40s.
The treatments in community corrections that Romanek would be subjected to, McClintock contended, would require him to admit to more things than he is convicted of.
But Blanco was not convinced, saying regardless of whether the victim's names are known or their current ages, every time those images and videos were watched, they were re-victimized.
"Those images are incredibly disturbing, and those are real people," Blanco said.
When Ann Romanek addressed the court, holding back tears, she said her brother had saved her life and her vision and is an "amazing, courageous, astonishing, caring good man."
She said Stanley Romanek had never shown sexually deviant behavior as a child or an adult, which was echoed by all who spoke in his support.
Lisa Romanek said they had been married for 15 years, and he helped raise her three children. Fighting back tears, she spoke about the difficulty of Romanek not being able to meet his grandchildren because of the terms of his bond, and the effects on their marriage.
"Imagine living as a prisoner in your own home ... with your wife as your prison warden," she said.
Others relayed stories about the Romaneks taking them in when they needed a place to stay and how they never worried about their children being around Stanley Romanek. Romanek also spoke and pleaded for leniency, telling the judge he's a "good person."
"All I want to do is help people,"' he said. He added that he couldn't imagine being away from his wife for a moment.
Blanco acknowledged Romanek's and his supporters' statements and said she had no doubt that he had some good in him. But still, considering the materials found on his computer over a period of time, along with the continued denial and deception, "there's a good argument for you to go to prison."
She reminded Romanek that there was no longer a presumption of his innocence. But she said there may be some hope for rehabilitation, and therefore, he would be sentenced to Community Corrections based on recommendations from multiple professionals.

Has anyone been following Fox News (instead of fake news) regarding Hillary/Obama deep state machinations?
Just to simplify, new evidence shows that Obama’s FBI and Justice Department conspired to thwart Trump prior to the election and after.
First was the absolution of the Hillary email scandal where FBI loyalists gave her a free pass along with immunity to others in her congregation. Secondly, after Trump was inaugurated they proceeded on a campaign of disruption (probably hoping for impeachment) claiming collusion with Russia. This is just a short synopsis but the deep state, the FBI, the Justice Department are guilty of collusion to the point where crimes have been committed.
The FBI and the Justice Department are guilty of collusion with the Hillary/Obama congregation.
None of this is being reported on fake news, MSNBC, ABC, CNN etc.
These activities by the Hillary/Obama congregation undermine our system of justice and the country itself. It is likely that more information and evidence will come to light. Hopefully a new prosecutor will reopen these issues and the current Russia collusion investigation which is so riddled with liberal bias will be quickly dissolved.
