Ed,

Looking at that 'saucer' I wondered, as it was unique, why paint numerous seven digit numbers on the side of it.

What a coincidence (WHERE'S ZETAR WHEN YOU NEED HIM?!) that struck me as odd too at my first glance. They look to be in sequence and there may be markings above them. The craft appears welded or soldered together from odds and ends and the numbers are on top of the seams so doubtful they were on the pieces prior.

I don't know if this is the craft mentioned in the story or not. The story says 2 discs rotating in opposite directions and I don't see that happening with this craft shown. That secret workshop don't do much for me either.

I do like these old stories especially when there are images of the claims. Dumb hobby of mine I guess.

For HAL, Ghost , and Cliff....admirable attempts at setting the record straight with facts and truth but as the old Irish proverb states:
'Never try to teach a pig to sing; you'll just waste your time and annoy the pig.'

according to spacepeople and earthpeople who looked into it. for example "Moongate: Suppressed Findings of the U.S. Space Program, The NASA-Military Cover-Up".

from wiki:

Moongate: Suppressed Findings of the U.S. Space Program, The NASA-Military Cover-Up [1] is a 1982 book by American engineer William L. Brian II.[2]

Jonathan Eisen wrote in his 1999 book Suppressed Inventions that Brian asserts in Moongate that the Moon has a weighty atmosphere and gravity, so "a top secret antigravity propulsion system" was required to land on and take off from the Moon.[3]

The book alleges a cover-up by NASA for hiding facts about the Moon's having alien intelligence.[4] Brian asserts that in the 1960s, NASA discovered that the Moon's gravitational field was 64 percent as powerful as the Earth's.[4] He said this is significant because it would mean Newton's law of universal gravitation is incorrect. It would also indicate that the Moon could maintain an atmosphere, allowing for life to exist.[4]

Pos1tron,

If you had quoted the next couple of paragraphs things would have made more sense.

...Reviews

Roger D. Launius and J. D. Hunley of NASA called the book "a sensationalistic exposť". They cited the title of Chapter 10, "Evidence of Extraterrestrial Interference in the Space Program", as suggesting "the highly speculative and tenuous tenor of the book".[5]

Jonathan Vankin and John Whalen wrote in their 2004 book The 80 Greatest Conspiracies of All Time that the book "sketched out a ... planet-shaking, NASA-scamming history of the solar system" and that "Brian's theories echo another wing of aerospace conspiracy conjecture, the insanely sweeping 'Alternative 3' plot".[4]

I think Newton may rest peacefully.

Or, of course, if you can give the names of some current NASA astro physicists who support the above books contentions then we can dig a little deeper.

indeed, gravitational field is not a function of mass, but of charge by which all mass is endowed.

Just to clarify :

f= force
g= gravity
m= mass
d= distance

1= sun
2=earth
3=moon

Have a nice day !

"current NASA astrophysicists don't support it, therefore it is not so". there you go. you solved the puzzle. what a waste of time all of this was, i suppose.

you don't have to name the variables in good sir newton's formula. it is self evident, but once again, since moon has ~60% of earths gravity and only ~1.2% of the earth's mass, gravitational field is clearly not a function of mass but of the revolving electromagnetic field of the planet.
