This is not related to atmosphere , water, and people on the moon...which of course there are none of those things....but it does show that people who support silly notions often use the wrong people for their silly notions and are not very well informed on many aspects of the ufo enigma.
Wendelle Stevens was mentioned above.....this piece/link is about Billy Meier another fringe cult figure just like all the other fringe wackos and contactees already mentioned in this thread but it does talka a little about Stevens who was a pedophile, according to many, and another wacko.
http://www.topsecretwriters.com/2013/12/billy-meier-ufo-cult-lies-manipulation/
(There have been many authors who have commented on him who were involved in the ufo area so it's not just wild hearsay.)

Again....anyone who would use this man and other wacked out contactees to support their ideas needs to reevaluate their position and probably do a reality check on themselves.

I think it may be considered an exercise if psychology.

We are all waiting to see if brother Pos1tron self destructs when he realises he has got it all wrong.

Some people do that when they realise they are in an untenable position.

But we can't be too cruel of big sister will claw our eyes out.

Metaphorically speaking, of course.

By the way Pos1tron, your current thing is rather like Prof Kaku response to the subject of nothingness in space. He said ' it all depends on how you define 'nothing'.

Claw, INT21? Truth be told, actually I'm reading the posts (including this one) and loving this thread, though not all of its contributions I'm afraid.

To share my concerns: I see some tendencies toward flaming reemerge, emotions getting overheated, had to delete profanity again. I'm not feeling much patience, because we've been here before.

May I remind the esteemed participating members, especially in light of all of them happening to be intelligent responsible adults in this instant, and I'm emphatically including threadhost, of the imperative to avoid flaming/personal attacks and strive for keeping the debate civil. PULLEAZE don't try to adopt the victim role, or (most worrying of all) aim flames at any fellowmember's family.

Site rules will be enforced.

I don't see how you missed this POS

And then it was Gone!

On three consecutive nights, Mr. Nelson said, he saw what he called “billions of lights.” The lights appeared to be 50 to 100 miles north of the farmhouse and were clearly seen from the road near his house. Mr. Hill said he and Mr. Nelson and Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Henn of Willow Springs saw the lights. Mr. and Mrs. Henn told the same story, but they thought it happened in April. The lights were stationary, Mr. Henn said, and they appeared to be about the same size as a fluorescent street light. But there is no highway or town in the area where they appeared, he noted.
I promised you a twist to the “billions lights” story. Well, in addition to the lights, Buck told the tale about going out of town one weekend and coming back to find a tree that had been in his yard gone without a trace. “The space brothers must have wanted to take that tree to study. They probably levitated it right away without leaving so much as a leaf or piece of bark behind.”

When we started to head back to Cape, I noticed that I had picked up a nail in a tire, resulting in a slow leak. We stopped at the first service station in Mountain View where the kid who fixed my flat was curious about what we strangers were doing in town.

“We’re covering Buck Nelson’s Flying Saucer Convention,” I explained.

“That old Buck,” the kid said, “We have a bundle of fun with him. Every once in awhile we’ll go out there with a bunch of rockets and shoot them off over this house. The best prank we played was one weekend when he was out of town. Me and a bunch of my buddies cut down this tree in his front yard and made off with every speck of it. We didn’t leave a single scrap of sawdust behind…..”

Buck sounds like quite a character. It would have been something to sit back on his back porch and discuss this stuff over a couple of beers.

A toast to Buck!

Purr, i am sure not adapting a role of a victim, but certain of your esteemed members here desperately try to downplay the thread and start the conflict at any cost, often resorting to profanity which you had to remove as you said. I have already touched on the subject that around here it seems to be "normal" that thread host can be insulted and mods will not step in untill it gets organic, but responding to insult-ers in any way is "crossing the line"? So, rather than redirecting the reminders at me, tame your trolls.

Ps. i wasn't aiming flames at his family when i said i hope he doesn't consider them nazis like he does the people of Clarion. Let's be just and not make false accusations.

I didn't miss it, how poor old Buck thought his tree got dematerialized or levitated into the spaceship while, in fact, it was the little devils who played a prank on him.

Old Buck would sure love that too. He is probably living on Venus now maybe even reading this. So, cheers, Buck!

Route of Buck's trip. Note how they didn't go from Mars to Venus but to the Moon first. Seems they prefer to travel along the lines of force.

Pos1tron,

May I draw your attention to post #12.

This is where it all re-started.

Until your response in post#12 people were simply saying 'ho hum, here he goes again. And it was good natured banter.

But, and I say this with no malice intended, you have a fatal flaw.

You won't let anything go if it is not going your way.

You are evangelizing this business of your space friends.
Essentially you are saying 'I say this is how it is, and anyone who doesn't believe me is a fool'.

So we're fools. No problem with you thinking that. But you can't go around saying it (ain't that so, Purr ?) or you will find folk retaliate.

Or is that the whole point ?

Why can't you see that we have all considered this kind of thing and rejected it as highly improbable. Not necessarily impossible, but as near as matters.

You are the one who starts throwing accusations of trolling about.
If you just let it go when you see that others are not buying into your belief (which you say is fact) then we could all live happily ever after.

I have nothing against you believing anything you want.

Just don't try forcing it on the people who don't hold the same view.

Also, when there is a period where people stop responding, trying to claim that as some kind of victory is really just trying to re-ignite the problem.

It simply means we have had enough of this.
