Hi Pos1tron, SHALOM back at ya smiley, I certainly don't want you (or any other member) upset. So to keep you updated with resolving forum problems, I'm not 'furious' (or angry) with you. Also, the mods are closely monitoring plus WORKING THE PROBLEM, trust me, we're on it.

Please note moderator directives added to the Water, atmosphere and life on the moon thread in Reply # 587 (purr), # 589 (ZETAR) and # 617 (skizicks). Such posts (and future mod entries like them) are intended to guide the behavior of all those participating in the thread.

No pointing of fingers, Pos, instead it is simply part of mod duties to address debate participants' mode of interaction, with civility, member safety and (possible) breaches of Forum Rules & Regulations in mind. Do read mod posts with attention to detail to maximize benefits! All participants to your thread were addressed, check it out:

May I remind the esteemed participating members, especially in light of all of them happening to be intelligent responsible adults in this instant, and I'm emphatically including threadhost, of the imperative to avoid flaming/personal attacks and strive for keeping the debate civil.

Be assured no one is being singled out, directives apply to all. Adding yet a few more.

Please keep posts on topic as much as possible.

All your concerns are duly noted (and taken seriously), however any forum problems are best addressed through the Instant Message system.

Someone else answered your question earlier, Pos. I don't know, I don't think this is a mod action, in all likelyhood it is an automated feature of conforums (program creating our website), of as GhostofEd suggests individual members adjusting their personal read-counter. I'm not too technical I'm afraid.

Purr, GhostEd was being sarcastic. Such feature doesn't even exist, at least not in my profile settings. Even if it did, i doubt all the readers would suddnely all at once delete their views, all 17500 of them. I find it strange you do NOT find it strange.

I honestly don't know what's on Ed's mind here, but hearing of the 17500 number I recall this sort of thing happening several times before (including myself couple of years back, I queried staff too!). With some confidence: I think it's an automated feature operating in the conforums program (the software supporting UFO Casebook).

This is my best answer Pos1tron. The precise tech is well beyond my comprehension. This definitely was not mod action!

If something else comes up don't hesitate to call for mod assistence through the IM system.

It doesn't make sense that this would be a "feature" of the conforums software. Why would count number reset itself? Does it not know how to count above 17500? Anyway..

Reading esteemed member Klaatubarada's post above brings to mind Purr's recent words. How about putting those words into practice.

"it is simply part of mod duties to address debate participants' mode of interaction, with civility, member safety and (possible) breaches of Forum Rules & Regulations in mind."

Mmmm... Pos, are you aware of Pres Obama's first dog, a Portuguese Water Dog, getting named Bo? These Portuguese pooches (I'm not sure, your uploaded pics are hard to make out on space dog Bo's appearance) seem similar to Buck's Bo!

Judge for yourself (maybe I'm not seeing straight):

Uh.. the presidential Bo actually is black.

Wildest conjecture coming to mind here: is FDOTUS Bo 'Obama' (the PWD) a descendent of the spacefaring dog in your articles/photos? Could the US pres have a discrete line of communication with ET playing fetch on the White House lawn? I'm probably nuts for thunking....

Thoughts?

Hmm, they do kinda look alike. But i doubt Obama (Satan) would be associated with people from Venus, unless he stole the venusian dog.
