Hey, thanks a bunch for the graphics and links, and the story summary. It sounds like it would be a great story, long enough to get to know the characters, and follow the progress of their abduction history. As time draws closer, this board will be swamped with people I bet. Thanks again for the pics and links.

The one of the girl is a great pic for some reason. Someone has a knack for picking the right folks to fill the roles. I wonder...

Wanted to pass this along also...
I got this in from Dr. Boyland

My friend, Kathy Vaquilar, sends this announcement of a new
and positive documentary on encounters with Star Visitors, to be
aired on the Sci-Fi Channel on Thursday, NOVEMBER 21,
2002 - 8:00 p.m. It is called [unfortunately] "The Abduction
Diaries". Kathy will be one of the experiencers interviewed. She
says it should be worth your watching.

The BBC has won the bidding rights to show Taken, the SCI FI Channel's upcoming original miniseries, in the United Kingdom, the Reuters news service reported. The BBC paid $3 million to secure the 20-hour epic miniseries, which charts the lives of three families against the backdrop of 50 years of UFO history, the wire service reported. Steven Spielberg is the executive producer.

"I am pleased that the BBC, which has long been a part of my life, has expanded their relationship with its commitment to Taken," Spielberg said in a statement, the wire service reported.

Taken premieres on SCI FI on Dec. 2. It airs on BBC 2 in January 2003, Reuters reported.

What may be the underlying purpose of the production 'Taken'. Dr. Steven Greer has a theory that government PR has an ulterior motive behind it. Go to this url, read it and judge for yourself.

Yes, I saw this somewhere, I think what he is doing with Disclosure is great, but I think he overreacts a lot, and makes something out of nothing. Taken is just a show portraying what can or might have happened to a family with contactees.

Some people make a mistake by looking for conspiracy in everything. Useless waste of time and energy. Are there conspiracies, sure there are, but a simple TV show. Get real, is it OK to just be entertained sometime without being a promoter of a conspiracy.

I totally agree, sure there are conspiracies, but some do react to everything as being a conspiracy and it is not. Greer, whom I do not know, does do a lot of good, but has the reputation of seeing some underlying conspiracy in almost everything. At least, that I what I have heard.

If you want to you can find controversy and conspiracy in everything. This is one of those catch-22 subjects. One cannot be so believing that they take anyone's word for something, and yet we can't think "Conspiracy" all the time either.

Thanks for the post.

xx TAKEN preview

I watched the one hour "making of" Taken tonight on SciFi, and I must say it was very well put together, Explanations were given on aging actors, special effects, location shooting, etc. It certainly looks like this will be a fine mini series.

Don't forget Friday night is the Roswell dig results show.

Folks, I just have a second, I am working on several projects right now, but I did take a full 2 hour break to see the first night of Taken. I was in no way disappointed. The story is great, the sets are fabulous, the aliens are really spooky, and the UFOs were very realistic.

Each episode will be repeated the next day, so if you miss one, maybe you can catch it the next day. It is a must see.

Second episode was very entertaining. Things are beginning to take shape now on several different stories being intertwined. Check it out if you haven't

Taken was just great, in my opinion. The little girl was just the star of the show. I was disappointed that she had to leave at the end though.

If you are reading this, it's because i felt sorry for the fact no-one had responded for over 41 months! Even David Blaine couldn't hold his breath that long! grin
