Hey everyone. I am new to this forum and need some opinions about what i saw. I live in the Atlanta area, just north, so if anyone else saw this please reply.
I was looking south about 70 degrees above horizon at 6:11 am on 1/14/2011. I had seen a dim shooting star so i stayed looking in that area. Next I saw a long bright blink which i thought was my eyes tricking me. it was as bright as sirius at the time. over the next five minutes i saw a few more blinks much dimmer and getting dimmer still. i saw the object moving slowly so i new it was not in our atmosphere. i am a sky watcher and look for and see satellites often. This was not. I watched for more blinks and soon there was another very bright blink fllowed by dimmer till it was out of my viewing area. I have two trees in my yard that are 35 feet apart and the object took five minutes to move through that viewing area. It may have been something tumbling in space and a flat area was reflecting sunlight. Maybe the dull blinks were from different sides as it tumbled. I did follow the object between blinks but it was difficult. Something was in a near earth orbit or pass and was not in control. Has anyone seen this or is there any stories of near earth objects from that morning.
I watch the skies often and know what is what up there so please be serious with response. I'm just interested in what it could have been. Also, I am an airman so dont tell me it was a plane. I know every plane up there and can tell you what it is at 50,000 feet. Just curious.

Thank you

Hello,

I have had strange happenings in my life but I do not need or want answers, I do not categorize any of my experience as ET contacts. What I want to find in my interactions on the net is other people asking questions.

I am sure most people here listen to paratopia and already have subscribed but just in case here is the link:

http://www.paratopia.net

This is the only podcast/blog/magazine I have found that asks questions constantly.

HAPPY 2011 From VANCOUVER ISLAND BC, (Canada) hoping to meet with others from here who have also had strange experiences. Myself, some, but mostly my close friends who have had a lifelong history . I am here to support them and relay for some of them not as computer savvy as me.

Hello rblack and welcome. I grew up in Gwinnett County and now live in Alabama so I found your post interesting. I coundn't find anything for the date you mentioned but you might keep an eye on this for an update.

The last Georgia sighting was in July but the last update I think was in September. You should report the sighting as well. Dan

I live in Loganville, GA and on that same night I was driving down Hwy 78 from Snellville towards Loganville. I saw three evenly spaced white lights ahead of me that seemed to pulsate. My first thought was it looked like a low flying airplane coming towards me. I watched as the lights slowly moved toward my left; stop; and slowly move back to the right until the stopped about 100 yards from the road. The lights slowly moved toward me parallel to the road. As they got closer, it became apparent the lights weren't in a row at all but formed a triangle shape. They moved past me at no more than 15 mph. From behind I could see what looked like two horizontal red light bars. One above the other. It simply moved down the road until it was out of sight.

The object was way too slow for an airplane and the lights were far too wide apart for a helicopter. I could see a dark shape between the lights. There was no noise I could here over the car noise. The shape reminded me of a hang glider but it would have been huge. This happened about 1015 pm. The object looked to be about 300-400 feet above the ground.

Hello mystified and welcome. It seems you and rblack both saw the same thing. What it was I don't have a clue. Looks like I should have stayed in Duluth GA. smiley

I'm not really good with introductions. laugh

My name is Heather, I am 19, and I live in Canada. I was a member here previously a few years ago but had to start new because I couldn't remember my username or password, lol. I have been fairly avidly following the ufo, paranormal, and conspiracy communities for a number of years now. As a young child I would beg my parents to let me stay up late to watch xfiles, alien, and paranormal movies with them, more often than not ending up scared sleepless. But that fright eventually turned into curiosity and the search for knowledge, like many of us I imagine. I have experienced a couple UFO sightings, or what I believe may have been sightings, maybe I will share them some day. smiley

Hope to chat with many of you soon! Take care.

Hi, everybody! grin I just thought I would come over and check out your site. It looks interesting so far.

I used to be a member of another UFO forum but I got booted off because of a rogue moderator. I left there and created my own forum about unsolved mysteries and paranormal phenomenon but I am still looking for a good UFO forum. I signed up on MUFON but that forum is dead. This one has a lot of people at least. smiley Hopefully I won't get booted again. rolleyes
