Hello from Lake Superior! I am a new member to this forum but an old UFO follower. I was introduced to the UFO phenemona in 1952, so I have a long interest in UFO's. I have seen UFO's several times over the years and have many friends along the south shore of Lake Superior who have seen UFO's up close and in one instance, the friend saw one land and humanoid figures get out of the craft and appear to tinker with the underside of the craft. Lake Superior has a long history of sightings and has been mentioned as a posible place where UFO's might have an under water base.
One well publisied incident involved a UFO hovering over a school in broad daylight in a small town about six miles from where I live. At the time, we had an Air Force Base, K.I. Sawyer, about a hundred miles away. The Air Force denied that there was anything to the report but later thar day, missle armed Interceptors were low flying all around the area. In another incident, I was working as a police officer in another small town on the Keweenaw Peninsula, and one of my fellow officers was patroling about 3:00 am, with his lights off. He came around a corner and there was a large UFO hovering over a power substation, he said about 100 ft over head. When he shown his spotlight on the UFO, it quickly sped off. I used to be involved in a local CB radio network and UFO's were a frequent topic!

Welcome to UfoCB supersidufo! Sounds like quite an experience you and your schoolmates had. I am interested to hear more about this! Did it affect your later life/beliefs in any way?

Hello everyone,I'm Dave from Singapore.
I have never believed that we were alone in this vast Universe.
My interest really started only in about March this year, when i was browsing the net and read about reports of escalating UFO sightings.
I hope to learn more from this forum about this phenomenon, and understand better from the experienced members of this forum.
Thank you for making me part of your family! smiley

Hi, all. I'm new around here (despite being a member of UFOCB for a year, I've only just found this site)! I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to explain to me how the member status system works? What's with all the stars?
My apologies for posting here, but I wasn't quite sure where else to put it!
Many thanks!

Hi Crumpet97. You asked "how (does) the member status system work?"

I think it has to do with how many Posts a person makes.

Hello crumpet97 and welcome to UFOCasebook! IslandStar is correct about the number of stars being tied to the number of posts. Dan

Hi all, my name is Craig, 61 year old, viet vet, burner, born and raised in Los Angeles, but now in Northern, very Northern California near Tulelake. I guess I need a little direction if I could, I wish to post a thread, inquiry, about Gabrial Green and the amalgamated flying saucer clubs of america. I went to a.. humm thing they had in Woodland Hills back in the early '70s and had some experiences that others might have had.

So, under what topic heading would this type of thread go best. thanks and I look forward to learning a lot here.

Hi wedeliver and welcome. I'd start the thread in the General UFO and Alien forum. But don't worry about where you start a thread. If it's obviously out of place we will move it without a problem. Dan
