Hello fixit, I am new here and feel a little uncomfortable but I was wondering, if you believe in Ghosts and Spirits but don't think they are spirits of the dead, what do you think they are ? I ask only out of curiosity and I don't mean to affend.. (did I spell affend right ?? Offend I think it is.. undecided) Anyway I was just curious.. do you think it is some kind of time warp thing where we are seeing into the past ? Or do you think they are demons ? I myself think it could be all of the above and the spirit of the dead also if for some reason they got stuck here..
sounds awful doesn't it .. wink

Hello Fixit and Nwest, and welcome to the board.

Fixit, I'm in pretty much the same category as you, and replied because we have a lot in common.

Always been interested in UFOs but never knew for sure if they existed. My parents spotted something large that flew over their vehicle late one night in March of this year and to hear my dad's excited voice (knowing how skeptical he had always been about them) on the cell phone telling me where to look to see a UFO started making up my mind (I wasn't able to spot that one before it disappeared). And then seeing all of Lawwalk's really good UFO pictures here added a lot to that, and made me think I might be able to spot one of my own if I spent enough time looking for them.

Since June I've been spending an hour or two nearly every evening looking for them, and though many of the things I've seen might have been planes or jets, I know of one for certain I saw on 8/18/05 that was a definite "UFO" that emitted a bright silvery blue light and that stopped and hovered at a high altitude (maybe 20,000 feet or a bit less) and then turned its lights out. I couldn't have been a helicopter at that altitude, and I know some of the new military jets can do all sorts of cool things with their vectored thrust, but not this for two minutes. It also emitted vapor clouds after the lights went out, and I was able to take 39 pictures of it with a 6X digital camera. Anyway, I don't know who or what piloted it, but it was a classic UFO case that can't be explained by conventional aircraft.

I also read your article on the laser binoculars and found it anything but boring. Since the sighting I described above, I'm a little leary of firing things at them though. The object was traveling from west to east and when I started snapping pictures of it is when it stopped...it's like it picked up on the sonar (or whatever automatic cameras use to focus) and then stopped to see who was shooting what at it, and that was a little bit scary in itself. smiley My new camera has a manual focus lock and an option to turn off the auto-focus assist lamp, and I no longer fire any light or radio waves at anything that flies in the skies except for birds LOL.

Have seen a few more probables, and several possibles since June also. Still waiting for that "big one" where my newer and bigger camera can actually capture the structure well enough to give some detail.

Never have seen an alien so I'm not 100% convinced of them, but have gotten to know some on this board well enough to know they are truthful who believe they have seen them, so I'm not as skeptical about them anymore and lean pretty heavily toward believing they exist.

Anyway, that said, it's great to have the new people and hope you enjoy it here. smiley

One very important thing on my post.

I have had a sighting of my own. So has my wife. Different sightings, though.

In answer to the question about ghosts, I do believe that they are demons. I will gladly discuss this more if there is an appropriate forum.

I am wrangling for a video camera this Christmas, so I can film the San Antonio airplanes that look like UFOs. Saw one today. I do this not to be a skeptic, but just to inject a little rationality.

I attended a MUFON meeting once, and most of those people were not very rational. One woman had the same exact response to everything - "COINCIDENCE???"

Another one said that she had been abducted so many times that she could tell when it was "time to pull over and be abducted".

No joke.

To me, these people don't do the "movement" any good.

I have my theories about "lost time" abductions, also.

Anybody want to talk about this stuff, my email is linked next to my posts. Or, you can PM me. I might be adding my AIM ID to my profile soon.

Iíll start off by letting you know about my moniker which is Native American. Nockomis was the Daughter of the Moon.

Hiawatha's Childhood

By the shores of Gitche Gumee,
By the shining Big-Sea-Water,
Stood the wigwam of Nokomis,
Daughter of the Moon, Nokomis.
Dark behind it rose the forest,
Rose the black and gloomy pine-trees,
Rose the firs with cones upon them;
Bright before it beat the water.
Beat the clear and sunny water,
Beat the shining Big-Set-Water.

by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

However. the spelling of my "Nocomis" is to honor a dear departed who carried this name .

I live in Huntsville, Texas and take care of my Mom. 10 years ago I was involved in a chemical spill and have many health problems related to that so now am on disability. All together not bad as it did free me up to be available to care for my Mom when she needed me the most.

Firstly i'm sorry to hear of your misfortune but it's good you have put a positive spin on this with regards looking after your mother. It is obvious that you have a special talent with a good heart i am sure you will be rewarded in the future with good fortune as you certainly deserve a bit of good luck as looking after loved ones can be very hard work.

Kindest Regards

I am very sorry to hear of your health problems. But, as you stated the positive, you are giving your mother something wonderful, and will be blessed with many precious memories.
I wish my mom was still here to do that with a little more.
I love the native american monitor. My grandmother was half-blood something or other. Genealogy has proven difficult for me, because the great grandfather who was native american seems to have disappeared somewhere along the way. My grandmother was very beautiful in my eyes, so I loved seeing anything that brought back those childhood memories.
Thanks for the lovely poem about Hiawatha......
very nice.

That looks like a real nice area. It does portray Indiana certainly. For 17 years of my life I lived at the intersection of the Maumee, St. Mary's and St. Joseph rivers in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Fun growing up along the banks. We had nothing but catfish though.

This is actually for "Fixit" but I needed to use Nwest's post to quote. Fixit: If you believe in ghosts and if they are the dead, could the possibility be there that alien ghosts can as well exist alongside us just like human ghosts? Well, that is of course if you believe in aliens first.

I imagine that the aliens technology is to the point where they can actually drop the body and live in the spirit when ever they want. For that matter, there is a good chance that they can even change bodies and step into a new one at will.

It's becoming easier, especially today to realize that we'll be able to someday download our thoughts and memories into a computer. At some point, we would probably be able to upload our experiences into a different brain. Because of this, I'm sure that they can do the same with their whole life's experience and replace their existing body for a newer and improved version. That's one way to live for ever and ever.

For that matter, we already know that the human body could never travel the distances that they travel and so I would imagine that their travelling body is designed accordingly for long distance space travel. There has to be answers of some type to justify those G-forces that they obviously experience. As well, for many onboard, they could just be living in the spirit during much of the long space flight putting the body to rest somewhere onboard. I wonder where I get these thoughts sometimes. LOL
