Hi Creolelady . Yes I think that our leaders are going to be the death of us all! That includes the power drunk leaders of government to religious leaders etc.

Plato wasn’t my favorite philosopher , however that said, I admire the wisdom and the ability of all the great philosophers to distil normal reality down to its elemental constituents, and then “transmute” those elements into the real gold of literary treasures that explain our reality in a new way.

Hmmm' its 4am Monday here in the mystical smoky mountains of (far) East Tennessee (USA) , time to put the telescope away , then put the bogie the basset hound to bed , do a cup of green tea , and then lie down as well….

East Tenn. does indeed look mystical doesn't it?
I enjoyed some of the philosophical readings during my sollege days. I read some of Plato and Aristotle and Thomas Aquinas, but I guess I like the simple words of Gandhi that I use in my banner the best.....that says it all to me...and I love St Francis Pryaer for inspiration. Helps me to deal with some of the power drunk types out there. smiley
Enjoy the view and the green tea. Have an extra cup of it for me....I missed mine for a few days.

Yes, according to geologists this area was part of Africa eons ago. I have traveled all over the world, but I ache for these mountains if I stay away too long.

I love Aquinas; of course that I am an open theist Christian may have something to do with it. Open Christianity is sort of a liberal Christianity.

Oh yes ! Gandhi is in the top five people who I admire. His words litertialy shaped the reality of a great nation. He didn’t care too much for Christians, but I tell myself that he didn’t like the false prophets and Christians that really are not Christians. Real Christians try to follow the teachings of Jesus, which was about love.

Thanks for the kind words Creole! I will do just that, I adulterate my green tea with honey and a bit of crème, yes I am a hillbilly. Hey , you and yours should visit Tennessee western North Carolina again soon, we actually have some good things going on concerning culture and art now, compared to say ten years ago.

The last time we went through there was 1996. We stopped in the Cherokee area to shop for pottery and prints for my living room. I love native american art and pottery so I pick up new pieces whenever I can. It truly is a beautiful place
My husband has family in North Carolina, so we get out that way for vacations sometimes, however they all live on the beach.

I just use the lemon flavored type and don't use anything else in it.....but ya gotta drink it the way you like it!

Have a nice rest of the week out there in the mystic, majestic beauty.

Hello Everyone!
Like most of you I've had a lifelong fascination with the subject of U.F.O's and here I am in my mid fifties and my interest continues to grow. Over the years I've been fortunate enough to have had quite a few "sightings", but nothing like the series that took place during the summer of 2005. Living in Northern Ontario and far from any major city, there isn't the light or air polution to contend with, which allows me an incredible view of the night sky. Cheers!

Binary Ghost, thank you for your very kind words.

Nrthrnbkr, so glad you came in to join us. As you can see, we have a lot of really great friendly people here who share your interest in UFOs. We look forward to seeing many more posts from you.

BinaryGhost I don't know if this weather has reached you yet, but behind the storms came some cooler temps again. Every time my flowers come back up we have a freeze. Pretty tough to decide what to wear to work in the morning . I am glad we waited to plant our veggies this year.
Hope the weather doesn't get nasty in your neck of the woods.

Hi Creole lady! Thank you for being the catalyst that makes those words forthcoming! Friends and loved ones are the true things of value in this universe. Everything else is secondary.

The wonderful cold weather came upon us a couple days ago, I was up on a small mountain hunting some herbs (I am going to try my hand at making essential oils and Fresh Plant Tinctures) I t had been raining all day as bogie the basset and I neared the top the snow began it was beautiful on the green spring growth..

Anyway..
Peace sister CL...
