Welcome to the forum lumlum and timeworn.
I will answer your questions in a bit. Moderators are appointed by admin. They are usually members who have been here for a bit and that admin feels would be good for the position when there is an opening for a moderator. We have just recently filled several new slots with some wonderful moderators.

Greetings all! I've been cruising these forums for a bit... well maybe around a week now. At first I was a bit dismayed at how quickly people seem to latch on to even the thinnest bit of evidence but then I eventually started seeing some real quality posts.

I've never seen a UFO, never seen an alien, and I'm guessing I never will. This is very unfortunate because I'd really like to see on. I'm so tired of living viscerally through blurry unfocused videos and pictures that easily could be faked. Itís hard for me to believe in something unless I see it for myself or I see some real solid proof.

Of course, then why do I say "I want to see one" if I don't believe? That is because I've seen enough that points me towards believing there is SOMETHING out there, flying around. I want to know what it is, I want to experience it. Kinda a weird contradiction...

So yes, I do come in peace, I know many won't see this post but please be advised that if we enter a future conversation and I ask a lot of questions, it is only because those need to be answered before the truth can be obtained.

I know many of you have had personal experiences, and I of course am not assuming your lying! I mean sure some people might, but why? Anyway, please know that I'm not trying to dis-credit you, only push for more insight. After all I don't think there is anyway I can know what it feels like to see a UFO, or be upducted, etc. And I realize that when someone questions something so... dramatic in another's life it can set the person in defense mod, so not hard feelings in advance.

I do enjoy many of the videos and pictures on the main site, some very quality pics there.

Sorry, I get off topic sometime and I'm happy to just find people who are at least open to the ideas of UFOs.

Oh yeah, I hail form Washington, near the Seattle area, nice to meet you all. grin

Very nice to meet you as well. I think asking questions is a good thing......we all can learn from each other's questions.
I also like to ask questions, so that is fine. As long as we all respect each other's right to ask questions and to disagree respectfully with each other we all benefit from the exchange. At least that is my perspective.
I hope that you will enjoy browsing around and joining in here.

Thanks! Indeed, I realize that some people had fairly mind/life altering things happen to them and it seems they come here as a way to gain acceptance and support. Of couse that doesn't rule out that some have created the stories only to gain acceptance with a group that is more open to people who claim to have had these things happen to them... due to the said person being unable to gain acceptance with other social groups. I would hope those people realize that they don't need to! Trust me, many of us wish we have seen UFOs who haven't, but by making false claims it hurts the whole search!

I hope to maybe also hear stories about any UFO sightings in WA, although around my very urban environment, that seems unlikely.

And I think I should enjoy it here. While there are some theories that are... fairly far out there, that to me strike me as humans trying to find meaning and significance for our reason for being on this planet... are interesting none the less. If everyone thought the same it'd make us like insects, yes?

While an idea may strike me as crazy, it is still an idea, even hearing it may open up something or lead me down a new pathway.

I do wish I could get my thoughts under contorl sometime, haha!

Welcome John from Perthshire!
I hope that you will enjoy the forum with every visit. There is a section on the moon with many threads on this forum. I am not sure about Antartica, but there is probably something I may not have read yet or don't remember.
Jump in and enjoy!

Hi, just joined today. I bring with me a wealth of knowledge about UFOs, the paranormal, religion and plain common sense. I've been researching UFOs for a long time, and have contributed many articles regarding paranormal events to various websites. This forum seems very interesting, and I might take a couple of days checking out the various boards here.
