I really like the composition of the cemetery shot. I think the black and white shots really enhance the photos in both of these. Great angle on that cemetery by the way. Every time I see the photos that you and lawwalk and others post here I feel the need to get my cameras out and get to shooting again. But I am currently busy scanning and restoring old photos for a genealogy project and for my family. Most of my sibling lost all their photos in the flooding of Hurricane Katrina. Since I don't live in New orleans anymore, I have photos and them and their children and our parents, so for me, this is an important gift to be able to give them. I am going to create cds with all the photos full sized so i can send to each of them. I suggested the have files of photo cds that are easier to grab and carry whenever they might need to evacuate again.
I will be able to focus more on shooting new photos when I finish.
Last week I went home for a visit and took some photos of St Louis Cathedral. The sun was so high and bright that I might need to give a little sharpening to them before deciding to post.
You would probably have fun taking photos of the older buildings in the French Quarter! Bet Lawwalk would enjoy it too, and he isn't that far away from it.

Lawwalk,
I have seen flights like that of Blue Herons back home in Kansas. Is that what those are cuz' they sure do look like them? Their legs don't look long enough but very close.

Hi Lone

I think they are Egrets, some people call them cow birds because the cows scare up grasshoppers and other bugs they eat.
