I decided to go a little darker with my photographic content. smiley

Recently, I visited a medieval graveyard, located within a city centre. It was full of decrepit, and hauntingly beautiful grave stones.

Despite a healthy interest in the paranormal, I was a little worried about the location's history. A decade ago, the authorities had to close off an older section. Basically, visitors were getting physically harmed by the now famous McKenzie poltergeist.

McKenzie was the lord advocate of a 17th century prison, and gained a reputation for being pretty strict. His nickname was Bloody McKenzie. A homeless man had desecrated his grave back in '99, located in the black mausoleum, which I believe kickstarted the disturbance.

Anywho.. A local psychic wouldn't return, after his attempted exorcism. (Unless, he carried a bible and cross first.) He said there were evil spiritual forces present. Also detected, were the spirits of around 200 people who had been starved to death. sad A couple of weeks later, he reporedly died of a heart attack. shocked undecided

So, yeah.. Either I was incredibly stupid, or brave to make a visit.. Luckily, I didn't experience any scratches or throttling.. I did ponder the chance to record some EVP though, but backed down.

Here are the pictures from my visit...

Aileron, thanks for keeping the thread going. I haven't been able to get many photos lately. I have a family member who has been very ill in another state. All of my focus has been on praying for her and preparing things at home to head there before planned if that becomes necessary.
Hopefully very soon I will be out taking photos to post.

Yours are really great. Very deep and thought provoking.

The darker ones on the previous page were scary almost. i don't think I would have been going through that cemetery. Reminds me of some of the very old ones in my hometown....

That is so peaceful looking Lawwalk. It would be nice to sit there and watch the sun go down.

That is very pretty Lawwalk, and I sure liked being reminded that Spring is indeed coming. It can't get here soon enough for me.
I look forward to all your Spring photos. smiley
