sorry to announce that my IP address is not permitted any more to view new images from NASA,JPL and Goddard S.C. which contain earth poles.
May that be indicative?

This is the image of polar winds and the pole is just under the top of the globe. There is a low exactly on the pole not very deep with medium strength winds.
No we should know that the winds in the low should be moving to the center of the low should there not be a Coriolis force which force the winds to move in vortex around the center.Therefor the wind is directed off the center more in weak lows and less in deep lows.
So there are no lows where the wind is blowing strait to its center.
However the winds in that low strait on north pole is blowing directly to the center. Why that ?Where all that air is going? There is only one reply; strait down the pole hole

Hey Africa,

How's the old hollow Earth situation these days ?

How about an update on progress.

Just in case people have forgotten what it is all about, here is getcruunkk's link for everyone's perusal.

Just thinking.

If it was possible to dig a hole down to the Earth's centre than, ignoring inconvenient facts like the temperature of molten rock and the problems of making a hole in it, what would happen when you got to the centre ?

The gravity would be immense.

And if you were to try to dig further (to go right through to the other side) would you have to dig upwards, above your head ?

Or, when you reached a point short of the centre where the mass of material above you exceeded the mass below you, would that be a zero gravity point ? Would you be in zero gravity until you hit the equivelant point on the other side ?

Just a few thoughts to keep you amused.

Good question.
You would float whilst burning from the temperature and pressures enough to crush one to fit into a small mop bucket.
These scientists take all the fun out of thingsundecided
http://www.newton.dep.anl.gov/askasci/env99/env002.htm I do so love that story by Luvey of the Green children and hope no one spoils it with a boring scientific explanation.
Brings to mind meh teachers and lovely mum, rest in peace, directing us to read books with titles like Fun with Science, Magic of Science, and when one opened them it was no such thing! shocked
I think all texts of this nature should have clearly visible boring ratings or even warning labels, don't you?
Well how about those moons around Mars , I'll wager someone will say they are solid too, I heard thru the ufo grapevine they might be, brace yourselves, artificial satellites by that American Hoagey man, or something like that. You know, That face on Mars fellow. Surely he must be right about something? Wrong every time would just boggle my mind. I can't get a refund on these DVDs and such in my collection, more than a few duckettes, certainly. That's hard for someone on a fixed income.

Well, despite my painful episodes of pyles killing me sitting here following up these bewildering endings, I shan't give up, but just how much can an old woman be expected to endure?
Well how about the Vril ships that went in and out these holes , what ever happened to them?

There , I bet
that cat will catch your tongue Mr Scientist.

Cheers

The last time I was down there, I saw several of those Vril ships all smooshed down to the size of the dumpster out behind the Moose Club. Those ships have notoriously bad shield generators. I felt bad for the occupants, all squashed down into mop buckets, all because the Vril beaurocracy is too cheap to get decent equipment.

Old Hoagy may be a crackpot and his theories might be comical, but I still have to respect him for getting a stereo installed on V'ger. That took vision and persistence.

MsGatsby,

...I do so love that story by Luvey of the Green children and hope no one spoils it with a boring scientific explanation....

Yeh, I know the feeling. Why let a few boring facts spoil a good story.

But it's HAL you're talking to now; the re-incarnated ava. And it's the facts Ma'am, just the facts, from here on out.

Well Coriolis effect happens because of differing planetary rotation speeds at different latitudes. The fastest speed of 2000mph occuring at the equator, and the lowest speed at the poles A small depression exactly at the pole would probably not be much affected by this effect.

User Image

So the wind map image is not showing wind going into the polar 'hole' it is showing the low coriolis effect at the poles. wink This is clear by the illusiory 3D effect of the wind arrows going 'down' into the pole. Actually these wind plots are not in 3D but 2D and the three dimensional visual effect of the wind 'going down the drain' is really the weak coriolis effect in 2D.

Finally, if you look at the wind arrows surrounding the north pole they are circulating in an anti-clockwise direction. That means an anticyclone not a depression in the northern hemisphere.

(Anyway, if this was really the atmosphere going down into the planet you would see the wind coming OUT at the opposite pole. Where is that wind map photo? That would prove the point unless there is a small anticyclone at that location.)

If there's a hole at the North Pole, how come the ocean doesn't fall down into it?

But there are no volcanoes at the North Pole, or anywhere near it because the pole is surrounded by the Arctic Ocean.

If there is any validity to Admiral Richard B. Byrd's, Diary, and the Hollow Earth hypothesis, flying saucers may be from an ancient civilization inside the Earth.

Your forgetting that dozens of planes fly over the North Polar region every day and night. People by the hundred if not thousands have trecked across it. There are multi national bases there. Submarines have even padded under the ice.

So no, there is nothing to this claim.
