I guess the commercialization of this was inevitable eh? But do you know what? I really don't freaking care! Just don't create a season final cliffhanger. Right?

It sounds great, but when dealing with any of these type of companies it still will have a lot of, for the camera, for the show type stuff happening as well as going on,it will more than likely be all about the money as with so many other things that have been done. I hope not,but most of these companies are in it for money, just like all the reality shows that have been going on. It would be nice to actually have a company that would put the investigation above all else, I'm hoping ,but I just don't think they will.

I just hope that someone hasn't already beat them to it and done whatever to cover anything up or already removed what may have been there, if it's anything beside lost ruins of an ancient civilization, like UFO'S,SUB BASE, TOXIC WASTE DUMP,etc. We will just have to wait and see.

I'm sure someone will be on board to sound the whistle if anything is truly found, you never know who will be on board and for that matter if the people running this thing will know for sure rolleyes.

ice

I have to agree with you on what you said.
I think a better matchup would be the one called Al Capones Vault, man was that a waste of time to watch, and they just kept leading everyone around in circles. Or at least that"s the way I felt after watching it. Again I'm sure everyone involved made quite a bit of money from it though and that was what they wanted in the first place I believe.Even if there is something there, I don't think that they will let them air the truth about what they truly found if it is a UFO, OR SOME OTHER VERY SENSITIVE THING, they want to keep quiet. I hope I'm wrong, but I really don't think they will. I believe it will turn up nothing unless it may be the ruins, but then again they could say or be made to say that was what they found either that or a big rock rolleyes !! As always just my thoughts on the post and not meant to offend anyone. smiley JIM

Another good example would be Jesse Jame's lost treasure Searcher. All too often these shows tend to be attempts to attract more sponsors. I wouldn't worry about offending anyone here, as what you said was dead on truth and common sense.

That said, I should point out that I hope to be wrong about this as well, but believe we should all be prepared should they pull a standard ploy.

There are plenty of governments that would be interested if this had a chance of being some crashed spaceship. There are also more than one with advanced subs and ROVs that could go and take a look.
The fact that this story has been doing the rounds for a year and nothing's been done, it's not been claimed, no cover-story has come out........
You can bet that several governments already know what this isn't wink
If it was some Alien mothership then there would military all over the area and we'd all be being told that there are 'long planned' wargames/maneuvers going on and the water/airspace is closed until further notice.

I suspect you are correct. I'm willing to bet that the USA, UK, Russia, France, Germany, China, and Israel all knew exactly what is down there a week after the discovery was made.

Actually, I had that thought some time back myself as well, but ....... great catch. Do you think it's ruins? Or just a Basalt Plug? And will we learn what it is in an expedient fashion? Or will we find ourselves sitting through three docudramas before they quit spinning us in circles? Time for that old office pool here at casebook?

Hi Icepick,

Thanks. smiley
I suspect that the most mundane explanation is probobly the right one.
My gut feeling is that It's probobly a natural geological formation.

I suspect you are correct. The face on Mars visits Captain Nemo. The presence of a similar object so close to this one indicates either something natural, or sediment atop ancient ruins in my opinion.

They're going back Friday:

The truth is out there about UFO in Baltic Sea, Swedish scientists say

By Gene J. Koprowski
Published May 29, 2012
FoxNews.com

Swedish scientists plan to explore a mystery ripped straight from the “The X-Files.”

Rather than Mulder and Scully, this adventure features Swedish researchers Peter Lindberg and Dennis Asberg. They too know the truth is out there -- and in mere days plan to visit what they call the “Baltic Anomaly.”

Last summer, while on a treasure hunt between Sweden and Finland, the pair and their research associates made headlines worldwide with the discovery of a 200-foot wide unidentified object at the bottom of the Baltic Sea. Now a team of oceanographers, engineers and deep sea divers will return to the site Friday, June 1, for a 6 to 10 day trip.
They want to find out once and for all what it really is
.

“We don’t know whether it is a natural phenomenon, or an object,” Lindberg, captain of the Ocean Explorer, told FoxNews.com. “We saw it on sonar when we were searching for a wreck from World War I. This circular object just turned up on the monitor.”

“We’ll be searching the area in a number of ways,” Lindberg explained. “We’ll use sonar to make 3D images of the bottom, the clay bottom, of that part of the sea. We’ll send down deep-sea divers too. And a camera robot. We’ll also take samples from the sea bed and measure them for toxicities and radiation.”

At this point, Lindberg said, he and his colleagues “don’t know more than anyone else what it is” down there for certain.

But he’s willing to speculate as to the possibilities. The crash debris could be from a meteor, he told FoxNews.com. It could a naturally occurring gas well discovery -- located interestingly enough in international waters, he added. Or, he muses, it could be the remains of a Russian warship from the late 19th century.

“I don’t think it’s an ordinary stone formation, or cargo dropped from a ship,” Lindberg said. “But it can be a lot of things. If it’s not manmade, and was made by another form of intelligent life, it would be very lucky. I’ve never won the lottery before!”

Others claim that the object, located 300 feet beneath the surface of the Baltic Sea, may be a natural formation, or even an emerging volcano.

The Ocean Explorer crew includes 13 researchers, including a sonar expert, and a camera crew from Swedish TV that will document the event. Lindberg said he is in negotiations with Microsoft to see if the event can be carried live on the Internet, from the remote location in international waters via video streaming.

“We’re working with Microsoft on that, but nothing is final yet. Tell them we want to do a deal,” he joked.

The exploration is funded by private investors and bank notes that Ocean Explorer has secured, said Lindberg. The initial discovery of the unidentified sea object was made during a trek to find Swedish commercial ships sunk by the German Navy during World War I last summer.

Wouldn't it be cool if it was gone?
Just a shallow depression in the mud or something?

Taken frm "Aftonbladet.se"
Russians and Americans near the place where the object is located is secret, but there is still a concern among the team that someone has got there before it. The area lies in international waters and there are no laws that prevent others to explore the bottom. - Right now it's a military exercise in the area where both Russians and Americans are involved. I can not help but wonder why it is happening right now, said Dennis Åsberg.
A little fuel for conspiracy theories? wink

At least a little most likely. A crying shame too. I was looking forward to an honest search.

Come on, you really didn't think that they were going to let something actually be found or discovered did you shocked. They're using our money to find, pickup and hide anything thing that may be out there, and they don't care how much they need to use to do it, now that's what I call having funding to do something. No need to look or ask for funding when you can just go do it and write it off, same with the Russians or any other government that may do any of these as well as other type of things rolleyes. I don't see why anyone would be surprised about this rolleyes. I had it in my mind that if it was something that the governments didn't know about that they would have at least have snuck in there during the off months and not waited until they were planning as well as had announced that they were returning to do a search of the area. Now that for some reason America and Russia have decided to have their little war games or whatever in that very area it may be at the same time to me if not to anyone else is a little strange, but then again sounds like something they would do to keep the area closed until they finish their work there. It all sounds to planned out to me. Hype for the camera as well as the investigation or at least that may be what they are trying to do to make this an even bigger thing for people to dwell on. Everyone had to know that if it was something then this was bond to happen and with no real proof on what may have been there or still is there one way or another rolleyes. May as well call this one "CASE CLOSED", because if there was something there we'll never know what it is or was. And if there wasn't anything there then it adds to the hype and will keep people talking about it even though there was truly nothing there " WE'LL NEVER REALLY FIND OUT THE REAL TRUTH,AS ALWAYS". SAME OLD SAME OLD AS ALWAYS. I thought that this was going to happen as soon as they started all this and wanted to wait for some reason. Came out pretty much the way I thought it might, or the way most if not all these type of things seem to end in one of these sort of ways. At least we won't have to wait for any of their series to start and end up like AL CAPONES VAULT or some of those other waste of time and film shows that they put out there, or at least that is the way I look at it. If they found this and thought it may have been something of extreme importants you would have thought that they would have kept it quite until they found funding and went back and did a full search and investigation of the area before making such claims about what it may or could have been. As then as I still feel now about what they had said and where they took what little they knew then as now had no real evidence to make such claims on what it could possibly be before doing a real search of the area and getting true facts before making such statements, just doesn't sound very professtional to me at least for what these people are suppose to be and represent. May have been just to get some sponsers to pay for this little venture, investigation whether they found anything or not,a free ride with all expenses paid and don't forget about all the free camera time and making them look very important as they were to go about doing this investigation, even when they may have found nothing rolleyes. Well I'm glad it's over, now I won't have to seat around waiting and wondering if or what they may have found and if we're going to know about it and wait for the show to air as with some other such stories that ended up nowhere. As always just my thoughts on this and not meant to offend anyone. smiley JIM
