Not exactly Sys. With our current press corp nothing is okay to slip by. Unless you really enjoy interpreting and translating on a constant basis.

I suggest that someone try drilling a hole right through it and see what happens to the electronic interference that is allegedly happening.

Maybe best not to park right above it whilst doing this.

Another follow-up article:

http://news.yahoo.com/mysterious-baltic-sea-object-glacial-deposit-154845865.html

It seems there are competing stories going on here. The diving team reporting this and recovering samples claim it is really strange, etc. etc. and also make claims that scientists are calling this thing some sort of possible Atlantean thingamajig.

But when reporters follow up with the named scientists, they get a completely different version. This is looking more like some conflation and wishful thinking (or a way to monetize sensationalism) than anything truly mysterious. Perhaps cool geological formations just don't rake the cash in, or warrant spending the money to investigate, so a possibly hoaxy story of the otherworldly will do the trick?

Hi Reasoner;

I've noticed this as well. Talk to one of the team who found it, and you hear about what's probably a geological phenomenon. Read any third party report and you get sensationalism. Ridiculous.

Assuming that is an accurate drawing, it looks like what we call a river rock. A rock shaped by centuries of grinding by water and mud.
And that grabs my interest.
To smooth and shape a rock that big and to leave it on a pedestal took time and current. I have to ask if it was shaped there or what conditions in the past did the work.

Yes, that would be one huge river rock. It does sound like it's nothing more than a rock though. It's very telling when they refuse to release things like location. They're probably thinking that they'll be able to milk this a lot further, because visibility at those latitudes is usually limited to a few feet at best, meaning that they aren't going to be able to deliver a decent image of the object if they can get one at all.

This stinks of profiteering, plain and simple. What does Ocean X's ledger look like the past couple of years?

It's also interesting to note that the UFO concept was actually a media concept. But perhaps you should be following my suggestion to check on the financial status of Ocean-X if you want a clue about the truth at the moment? No UFO investigation is available. Ocean-X has yet to even clarify the exact location.
