You’ve probably seen these as well then as two of them are the ones John referenced, but just in case…..
It definitely sounds as if something ‘fell to earth’ but perhaps the reasons no investigations were undertook is as you can see by Peter’s comments his attempts at contacting the witnesses for further information were less than promising.

it does all seem a bit strange maybe some military test flight etc then again,,,
there is a chance that witnesses would be a bit more willing to talk now?

strange orange golden sky with double rainbow with horizontal lightning for at least 30 mins.
It was 4th of July 2004. I was watching tv and noticed the sky had a strange color. I went outside and saw the sky from ALL around (a strange color golden sky) very very strange with lighting going through the sky horizontal. There was a perfect double rainbow and the neighbors were all outside looking at the strange sky.
I did not see any craft but the sky was really strange.
I was looking at the other sightings on this day and Winter Spirngs is just next to that dog rack road in Casselberry, Florida where the other people on this website reported what had happend. There was NO news coverage. I feel this definitly was a coverup as does the other people that witnesed that strange sky. If it was a crash of a satilight, the sky would not be that color for all that time.

That was what I submitted to the National Reporting Center. I do have a question if there is any scientist out there that can answer a question. If it was indeed man made or a potential meteor, would it produce a sky like that? Would plasma cause a sky to have that appearance?

Thanks for all the great info guys! I lived in Casselberry off Kingsley when this happened. This is very close to Dog Track Road and the site of the "crash". I was about 4 or 5 miles away w/ friends like many of us were that night. I heard/felt the explosion and it sent most of my group inside for fear of a terrorist attack. Obviously not fireworks or even guns. If I were a teenager, I would probably camped out for days at the spot. However, as a working adult, it was about a week and a half before a friend I made my our to the scene at night. We drove a little past the BRAND NEW signs warning prosecution for trespassing before turning around. As we did, out of the passenger side of the car I shined a flashlight into an ENORMOUS excavation. The area had been completely gutted several feet deep and for what looked like hundreds of yards in a few directions. We made our way back the next afternoon and the area had been filled! There remained only 2 or 3 bulldozers left unattended. Even thought this was the talk of anyone living or partying in the area for some time, the only media coverage was, as reported here, from a local rock DJ. Can anyone remember the DJ? I also vaguely remember a quick video being played on the local news either the night of or after the crash. I could be wrong about that. This was obviously covered up extremely well, which lends easily to the notion something very heavy took place. Thanks again for all the great info everyone!

Thank you for your information. I have a question for you. Is there a retention pond where you witnessed the area of the crash site? There are a few retention ponds there now. I was told by another witness that one of the retention ponds is the site of where she witnessed a huge area of coverup and large trucks in the area.

I don't believe they were there before, but it wouldn't surprise me if they weren't. For whoever covered this up, I doubt it would be possible for them to fill the enormous hole i saw completely in a single day. Have you heard anything more about the people supposedly becoming ill? I remember grumblings of that when I was there.

One witness said " the retention ponds were put there AFTER the crash site." I don't know of anyone with sickness after the incident but read that there, in fact were people that got sick.

Something very interesting to add to this...I was watching UFO Hunters episode "Heartland Explosion" Investigating strange airborne lights filmed over Denver, an Ear-Piercing, high decibel boom. This episode is remarkably similar to the Casselberry incident. People reporting a high decibel boom, people in the area reporting windows shaking in their homes and a field that was roped off to the public after the incident. The other interesting similarity is the orange color in the sky that was seen for miles.

Hi there,
I'm not sure if any of you have gotten any answers to the questions concerning the 2004 happenings in Casselberry Florida? Please reply if anything has been found out, or if not. It's Ironic that in the mid 80's myself and 3 others saw something in the sky over the intersection at Dog Track Road and 17-92 around 11:00 to 12:00 one night. Coincedence maybe, yet maybe it can be explained.

Hello again,
This is going to be lengthy...sorry 
On the subject of this site where the hole was rather large in the ground near the Dog Track or either at the Track. Could it have been some sort satelite that his the ground? I guess we may never know what really happened. However, I've tried to pull up some sites on Satellite crashes and hopefully it will shed more light.
I do want to say though with the reports that have been conveyed on this site of the size of the hole it made in the ground if it was a UFO would make since to me and the 3 other people that were with me that night at the Dog Track Road intersection and 17-92 because we saw a HUGE hovering craft as it appeared to us to be.
We looked out of our windows of the car and from the best my husband and I can remember was the size of this craft, Vaguely, we do remember seeing as we were looking up at this object were some kind of rectangle shaped windows and some maybe were square as well. They were not all the same sizes. You could not see through the windows the craft seemed very dark in color yet on the underbelly of it is where these winow like things were at.
The only colors I remember seeing were these window like shapes with the outline of the window have a darkesh like color outlining it. Such as a dark purple like color and maybe even a dark blue. However, I don't recall the inside part of the window having any color at all. It appeard to be the same color as the rest of the craft a very dark color. With only the outline of the rectangle/square shapes with the color outline I mentioned.
I do not know the mechanics of keeping objects in the sky up and not falling to the ground since I am not in engeneering of any sort or rocket science. However, from what I remember the size of that being would take alot of power to keep it in the air and have it not to move very much at the same time.
It possibly was very slowly rotating as well. That's all we really remember. My husband said for us to get out of the car and take a closer look and I said "No Way" I do remember being a little scared and he remembers me being a little scared as well. My mom was with us and my niece as well.
