xx Dreaming about dead parents, the meaning?
« Thread started on: Sep 13th, 2013, 10:13pm »

Lately, my dead parents have been showing up in my dreams.

If my parents are in my dreams, they seem just to be observers and not part of the dream action.

I usually do not dream about my parents, so is this a good or bad thing?

What are they trying to tell me?

What does this all mean ?

They could be saying they have their eyes on you.
Or you may be wishing they could see you now or that you wish you had them back.
Hard to say.
I have a young dark haired girl I do not know that appears in many of my dreams watching from the sidelines as it were.

It's my belief that spirits of deceased love ones come back to visit us in dreams for a couple of reasons. One is the fact that in the subconscious state of a dream we're more open to them. The second is we're not scared of them.

What does it mean? Only you can answer that. How did it make you feel? My guess and this is purely a guess is that they want you to know that they're still around and with you. Considering they were more or less in the background that would be what I would take from it.

Sometimes dreaming of death just means change. Back in the 1980s I dreamt of my own death, vividly, and freaked out pretty badly when I woke up. I called a friend up who was pretty savvy about such things, and described the dream to him. I just knew he was going to tell me that I'd dreamt my own death, as a premonition, because that's what it felt like. But nope.

He interpreted the dream in the most unexpected manner. He said that it represented a major change, and that my current boyfriend was going to ask me to marry him. I'd only been dating the fellow for a short time, so even this didn't make sense. And the two men had never spoken, so it wasn't like inside info.

Sure enough, a couple of weeks later, he popped the question.

I was stunned. How you get a marriage proposal out of a death dream, I don't know. But it left a strong impression on me that dreaming of death means change, or transformation.
