Remove craft and replace the sky?

You seem to be saying that the background sky in the annotated image is too perfect. That is, if one begins with the Raj image, there should be evidence of the removal process on the sky in the annotated image. Is that the issue?

And now for something completely different.

I think the shadows in your video are wrong and where is the white (overexposed) sky.

It really is time to move on and leave this carcass to the humorist.

Marvin, I think someone did just edit out the craft.

Pay careful attention to the bottom wire/cable that crosses the drone. There is a straight steel cable (silver), and wrapped around that like the threads of a screw are the electrical wires (black). You can see when the drone was erased that they also erased part of the black wires, and you can only see the silver cable. They erased too much..

Also, the drone wasn't really covering that much sky. A simple "push" or "smudge" or "clone" tool could easily patch the missing portion and you wouldn't really know.

Here is an example of someone removing an entire pole using a clone tool;

Good day.

Hi 11,

I understand the concept:

User Image

I did not like the rope running through the photo, so I removed it...

User Image

I also know what is involved to do this... which begs the question, why do all of that work just to point out things on a pole?

IF it was simply removed... why?

(As it was said in "Hunt for Red October," the Russians don't take a dump without a plan.)

Oh Marv
Poor Mr Ed..whatever became of him?, Katter might know, did they ..(oh no.) send him to the glue factory or did they stuff him like Triggercry?
What will we do with Lev, I don't think he would make reliable glue, since his story hasn't held together, irrespective of so many cut and paste and God only knows what other obscene, if not, naughty things were done with the photos .?

Happy Trails !

An interesting and evasive response to a simple question.

Why?

Shurely you jest me thinking ! ? grin

I know this is the doldrums of August, but aren't there more.. err .. sizable aspects of this case to ponder.. ?

That's why I'm thinking you are joking.. because if I can remove a drone from that image anyone can
Well.. almost anyone... let me put it this way.. anyone who knows the basics of MS Paint can wink

Well, my 2 cents for what it's worth. If the question is why would someone take the extra care to remove the drone so there is no trace of it or the edit - my answer is simple and not farfetched to me. It comes down to the person doing it and the quality level they set for themselves.
One can do a hack job and be happy with it because they don't really care or are unable to do better or one can do it right and take some pride in their work.
Speaking for myself, if I was doing it I would not be happy with it until it looked like the drone may have never been there. I find nothing unusual with someone else doing the same.
If the issue here is something else i.e., someone using an original image used in the composite then that's another matter and topic.
