There is 18 special UFO files in the UK that the MoD has promised to release.

The MoD keeps playing "cat and mouse".

This battle has been going on since 2013.

Nick Pope claims foul !

The MoD has minimized UFOs for years saying UFOs are insufficient, but now they treat these special 18 files as if they were nuclear secrets.

Nick says unprecedented. !

Lost 18 MOD Files: 15 Released With More To Follow

Drew. KGRA Digital Broadcasting
June 22, 2017

At least some of the 18 ufo/uap files have been released today by the national archives in the UK. Some of the files have been redacted plus it looks like at first glance they have held back at least 3 files.

KGRA is also posting the request that led to the national archives letting us know they had been released. Thanks, Kerry McClure of The Field Reports and KGRA News

http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/results/r

Here is Kerry’s correspondence:

Dear Kerry McClure,
Thank you for your email to The National Archives of the United Kingdom.
I am happy to report that the UFO report records are now open from today.

Please see the following link for details http://discovery.nationalarchiov.uk/results/r
Please note, records that are open access are available to anyone, irrespective of nationality.
Regards,
Ian

Because of John Burroughs and his FOIA requests back in 2014 to the MOD regarding the UFO Files Dump and documents he believed were still being withheld, John was the sole reason we ever knew they lied and didn’t release them all as they had stated.

Thank you John, as what can be gleamed from these will come in the days ahead but I am holding my breath, waiting to see what was left after the redactions…

'Britain's X-Files' reveal a UFO was spotted floating above Skegness for seven hours but RAF officials were told to IGNORE it

• RAF were 'overruled at the highest level' and told to ignore the strange light
• The Ministry of Defence was criticised for a shambolic reaction
• A government official wrote to the Ministry of Defence voicing concerns
• The cache of 15 files contains details of UFO sightings for the last 50 years
• Strangely, the files have not yet been digitised sparking conspiracy theories
• UFO hunters are hoping the files shed light on the Rendlesham Forest incident

A UFO was visible on military radar for seven hours above the Wash in Skegness in 1996 but officials were ordered to do nothing about it, according to a shocking document from 'Britain's X-Files'.

The RAF was 'overruled at the highest level' and told to ignore the strange bright lights - which flashed red, blue and white - despite the fact several witnesses also spotted it.

The Ministry of Defence was criticised for a shambolic reaction which some believed could have put the nation at serious risk in one of the country's most mysterious UFO sightings.

The UFO files have revealed that on the morning of 5 October 1996 bright lights were reported by several civilians but the Defence Secretary at the time, Michael Portillo, did nothing, according to a report from The Sun.

An unnamed government official wrote to the Ministry of Defence voicing concerns.

'The RAF is supposed to, or so I believed, to be keeping a watchful eye on activity in the UK, but seem to have no idea what is going on', the minister wrote.

'Do they have standard procedure for these incidents? They had enough time to think about it, because the object was on our radar for upwards of seven hours!' he said.

'While I am interested in finding out what was seen, my primary concern stems from the absolute shambles that such events seem to cause'.

The letter also suggests a police video of the lights mysteriously disappeared.

Reports of the strange lights made front pages and were serialised in various TV shows at the time.

This document is just one of many that was released last week as part of a series of files that were released by the government having been kept secret for almost 50 years.

The cache of 15 files, which have been published by the National Archives, contain details of UFO sightings seen all over the country.

WHAT ARE 'BRITAIN'S X-FILES'?

The cache of 15 files, which have been published by the National Archives, contain details of sightings of UFOs over almost five decades.

They contain information about a number of high profile incidents that are believed to be related to extra-terrestrials, including in Rendlesham Forest in 1980, dubbed 'Britain's Roswell.'

The papers were originally meant to be released in 2013 alongside thousands of others which did see the light of day, but 18 specific documents were withheld. No one knows exactly why.

Fifteen have now been published with the remaining three still withheld.

The release marks the final stages of what's been a nine-year long project to declassify and release the MoD's entire archive of UFO files.

Mysteriously, the files have not yet been digitised so enthusiasts must go to the National Archives in Kew, West London if they want to have access to them.

...A UFO was visible on military radar for seven hours above the Wash in Skegness in 1996 ..

I will have to look this one up.

However, it should be pointed out that Skegness is actually on the coast of the North Sea, not The Wash. The Wash is about ten miles further south; down the coastline.

Another point is that, although I don't know if this was true back in 1996, one of the main airways from Europe enters the UK more or less over the Wash. I came in via that route myself a couple month back.

There would be aircraft passing through that area every minute or two, so it would be expected that any lights that had been hanging around for several hours would have been seen by many airborne pilots and crew.
