Nessie has not been seen in over a year, and this goes against a 90 year old record.

Is Nessie dead ! ?

This is hurting the tourist trade in Inverness, and the tourism board wants Nessie back.

Nah, Silver, it is all those tourists in their noisy boats, the sonar buoys and underwater cameras from scientists and various Nessie 'enthusiasts' that must be getting on Nessie's nerves! cheesy

And who's 'Nessie'? I think a real organism has been observed and reported. If one actual ancient Dragon, it not only is something utterly beyond our ken, this individual has to be OOOLD, millennia perhaps, remnant of the (apparently not entirely 'mythological') Dragon myths and legends.

I like the idea Nessie has been in truth a surviving family (of endless generations) of Dinosaur, possibly a Plesiosaur, who have a territory/hunting ground within, or at least pass through the loch where they occasionally are seen by locals and visitors. Kindof: Jurassic Pond!

Too hardy survivors to be presumed dead: we will be seeing them, or Nessie, again....

Hi Silver

If all Nessie sightings eventually stopped for 2 or 3 years that might be bad for tourism but it would be strong evidence that Nessie had always been real.

Because the three main skeptical debunkings offered for Nessie - misinterpreted waves, vivid imaginations, and a lie told to generate tourism - none of those factors would take a break of even one year.

Good thinking, Freyasday!

If it was dead, wouldn't it float up to the surface?

I was under the impression that after a few days all bodies float to the surface due to gas generated by decomposition.

Nessie is alive and well and is at present visiting her cousin in Canada for respite due to consuming cheap Japanese whiskey.
