The U.S. Air Force is preparing to place its fleet of nuclear-armed B-52 bombers on 24-hour alert

The U.S. Air Force is preparing to place its fleet of nuclear-armed B-52 bombers on 24-hour alert for the first time since 1991 amid escalating tensions with North Korea, the military branch's chief of staff said in a report Sunday.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/10/22/air-force-preparing-b-52-bombers-for-24-hour-alert-status-official-says.html

“It’s no longer a bipolar world where it’s just us and the Soviet Union. We’ve got other players out there who have nuclear capability. It’s never been more important to make sure that we get this mission right,” Goldfein added.

Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana, home of the 2d Bomb Wing and Air Force Global Strike Command, which manages the service’s nuclear services, is being renovated, Defense One reported, so that B-52s would be ready to “take off at a moment’s notice.”

The 24-hour alert status for B-52s ended in 1991, in the waning days of the Cold War.

New evidence from court documents and intelligence sources combine to show the unthinkable: U.S. Senator John McCain colluded with the FBI and possibly the DNC to sandbag President Donald Trump, before and after the 2016 election.

https://soaznewsx.com/new-evidence-shows-mccain-helped-fund-fbi-plot-to-frame-trump-backed-bogus-russian-trump-dossier/

True Pundit broke a story weeks ago that ex-FBI chief James Comey’s FBI funded the bogus Trump dossier to the tune of $100K+ with the help of McCain who brokered the deal. The revelations the FBI paid for the dossier were also confirmed by Judicial Watch.

But now court documents and new source Intel raise suspicions that McCain may have chipped in financially with the FBI or privately funded the counterfeit research, either himself or through his shady foundation.

User Image

According to a court document (attached below) in a British lawsuit against the author of the Fusion GPS report, Christopher Steele, McCain along with a man named David Kramer were the first people to obtain the Trump dossier.

Kramer, a virtual mystery man before the election, previously worked for the State Department under Hillary Clinton. During the 2016 election, Kramer reportedly worked as senior director for Arizona State University’s McCain Institute for International Leadership.

McCain and Kramer shopped the damaging dossier to the U.S. media..

User Image

When the mainstream media balked, McCain shopped the dossier to Comey. According to True Pundit’s reporting, the FBI cut what now appears to be a side deal to further underwrite Steele’s unfounded research.

User Image

How was McCain the first person to obtain the falsified research if he didn’t in fact have a role in commissioning the dossier? It was provided to no other U.S. senator.

Commander of 1st flight of space shuttle Challenger dies

By bob christie, associated press
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Oct 24, 2017, 8:41 AM ET

Paul Weitz, a retired NASA astronaut who commanded the first flight of the space shuttle Challenger and also piloted the Skylab in the early 1970s, has died. He was 85.

Weitz died at his retirement home in Flagstaff, Arizona, on Monday, said Laura Cutchens of the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation. No cause of death was given.

A NASA biography says Weitz was among the class of 19 astronauts who were chosen in April 1966. He served as command module pilot on the first crew of the orbiting space laboratory known as Skylab during a 28-day mission in 1973.

Weitz also piloted the first launch of the shuttle Challenger in April 1983. The five-day mission took off from the Kennedy space Center in Florida and landed at Edwards Air Force Base in California. The Challenger was destroyed and seven crew members killed during its 10th launch on January 28, 1986.

In all, he logged 793 hours in space and retired as deputy director of the Johnson Space Center in May 1994.

Weitz was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, on July 25, 1932, and graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in aeronautical engineering in 1954, according to NASA. He then joined the Navy, serving on a destroyer before being chosen for flight training and earning his wings as a Naval Aviator in September 1956. He served in various naval squadrons, including service in Vietnam, before joining the Astronaut Corps.

According to the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation, Weitz returned to the Navy after his mission on Skylab mission and retired as a captain in July 1976 after serving 22 years. He then came out of retirement to re-join NASA.

"Paul Weitz's name will always be synonymous with the space shuttle Challenger. But he also will be remembered for defying the laws of gravity - and age," said Curtis Brown, board chairman of the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation and an astronaut and veteran of six space flights. "Before it became commonplace to come out of retirement, Paul was a pioneer. He proved 51 was just a number."

The foundation is supported by astronauts from the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Skylab, Space Shuttle and Space Station programs and annually provides scholarships for 45 students.

Produced prior to the launch of Skylab, this publicity film featuring astronauts Charles "Pete" Conrad, Joseph P. Kerwin and Paul J. Weitz, gives an overview of the space station and its mission. Skylab was a space station launched and operated by NASA and was the United States' first space station. Skylab orbited the Earth from 1973 to 1979, and included a workshop, a solar observatory, and other systems. It was launched unmanned by a modified Saturn V rocket, with a weight of 169,950 pounds (77 t). Three manned missions to the station, conducted between 1973 and 1974 using the Apollo Command/Service Module (CSM) atop the smaller Saturn IB, each delivered a three-astronaut crew. On the last two manned missions, an additional Apollo / Saturn IB stood by ready to rescue the crew in orbit if it was needed.

The station was damaged during launch when the micrometeoroid shield separated from the workshop and tore away, taking one of two main solar panel arrays with it and jamming the other one so that it could not deploy. This deprived Skylab of most of its electrical power, and also removed protection from intense solar heating, threatening to make it unusable. The first crew was able to save it in the first in-space major repair, by deploying a replacement heat shade and freeing the jammed solar panels.

Skylab included the Apollo Telescope Mount, which was a multi-spectral solar observatory, Multiple Docking Adapter (with two docking ports), Airlock Module with EVA hatches, and the Orbital Workshop, the main habitable volume. Electrical power came from solar arrays, as well as fuel cells in the docked Apollo CSM. The rear of the station included a large waste tank, propellant tanks for maneuvering jets, and a heat radiator.

Tortured Alien Ranch Owners Are Desperate to Sell Infamous Property

By Kevin Burwick — October 23rd, 2017

Owners of Arizona's infamous "Alien Ranch" have put the property up for sale, and it can be yours for a mere $5 million dollars. The owners are desperate to get rid of their Stardust Ranch, where they claim they have been terrorized by aliens for the past 20 years. In addition to getting probed and attacked by extraterrestrials, the property also comes with a pretty sweet swimming pool, which you will definitely need while living in Arizona. The 10-acre property was even featured on the Travel Channel's Ghost Adventures in 2016, so this place has some cred.

John Edmonds and his wife Joyce say the aliens, which they call "greys," (they appear to be little grey men) have been attacking them for over 20 years on the property in Buckeye, Arizona. John, 58, says he has no choice but to slay them with one of his many samurai swords that he keeps around the house. Unfortunately, once they are cut with the samurai blade, the grey bodies vanish immediately afterward, making it impossible for him to preserve them for research. However, John does have photographs that feature blood smeared on the ground with a samurai sword above the mess. It isn't clear why John hasn't tried to trap one of the aliens, but that's surely a story for another day as right now, the family just wants to leave.

The property was once put up for sale 11 years ago for a little over a million dollars, but since the Stardust Ranch was shown on the Travel Channel, the price has ballooned up an additional $4 million dollars. The Edmonds family believe that there is a portal on the property, which links them to another universe in which the "greys" travel through. Another one of their theories is that a spaceship or UFO is buried beneath the property, which was built in 1977. John Edmonds says that the aliens pop up at random times, sometimes in groups, but they are always there to do one thing: attack him. Mr. Edmonds isn't the only target of the "greys." As 53-year old Joyce says the mischievous creatures have even sexually molested her in her bedroom.

The Edmonds family run a horse rescue on the property, but the "greys" have been coming more frequently over the past few years, which makes them want to pack up and move their business over to Maine in an effort to ditch the little grey aliens. It isn't clear if the "greys" are doing anything to the horses as the Edmonds family have only talked about themselves as the targets of the abuse. It is nice of John and Joyce to be upfront about the alien attacks on the property because nobody warned them when they bought the 40-year old property 20 years ago.

The 3,436-square-foot home appears to be a regular ranch-style house, with five bedrooms and four bathrooms. The listing includes an electronic gate for privacy (except from the aliens). It appears to work for humans, if not extraterrestrials, but we can't tell since the listing does not provide any pictures from inside of the house. The realtor didn't include the inside pictures because of all of the "weird" things that have gone on at the house. If you'd like to purchase the Stardust Ranch, you can receive further information via USA Today. It isn't clear if the samurai swords come with the house or not, so buyer beware.

FBI informant’s testimony sought as Clinton-Russia uranium case re-emerges

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/oct/23/hillary-clinton-russia-uranium-case-informants-tes/?

A controversial 2010 deal that cleared the way for a Kremlin-backed company to gain control of a huge chunk of America’s uranium supply is getting new scrutiny as a Capitol Hill inquiry gears up to probe the Obama administration’s suspected silencing of an FBI informant who reportedly had information on high-level corruption by Russian nuclear officials who engineered the deal.

User Image

Mr. Trump, meanwhile, has seized on the renewed attention to the case. He accused news media of focusing incessantly on Russian meddling in the presidential election and charges of collusion between Trump campaign officials and Russian operatives, rather than seriously investigating the uranium deal.

User Image

“That’s your real Russia story — not a story where they talk about collusion and there was none. It was a hoax. Your real Russia story is uranium,” the president said during a meeting Thursday about Puerto Rico’s hurricane recovery efforts.
Congressional sources say the case, which has lurked behind the scenes in Washington for years and involves accusations of misconduct by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and questionable contributions to the family’s Clinton Foundation, could be about to blow open if the Trump administration approves a request by the Senate Judiciary Committee’s chairman to allow the FBI informant to testify.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles E. Grassley, Iowa Republican, called on the Justice Department on Wednesday to lift a nondisclosure agreement that he said prevented a former FBI confidential informant in the case from speaking to Congress about the handling of a criminal probe linked to the deal.
In a letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Mr. Grassley wrote that the department, which has jurisdiction over the FBI, had threatened to prosecute the informant if he disclosed details about the investigation to lawmakers.

Good morning lovely people cheesy

Science Alert

There's a Single Molecule in Blood That Makes Predators Go Crazy For It

And that same chemical is repulsive to humans.

PETER DOCKRILL
25 OCT 2017

A chemical scent contained in the spilt blood of mammals is irresistible to predator species craving fresh kill, but provokes a very different reaction in animals that are hunted.

Researchers have found that E2D, a molecular component of animal blood, is as effective as actual blood in luring wolves, tigers, and wild dogs, but produces aversion in prey species who may associate it with danger and death, not dinner.

While smells constitute a range of chemical signals to various species, the researchers say E2D stands alone by eliciting significant behavioural responses in different animals like this.

"This finding is unique, as it is the first demonstration of a single chemical cue with the dual function of informing both approach and avoidance in a predator-prey predicted manner across taxonomically distant species," says psychologist Artin Arshamian from Radboud University in the Netherlands.

"Importantly, it is the first known chemosignal that affects human and non-human animals alike."

E2D, aka trans–4,5-epoxy-(E)–2-decenal, forms when fats in blood break down due to exposure to the air. No open wounds, no E2D.

The molecule was first identified by researchers in 2014, who isolated it from pig's blood, then tested its olfactory appeal with three species of wild dog and some Siberian tigers thrown in for good measure.

In short, the predators couldn't get enough – sniffing, licking, biting, pawing, and toying with wooden logs slathered with E2D and its scent. For the most part, the team observed the same behaviour in the animals as when real blood was used in the experiments.

In the new research, the team wanted to see what the effect of E2D was on less bloodthirsty organisms, reasoning its metallic odour wouldn't go unnoticed.

"We hypothesised that prey species would be under evolutionary pressure to become sensitive to E2D," biologist Johan Lundström from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden told AFP, "to help them avoid an area where a bloodbath is going on."

And that's exactly what the results seem to suggest. In new experiments, the researchers found E2D attracted wolves and also blood-sucking flies.

But when they exposed mice to the substance, the animals displayed flight behaviour and tried to avoid the chemical, much like they did with blood.

In humans, an experiment with forty volunteers saw the participants lean back slightly when E2D was pumped in their faces – a recoil gesture that researchers interpret as a sign of aversion to odour.

What's more, it didn't take much of the scent to trigger a negative response.

"Humans are able to detect E2D at concentrations of less than one part per trillion," one of the team, zoologist Matthias Laska from Linkoping University in Sweden told AFP.

"This is uncommon. For the majority of odourants which have been tested with humans, the detection threshold is in the parts-per-million or billion range."

Of course, one of the big differences between humans and prey species like mice is that we're actually pretty deadly these days, hunting and eating basically anything else that moves.

But it wasn't always that way, and our aversion to the smell of blood carried on the wind may hint at a distant past, in which E2D signalled a threat: we could end up on the menu if we didn't vacate the area fast.

"Our finding in humans fits in with the paleontological data showing that early primates were small-bodied insectivores," Lundström explains in a press release.

"There is no question that humans are opportunistic predators, but we probably evolved from a prey species and some aspects of this trait linger on."

The findings are reported in Scientific Reports.

ALIEN TERROR? Man 'stared at by crew of bizarre triangle UFO hovering over crop field'

A MAN has told how "time stopped" after he locked eyes with the crew of a bizarre triangular UFO he claims to have seen hovering over a field.

By Jon Austin
PUBLISHED: 11:59, Wed, Oct 25, 2017

Philip Shepherdson has revealed the encounter he says he experienced near York in North Yorkshire.

He was driving a scooter on country lanes near Easingwold, when he turned left towards Huby, and was distracted by something.

He said: "I looked to my left and my heart flipped at what I saw. Hovering in a corner of a small field was a black triangular shaped object.

"I stopped to get a better look not believing what I was seeing."

Triangle UFOs are once of the most commonly reported, particularly in the United states where hundreds are seen each year.

Some truth seekers believe they are alien spaceships, while others believer they are top-secret craft built by governments in experimental projects.

Mr Shepherdson added: "The object was smooth with no control surfaces and no sharp edges and at the top was a cockpit with a figure inside it.

"All I could see was a black shaped helmet and a black overall of some kind.

"By the side of the craft I now realised there were two more slim looking figures who too wore black overalls and they were trying to push the vehicle into the next field perhaps to conceal it amongst the standing crop.

"They abruptly stopped to look in my direction; the cockpit figure too, turned to gaze at me.

"I felt transfixed with fear. I was shaking. The silence was stifling as we gazed at each other and I felt some form of contact taking place but I just don’t know what that was.

“Time appeared to stop."

One of the most infamous triangle UFO mass sightings was the Phoenix Lights Incident over the Arizona city in 1997.

Some of the witnesses later reported experiencing memory loss, and a strange sense of calm, that made them not discuss the sighting with anyone else.

Mr Shepherdson spoke of a similar experience after seeing the UFO.

He added: "Suddenly my mind couldn’t take anymore and I got on my bike and took off to work.

ZETAR,

The mind is a clever thing (or should I say the brain is ?; Jury still out on that ) and here is a good example.

A few week back I was having trouble with a floater in my vision.
So I went for a full eye check.

During this the doctor said 'your brain will get used to it'.

And, indeed, I can no longer see the floater.

But is it, as a physical entity, still there ? Or has it gone away ?

Drwu, your cue to jump in here.
