FORUM SEARCH ENGINE

If you follow my instructions in yellow, you'll find that the search works great. If you're on dial-up, reduce the days from 1500 to 120 and the items to be searched from 200 to 50. Try it my way first since even dial-up is quite successful unless you lack memory.

Hi - I'm probably overlooking something obvious, but is there an easy way to get a list of new posts? Or posts since my last visit?
Thanks!

Hi Heyrolled and welcome to UFO Casebook. Somebody else may well correct me on this but as far as I know, the only feature showing latest posts is in the Forum Statistics which you'll find down at the bottom of the forum index page, but it only shows the 10 latest posts when you click on it.
As for searching the forum (or any website for that matter) I find the best way to do that is with an advanced search in Google. Enter your search term in the field at the top, then the website you wish to search in the field at the bottom (in this case, http://ufocasebook.conforums.com )
Using that method you can usually find exactly which thread you're looking for, no matter how old it is, pretty quickly - even if you can't remember the exact title of the thread, or which section it is contained in but can only remember its subject matter.

Hi Heyrolled,
Click on the “Search” button it is the second option along the menu (just under the main picture).
Leave the search query blank.
Scroll to bottom of same page and change the “show” value to either *25* or *50* and that should do it!
Cheers.

Tim,
Just follow DrDil's instructions. It can't get any easier.
I'll reiterate.
1) Click on 'search' 2) Scroll to bottom of page. 3) Change the '10' to 25 or 50 4) Click on 'search' (below the number you just changed).
You don't even need to log-in to search.

I'm trying to find the post about those rings/circles in the sky/space. The rings were multicoloured, does anyone know where I can find it?

is this a flatbase DB or relational DB(preferred for my purposes) Is there any way to get members who have left, but posts still on . It would be nice to click on white colored names that say guest and bring up a profile and then we get their posts. Tons of useful information could be obtained then.. Thank you.
