The 1967 Shag Harbor event had so many witnesses both civil and military.

This event produced books and a History Channel program.

This one event is enough to prove the existence of UFO's beyond any doubt.

I agree, Silvermist, Shag Harbor must be one of most solid, witness confirmed, incontrovertible sighting cases ever.

This case was almost buried and forgotten until a UFO reporter started to dig deep a little further, as far as I know no one has yet given a explanation on this event and it remains unidentified, a UFO or a USO it is highly likely and the fact is it was operated by intelligence with no other ambiguity other than that. You are right. There has never been an explanation for the event.

In some ways Shag Habour could be considered just as or even more significant than Roswell, surrounded by eyewitnesses military involvement with testimony from so many people.
Other than military manouvers which could have been possible something very erratic took place and this is one huge cover up and conspiracy here.
Not one single explanation has ever been put forward by anyone, plausible UFO crash in quite recent times, PowerKnight wink

I agree with you guys, Shag Habour is the most mysterious UFO case ever. Do you know if there is any book about this incident?

Purr, If I remember correctly, the Shag Habour incident was reported at the Blue Book project and MJ-12, am I right?

We all seem to agree on the importance of this case. Alvaroslash, Shag Harbour was a latecomer (1967) to Blue Book, in that the project already had entered a phase marginalizing the UFO phenomenon, as concluded by Dr. Edward U. Condon who believed that nothing had come from or was to be expected from 21 years of studying UFOs which could advance science. He claimed to base his finding on Project Blue Book, its case studies and analysis, however since then many have remarked on the discrepancy between Condon's conclusion, and the significant number of UNKNOWN CATEGORY cases, which allowed no earthly explanation, even after scientific analysis. Simply: Dr. Condon in 1969 told a fib.

Not to bore you or anything, but Condon's team recorded the Shag Harbour report as Case 34, like in 'taking note of it', yet decided there was no need to investigate further. Case dismissed!

Dr Walker did confirm the reality of the MJ12 group as a "handful of the elite". I was personally there during the conversations with the other individual who talked to Dr Walker. I also filed FOIA requests and have his FBI file obtained via the Office of Federal Investigations, and the then Defense Investigative Service file. So I know about Walkers background better than most. I also have his file from National Personal Records Center. He had top clearances. He did mention the MJ12 name was only used for a brief moment in the groups history. It deals with a number of subjects including the UFO situation. The file on MJ12 that was leaked is crap.

Thanks Wu, I missed that part of Alvaro's question. And I basically agree, MJ-12 never published an official report, and since the function and EXISTENCE of this group itself is the subject of highly controversial disclosure, they cannot be used as a 'source'.
